“I've been many times and have always had delicious food. Pizzas, fried chicken sandwich, Philly cheese steak, chicken tacos, but my favorite is the fried Haddock sandwich.Parking: Steph is a great cook and she usually checks up with customers to make sure they are satisfied and happy with their food. I'm enjoying new items on the menu too.“

“I had my reception for my wedding here, and it was fabulous. Making a reservation was easy, we were seated at a reservation time, the food was absolutely delicious, they even kept my wedding cake in the back for us until the end of dinner and brought it out.“

“We arrived at 4:20 to avoid long waiting which happens here; no reservations accepted. Drinks came fast as did our appetizers of blackened grouper bites which were delicious. I tried Triple tail for the first time and I am hooked and can't wait to order again. Other dinners ordered were the mahi tacos and grouper tacos as well as the shrimp burger. Everyone was super satisfied with their meals. The music which started at 5:30 was also outstanding. We usually eat here one a season and it's always one of our top places to go.“

“A good place to have lunch in Matlacha. It can be a little hit or miss with the quality varying between good and very good. If the weather is nice it's fantastic to eat on their outside deck. There's a decent amount of parking at the restaurant but on a busy day it can be a challenge to find a place to park.Update 5 years later (original review 2018): Still an excellent choice for lunch or dinner if you're visiting Matlacha or Pine Island (or just want to drive over from Cape Coral or Ft. Myer). If you've never had mullet before, try their Mullet Sampler Platter. You'll be amazed. It's listed as a "Starter" on the menu but it's enough to be an entree, and every bite of it is delicious: smoked mullet dip, blackened mullet (incredible), and fried mullet.“

“Have you ever seen an unhappy whale? No. Ya know why? They eat deliciously, bask in the sun and are surrounded by their fun little pod. What's not to be happy about! The Whale is the place to come if you're looking to be surrounded by happy, carefree people who are just out here loving life. Both customers and staff...these people are living their best lives. It's the place to come if you're hungry, and even if you didn't know you were...once you get a whiff of the deliciousness wafting through the air, your belly will instantly put you on blast. And you'll be hooked, EVERYTHING is sooooo good. And it's even better with an iced-cold bevvie. Or two. Or seven. The Whale is always my first stop when in Fort Myers. Good thing I don't live there...I might turn into one!“
“I overheard Noah describe the origins of the kava plant and what it meant to the indigenous people, and I was thoroughly impressed. I've heard it before, but he showed the value and the reason we continue the bula tradition. Well done??“
“OMG!! This is the best find in Cape Coral for Natural wines!!! Naiomi was so informative and pleasent! If you know a little about wine or alot you will walk away with the best curated selections of delicious wine!! Great laid back yet classy wine bar!!“

“Food was good but pretty ordinary and pricey for what it was. Didn't have pizza but someone else did and it looked a bit light on cheese. Great spot to hang out and listen to music in the square although the rowdy crowd at the bar were a little loud and made it a challenge to hear the live music.“
“So glad Ugly's is open again after the storm, always enjoy this place and things are looking up with 1 more opening! Food is always good, drinks are great and service is good! Outside is wonderful on the upper deck! Everything looks great! Always a fun time there!“

“I’m from Toronto, here visiting my snowbird parents in Cape Coral. I was so relieved to stumble across this little oasis of art and culture - something I believed Cape Coral to be void of. If you are looking for a great dive bar with friendly people, Ollie’s offers a secret escape from the cultureless sports bars and strip malls that make up this town. The trivia night was a lot of fun.“

“Pizza is the best on the island Dave's docksider is my favorite. They have fish sandwiches, crab cakes , burgers and full meals. Live music too. It's upstairs, and there is no elevator.Parking: They have a small lot that is free and across the street under the bridge is metered parking pay by the hour.“
“A nice, small place with intentionally no signage. It was a discreet speakeasy during COVID I've been told. We went there after playing bingo at Valerie's. It was very low key. Just having enjoyable conversations at the bar with strangers. We had few beers and moved on.Parking: Ample parking.“

“The atmosphere is great, the beer selection was great, the brisket burger (burger toped with brisket and bacon) was great! I got this burger by accident, MIL ended up with my smoked brisket burnt ends melt which was good as well but a little greasy, FIL also had the brisket melt after receiving the ribs which were the worst ribs any of us have every had. He and our kids got ribs, my son wouldn't eat them, and this kid eats everything. The waitress knew the ribs were not good here, and she almost told us not to get them from what she said. They comped the bill and quickly provided different food. My wife had the backend salmon. It was dry, not bad, but not great. The green beans needed more cook time or should have just been served raw. Fries were great! Mac was pretty good as well. Why are they so busy? Long wait, but this place was busy every day we drove buy for a week. Looks like anything burger is outstanding. Mine was. Overall, the wait staff was great.“

“This place is a hidden little gem of beer happiness in downtown Cape Coral. It is owner operated, with a small dedicated staff that is always cheerful and can help you find the right beverage for your taste buds. The selections were in the hundreds and if there is something on the shelf you like they even have an automatic chiller so within 5 minutes or so it's ready for your palette. The taps are rotated frequently and they are always updated on Untappd as well. Darts, video games and lounge couches plus outdoor seating really fleshes out this venue. Stop by sometime, you will be thankful you did!“

“We came here because we needed somewhere for breakfast with our kids and a gluten-free adult, and there aren't many options for that on the island. Bottom line: This place would be 3 stars at home, but gets 4 stars here. They have a kids lunch menu and several kid-friendly breakfast items, but no high chairs and they won't give you crayons or anything like that. We got French toast sticks and sausage for the kids. The omelet normally comes with toasted cibatta, but I skipped it so the meal would be GF. Husband's lobster roll was full, but no sides. All in all portions were not huge, but since no one wants to carry leftovers on the beach, maybe that's best.“

“Sunday night, late.... this is the place to go. Very eclectic spot with some excellent off the wall pizza. Walked in and staff was so cool and inviting. Full bar, great artwork, cool lighting, neon wall scapes. Can't wait to go back and listen to live music. We had pizza, but have to highly recommend the fried pizza dough covered in powdered sugar, and served with the best homemade raspberry jam known to man. Can't wait to try the jam on the peanut butter and jelly pizza. BRING YOUR THIRST AND APPETITES! Thanks Alex!!!!“

“If we could give this place 10 stars just for the customer service, we would! The food and drinks were good, but Dianne really made the whole experience! She was especially great with all the kids at our table, brought us water bottles for the beach as we were leaving, and was all around incredibly attentive and had a wonderful attitude and was so sweet! Excellent service! We will be back just because of this!“

“This is a great spot for gourmands! I’m so glad we found this little gem. The service and food were outstanding! The Brussels sprouts with sriracha and miso are not to be missed, and the wagyu filet just melts in your mouth. They have an extensive cocktail and wine menu, but I chose the Pom mocktail, and they even made me another mocktail that wasn’t on the menu. Highly recommend Gather - we will definitely be back!“

“Wow! Another great experience at Traders. While the prices are a little high, it's all worth it. Many of our party of 8 got the grouper special and raved about it. The bisque and gumbo was also outstanding as was the spinach salad with chicken. The cocktail "pours" were super generous and worth the price.Peter Redpath was singing and having been there before to hear him, it did not disappoint. If you like Buffett, Croce, Simon and Garfunkle and James Taylor type songs you have to come to Traders for Peter. Obviously we will be back.“

“The Cape has two Moose and this is the "little moose" and 2199 is the "big moose". This is our favorite for so many reasons: close to the house, great prices, tremendous staff, pretty damn good food, nice "sports bar" feel, and the outside patio is great. We love this place.“
“CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE -About a 10 minute scenic bicycle ride from where we stay in Florida sits Sanibel’s American Legion Post 123. We’ve passed this place many times, always seeing the “Public Welcome” sign. I wondered what the deal was so I did a quick Internet search. The ‘typical’ review said “Best Cheeseburger on the island”. Really, could this be? On our last day in town Cindy and I took the bike ride, curious to check it out.If you prefer restaurants with a fancy decor and an extensive menu I recommend avoiding this place. You also may want to avoid it if you don’t like dogs. The Post Commander’s dog Abby is a Regular at the bar.If you enjoy hanging with some Veterans and real locals, while eating an incredible Burger with a cold Beer then this place is for you. The 8 ounce Burger was so good that I had to ask: “Is this a special blend of meat?” He said “No, but the local butcher grinds it to our spec, fresh every morning.”This was a great local experience and we’ll be bicycling there again.#CaptainCooksBackyard #AmericanLegion #eatlocal #sanibel #sanibelisland #cheeseburgers“
“Cape Coral elks club had its first dinner since Covid hit understaffed and not enough food had to turn away some of the guests but all in all we had a good time, playing games and visiting with the members. As we ran out of food, we had only one choice for a meal, and that was tuna wraps. They were good, and so was the pot sticker appetizer staff was very friendly and outgoing.“
