Service was very poor, and we were the only customers! The food wasn't good (we are from Europe btw) and took over 30 minutes to arrive. And the staff was smoking cigarettes at the front door, which we had to walk through, in order to leave. It was a disaster. We won't be returning.

My mom and I are Hungarian, my boyfriend is American and we celebrated my mom's birthday at Tokaj. The food was very phenomenal, authentic and good for all taste buds. The atmosphere was very intimate and cozy! They even had a live violinist playing really nice romantic songs which we loved. Staff was super nice and friendly. The Owner came to check on us if we were happy with our meal and we had some great conversations as well. We had an amazing time. Definitely going back there again. We HIGHLY recommend this Hungarian restaurant to everyone. 5 STARS! Thank you

The absolute best meal in Sarasota. Tons of savory flavors. The baby kale salad with chickpeas was a huge surprise. Warm creamy juxtaposed with cool & crispy. It had me at the first bite. We had the pork with goose liver and the stuffed cabbage. The Hungarian stuffed cabbage brings a traditional meal to a surreal experience. In a rich divine sauce.Go,go go & and enjoy a meal by a real artist in the kitchen.

A nice surprise to experience authentic Hungarian food in Sarasota. Delicious! Only disappointment is they didn’t have the Gundel Crepes. We will have to go back for them in the near future. The pics tell it all!
We are from the Poconos visiting my son and daughter-in-law who’s grandparents live in Sarasota. We decided to come to this restaurant because I’m from Hungary and wanted my family to experience Hungarian food. Atmosphere was beautiful. The staff was very friendly. The Chef/owner, Tamas, came to our table and we shared stories about our Hungarian background. Food was absolutely phenomenal!!!! The Fish Paprika’s was the best I’ve ever had!! All of our meals were excellent!! Highly recommend this restaurant. 5+ Stars!
