We stop here after kayaking with hungry tummies. The service is very friendly and the food is out of this world. We park and eat at the picnic tables that are always clean and ready for you. The umbrellas are a perfect shade for eating and conversation while enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. We love the experience and the price isn't bad either. We always feel like we got a good deal for our money.
I come from a land that has sticky finger licking good barbeque. They cook the lathered-on sauce on the meat and there are portions where the sauce is still wet but cooked to the right delicious temperature. That is still my favorite, but Gants doesn't do it that way. I don't think I've ever had a dry rub, but I was impressed with him the first time I had his barbecued ribs! We picked up pulled pork & sauce from this bbq truck- enough for a number of meals because it’s so good! In all the years we have been coming to visit, we have to get our Gants “fix” and our friends even get some to freeze to take back home (up north) for future meals.
