“Thanks to our friends suggesting this place for a unique dining experience we decided to find and locate the Bayou Kitchen & Lounge and were pleasantly surprised. From the decor to the food, you felt like you were transported to a New Orleans restaurant in the French Quarter. We were greeted by our friendly server Eddie who offered us a drink to get started. They had a couple drink specials and a few New Orlean type local beers. We decided to have the Blackened Catfish which was seasoned to perfection. My wife asked if the Gumbo had okra in it and Eddie let us know that it didn't. She asked if she could sample the Gumbo and he was happy to oblige. We also chose the Mac and Cheese and I decided on the Fried Rice with Shrimp and Lobster. Everything we ordered was great and seasoned well, I must admit there was plenty of shrimp in the Fried Rice, but I was hard pressed to find much lobster in my dish. Our server Eddie let us know that he was the nephew of the Chef and invited us to come back on Wednesday when they would be having "Wine and Whiskey Wednesday. He let us know that they will be having a live DJ and a very Party Like Atmosphere. Oh one last thing, the Beignets were Fantastic. Like we were at Cafe Du Monde!!!!“
“A few people recommend this restaurant. I'm not local. And man, it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was so cool. On parts of the wall are retired Mardi Gras floats (faces of them). The staff was friendly and helpful. Thought I probably should have tried what they recommended. I went for the jambalaya and added blackened crawfish. It had such amazing flavor. The house hurricane was perfect. But I wish I had ordered the purple haze. That purple haze was awesome. Last but not least, I ordered the traditional beignets, and they were so soft, moist, and delicious. To say that I was stuffed was and understatement. I will definitely be back.“
“This place is incredible. The atmosphere is such a vibe. Juan greeted my friend and I with a huge smile and positive energy that was contagious! Mary, the sweetest, most amazing server I’ve ever had!! She made great recommendations and she did not steer us wrong. The Shrimp Etouffee is out of this world. You can even do half shrimp and half crawfish. AND THE BEIGNETS!!!!! Don’t get me started on how hot, sweet and delicious they were. I will definitely be returning! Juan and Mary, THANK YOUUU!“
“Delicious! We live in a coastal town and hopes we would find something that was close to home - if you’re looking for the real deal this is it. The portions are very generous, the food came fast and was even better than we expected.I had the garlic noodles with shrimp. The “small plate” was not small. You get your monies worth. The shrimp were a good size - no little skinny shrimp here. If you’re looking for a taste of Cajun food - give it a go!“
“I want to start off by saying that I walked into this restaurant 30 minutes before it closed. I know that I was the jerk in this situation. I had a bad day at work and really wanted to try raw oysters for the first time. The staff at Hook & Reel were so accommodating. The staff didn't make it feel like they were closing for one second. The customer service from my server, whose name was Drina (sorry, I dont know the spelling), was out of this world. The guest service that I received was classic Disney quality. The attention and experience we received were exemplary. It is hard to believe that I enjoyed myself this much when I walked in to a return 30 mins before we closed. Even if you don't like sea food, eat here, have fun, and enjoy the experience of what prioritizing customer service looks like.“
“Ordered through Uber Eats and was delivered very well packaged and in window of time expected.First, I have to say this was my wife's first time having crayfish and she LOVED IT! It was a good sized order and seasoned very well. All of the food was extremely good.Definitely worth going or having delivered.“
“A very casual & great seafood place. The owner was very personable. Really loved her. She helped with our order, and the portions turned out perfect for a group.of 4 adults & 2 young kids.Highly recommend the seafood boil, the calamari w/fries were perfectly fried!Parking: Park in front of the street, same in the back lot. It's a shard parking area with limited availability. Go early for better chances.“
“Went to Universal on the High School Band trip & it was my daughter’s 17th birthday. We had 1 hour until the charter bus left & we let our waiter know that. He was extremely friendly & accommodating. Not only did they make sure the food was brought out extremely fast but they also got the to go boxes & check to us fast. Also brought her dessert & sang to her getting the entire restaurant involved. All of this and we made it to the bus in time. Food was great as well. I highly recommend the stuffed shrimp. Thank y’all so very much. You made her birthday so very special.“
“We had the beef pho it was delicious! No MSG and straight bone broth! Healthy and delicious. We also had the Cajun catfish and coconut shrimp. Catfish was so tender and seasoned well. The coconut shrimp tasted very coconut forward and fresh. We also had the firecracker shrimp as the appetizer and the shrimps were so big! Definitely going to come back again.“
“My family & I visited this establishment on Easter Sunday. At first I didn’t expect to like it because upon arriving their credit card machine was down & they were only accepting cash app, Zelle, etc. which I thought was very odd for a restaurant plus they seemed a bit under staffed along with something being wrong with my order when it came out but that all changed when the manager came to personally address the situation & correct the issue. I ended up getting an extra side on the house. I had the seafood boil with snow crabs & it was finger licking good, the margaritas drinks were made just right, & the vibe was amazing. I sang my lil heart on stage for karaoke. Just a great time & fun experience. I gave 4 stars because of what I explained in the beginning but I’ll definitely be back & next time it will be on a Thursday night which I heard is even more live.“
“I’ve been searching high and low for Haitian food that tastes like my boyfriend’s mom made it and I finally found it! I’m heading back there now as I type this actually lol.My boyfriend and I both had legume, sos pwa, and diri blan and it was amazing. Oftentimes Caribbean food can cause my stomach to burn after I eat it because of the grease, but not this plate.I highly recommend this place, especially if you’ve never tasted Haitian food before because this is what it should taste like!Sorry there are no pictures, once I tasted it, I had to just eat it lol“
“Flavors there good sauce! Shabang sauce medium Shrimps always good, depends on the seafood and how fresh, (had blue crab before it wasn't the freshest and the crawfish isn't throughly clean). Good place for seafood when it's fresh“
“As a vegan I always have to be creative with what I'm purchasing if Im Out and about.I always get their fries , potatoes and corn without butter just seasoning.I've been going to this location for some time.I will say the fries are good but not as good as they use to be. A little skimp on the seasoning.Other than that everything else is good.A perfect place to get food without spending an arm and a leg.“
“Good food and beverage options based on the New Orleans theme that is Pat O'Brien's heritage. The surprise was the dueling piano bar and the quality of the performers and level of customer participation. An enjoyable time and would happily return. Tip: when ordering the wings, ask for extra sauce as the ramekins are small.“
“I recently dined at this charming restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! What truly stood out were the captivating pictures they provide. The photographer has a knack for capturing the essence of the dining experience in each shot. A definite must-visit!“
“My Haitian husband got a recommendation for this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. He order the stewed chicken, white rice and bean sauce for himself and fried goat and rice and beans for me. Both meals came with fried plantains but we received only pikliz (Haitian hot sauce). The food was delicious! It wasn't salty or overcooked. We will definitely return. I am just hoping they keep up the same standard. I am finding restaurant food all to often is cooked inconsistently.“
