Ordered my first ever Philly cheesesteak sandwich, Wow! Why hadn't I ordered this variety of sandwich ever before in my life? Maybe because I'm from Chicago, but this sandwich at Charlie's is so delicious I'll order cheesesteaks from now on. I hope other restaurants can make a Philly sandwich this good. And that was the best chocolate shake I've had in a very very long time.

Having never been there, and because it's a chain, I was unsure how good their food would be; I'm glad I gave them a try, though. The steak is actual beef - not a meat "product" like the classic frozen "steak" product you'd buy in the frozen food section at the grocery store. They also used a REAL onion, freshly sliced, not those bit pieces you'd get on a burger at some fast food places, and they used FRESH slices of mushrooms instead of canned. Food was hot and fresh and so tasty! Plenty of meat on my sandwich. Very clean (important for restaurants and hotels for us) and comfortable atmosphere. Will be back!!!Kid-friendliness: They spoke to my grandkids very kindly and when one dropped his ice cream cone the replaced it with a smile.
