“Wow Wow Wow! Absolutely delicious and authentic Italian food! I never order pasta from a pizza joint... I'm way too serious about my pasta. I took a chance on Capo as I'd had a slice of their eggplant pizza and it was fabulous. I orded the rigatoni bolognese, and requested penne as a substitute. It was heaven. The sauce was perfect - the amount of garlic was subtley handled as was the rest of the seasoning. No bitterness and not too sweet either. You can tell the sauce had been cooked awhike and not rushed. The meat was high quality and the coupe de gras was to burrata! A huge helping of cheese right in the middle of the dish. The serving was huge... I only needed it for myself and I got 3 meals from it. Of course as all pasta lovers know it was even better the second day. I had the good fortune to be offered a meatball to try by the owner. I went back the next week for an order of meatballs and tried the gnocchi. Highly highly highly recommend giving this place a try!!!”

Incredibly kind owner and staff as well, this place is a must visit if in the Sarasota area (and beyond!) Once you've tasted Jake's ice cream it's hard to ever eat anything else, he's raising the standards for homemade ice cream with every flavor - although we all have our favorites we've never tried one we didn't like!! (My personal favorite is Salty Turtle)”

“We had a family gathering catered by Dolce Italia and everything was absolutely amazing! We had trays of the Trenne Dolce Italia with sausage, an eggplant dish and homemade pasta with meatballs, which was absolutely delicious. The Mista salad was beautiful, fresh and the perfect compliment to the meal. The process was easy thanks to Matthew’s suggestions and the food was hot, packaged well and ready to be served.”

“I It’s so unexpected to eat at a restaurant that truly blows you away but tonight we experienced just that. We ate at Djonisi’s Restaurant and let me tell you, it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The server gave us his name - Djonisi of course, it’s his family restaurant! And his mother was cooking tonight - we suspected we were in for a treat. Everything, and I mean everything, we had was delicious and cooked with love. The grilled octopus, may be the best we’ve ever had. PeiThe eggplant, feta red pepper, and taramosalata dips, and dolmades, the lamb chops were incredible. And the grill for two! They brought a mini chaffer to the table to keep it warm, perfect. Baklava and custard pie for dessert. We took home almost half the food the portions were so big. The lemon potatos and the tomato rice served with each meal - just proves they know exactly what they are doing. Amazing Greek food, such a nice Greek family, super clean and priced well. We will be back. Once we make some room in our bellies from this feast! And I’m Greek… I’ve been eating this food my whole life so you can trust me, I’m a professional 😂”

“Wow! What an impressive evening at every level. Do not hesitate and book this restaurant for your next food adventure. The moment you walk into this establishment, you know the vibe is cool and these people know their food & spirits. The food is incredible and different than the typical Sarasota restaurant that has the same boring food offerings. I was impressed with the Iberico pork dish and unusually amazingly flavored vegetables and spices that accented the smoky, tender pork. The yuca side dish was similar to a potato but more flavorful and crispier mixed with an addition of corn, pickled cabbage and other vegetables. I haven't found a dish that impressed me more in recent years. The crispy salmon was a "oh wow" moment for my friend, who hails from the Pacific Northwest as do I, where Washingtonians know a thing or two about salmon. This restaurant provides your palate something different and if you're a veteran of dining out constantly, this is a welcomed change from the ordinary. The New York steak included an amazing demi glaze exploding with flavor and had the perfect consistency which can be a challenge to make right but State Street Eatinghouse + Cocktails got it right. I highly recommend the fried Brussell sprouts appetizer as they were a flavor explosion in our mouths. The bacon amplified the sprouts with the accompaniment of the balsamic glaze. My friend's husband and mine, who usually don't like this vegetable, were pleasantly surprised and ate more than the obligatory "try one" bite. State Street Eating House + Cocktails is owned by the same people that introduced us to tapas restaurant "Beso", which I recently tried, and awarded it my "Best Restaurant in Sarasota" award. This restaurant belongs in the "Restaurant Hall of Fame" of Sarasota or even US restaurants. I love it! My waiter, Dana, was super attentive and impressive. His vast knowledge of the drink and food menu was spot-on and his candor and expertise added to the whole evening's experience. What an amazing restaurant! I can't wait to book my next reservation and I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner. Cheers! Dietary restrictions: I appreciate they were mindful of my cow's milk allergy which makes eating out difficult since most dishes have butter and/or cheese. Thank you for helping me feel confident about eating here.”

“The food, atmosphere, and service is great. But I’ll say wholeheartedly, those barstools are the most uncomfortable, terrible things to sit on. It’s actually impossible to sit in them without having to lean on the table to stay in the chair. Please get different barstools. Please. Extra pretty please. Seriously it was a workout just to sit in them and not slide out immediately.”

“We had dinner at Siegfried's Restaurant on Feb. 26th - our third meal there and we always leave with big smiles on our faces. The schnitzel and sauerbraten are both excellent, as are the sides and desserts. The staff is warm and engaging and we were so happy to meet and speak with the chef/owner. The restaurant is in one of the cozy-looking cottages on Fruitville Rd and is the perfect setting for this authentic German restaurant. Be sure you make a reservation and be prepared to enjoy a fantastic German meal!”

“Ive wanted to try this for some time now. Finally made it happen and i have no regrets. We went after lunch. It was very clean and quiet. Service was pleasant and we had three different people check on us throughout our experience. The food was delicious. We were gifted an appetizer sample. She said it was their way of getting customers to try something new. My 18 year old is extremely picky and opinionated. She raved the entire time and was sending pictures to her friends. We will be visiting often ❤️”

I called them this morning in search of my credit card that I was frantically looking for. I believe it was the owner who answered, and even though they were closed at that time, volunteered himself to go the restaurant to see if my card was there. He called me within a half hour that it was there. He waited until I got there to give me the card. He was an absolute gem to do this of his own accord. I found her to be very kind, professional, detail-oriented, and extremely helpful. Her recommendations were excellent, and her honesty was appreciated. The fact that she understood my needs, offered feedback, and always had a get-it-done attitude, was greatly appreciated. Mattison's is extremely lucky to have her. Not only was Kourtney a joy to work with, but Mattison's food was amazing, too! During our tasting, we were blown away by how good the food was (appetizers, salad, entrees, sides, you name it). We couldn't stop talking about how excited we were to eat such a wonderful meal. At the wedding, it was no different, everything was just as great as we remembered! The wait staff and bartenders were extremely kind and willing to make sure my husband and I, as well as our families and guests, were taken care of. We highly recommend them! To relive our wonderful memories, my husband and I look forward to visiting Mattison's again soon. “Amazing sundown experience. Started my afternoon at the Tiki bar which was a good call. They were short staffed and helping with orders on the beach. Though Solo, it was a semi quiet bar family and children friendly. Shout out to (Joe) who attended to me and was very attentive. After my meal I went to lounge. Beach waiters were attentive as well i.e water bucket and umbrella etc. I felt well attended to though I did not require much. I want to applaud management towards the etiquette and team spirit the men and women had. I could hear many complaints of orders being skipped or taking too long, yet felt the crew did thier best by compensating in other area's. I do have to say to update the beach lounge chairs they are very uncomfortable.”

“I came into this Wawa tonight and went to restroom. It was so clean. Everything in the bathroom spotless! Then I looked around the store waiting for my food and Spotless! The entire store, and this was at 10:30 on a Friday night. Not at some odd hour. I had all the confidence that my food order would be handled well based on the bathrooms and inside of store alone. Chris, the manager was in tonight and looks like he runs a tight ship as we would say. The employees I interacted with were nice. Chris was on the floor sticking and really appreciated the acknowledgement. I saw he really takes pride in his role as manager and as clean as the store was I know he cares! This is a WAWA I will visit regularly based on this one visit alone. Good job Chris! He really is on top of keeping that store very clean.”

Mind you, our expectations are high because we've become accustomed to over the top Indian flavors and varieties. Since here we've tried 3 places. One was terrible the other 2 were ok. Today, we found our new go to spot for Indian on Fruitville and Honoree called Royal Peacock. Food fresh, great taste and aroma, impeccable service, not over the top pricing and a clean pleasant atmosphere. We had Palak Panere mild and chicken Vindaloo spicy, both white and saffron rice, along with butter nane. Don't waste your time at the others this is the real stuff. JK”

“I gave been to playa bowl over 10 times and my experience today was not good. The staff today was not very welcoming. If the owners were there today when I went they sure were not friendly. I told the cashier no coconuts and they put some in, then she says you want a lid and I said well yea, it’s to go. She didn’t even put them in a bag. I always buy the Nutella one and I always buy 2. All the other times I had no problems great staff and friendly.”

The restaurant hall is solemn and elegant, the waiters are friendly and enthusiastic, our seats are in the corner, and we didn’t see a rack to hang windbreakers in the restaurant, so we put them on the seats next to us…

We ordered the T-bone and lobster platter, my family member said there might be a mix up, his T-bone was too cooked and he didn't want to eat it, and my steak on the lobster platter was just right...

He didn't want to complain, that wasn't his style, he didn't want to eat and take away...

“We had dinner at Siegfried's Restaurant on Feb. 26th - our third meal there and we always leave with big smiles on our faces. The schnitzel and sauerbraten are both excellent, as are the sides and desserts. The staff is warm and engaging and we were so happy to meet and speak with the chef/owner. The restaurant is in one of the cozy-looking cottages on Fruitville Rd and is the perfect setting for this authentic German restaurant. Be sure you make a reservation and be prepared to enjoy a fantastic German meal!”

The sauce was perfect - the amount of garlic was subtley handled as was the rest of the seasoning. No bitterness and not too sweet either. You can tell the sauce had been cooked awhike and not rushed. The meat was high quality and the coupe de gras was to burrata! A huge helping of cheese right in the middle of the dish. The serving was huge... I only needed it for myself and I got 3 meals from it. Of course as all pasta lovers know it was even better the second day. I had the good fortune to be offered a meatball to try by the owner. I went back the next week for an order of meatballs and tried the gnocchi. Highly highly highly recommend giving this place a try!!!”

My husband’s ribeye was tender, tasty and served rare, just as he requested. The rest of us had Chilean sea bass, which was so delicious! The sides were also good. I don’t eat dairy and it was no problem to alter dishes for me. The ambiance was perfect and for us, dining at Hyde Park is more than a meal out - it’s an experience! Highly recommend!”
