1st course. Tuna tartar. I said I don't want raw fish. Could I please substitute something. After checking, she asked if white fish would be OK?? I asked if it would be cooked. She said yes. Not only was it raw, but it had scallions. I had specifically asked her to make sure no onions on my salad!

gratuity??? Our bill was $600.

“We had the most amazing dinner at South of the Seven in the Florida Keys last night 🌴✨ Chef Paul and his wife Kris have been dear family friends for years, and it’s always so special to visit them and enjoy their incredible hospitality. Although we miss them in Safety Harbor, it's always such a treat to visit them here in Sugarloaf💕 The food was, as always, outstanding— our boys devoured the tomahawk steak and chocolate cake 😍 and we loved every bite of our meals. (My fav is the grouper collars in Buffalo sauce! Mitchel got his long awaited duck wings) It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a place to make memories. Something we enjoy each year 🥰 If you’re ever in the Keys, this gem is a must-visit! Thank you, Chef, for another unforgettable evening. 💙”

“Passed this place every time we frequented Key West, finally stopped last night. GREAT EXPERIENCE! From the eclectic menu that has virtually something for everyone to the insanely fresh seafood, this is a must do if passing through Cudjoe Key (<30 mins from Key West). Our meal began with joining the waitlist online from the comfort of our vacation home. Upon arriving to a packed lot, we were thrilled that we had a short wait due to the online waitlist. Next, the service. The bartender was extremely vigilant as we waited for our table and kept us well hydrated. Beer, wine, and full bar are a plus. Wine list was VERY good with many higher end half bottles, a joy when only one person drinks wine. Craft cocktails on the menu looked amazing. Our server, Gabby, is a fabulous asset to this place. Knowledgeable about the menu, very attentive to our needs (I drink a lot of water-she kept me full!), and just a pleasant server who represents this establishment very well. The food was hands down some of the best we’ve had in the keys. The tuna bowl was fresh, prepared perfectly and paired with fresh ingredients. The swordfish was so fresh that the taste was perfection. The key lime pie was not to be missed!!! Do yourself a favor and plan a trip to this unique place. The food, the people, and the drinks are each worth the trip!!!”

“Was a cute little spot with a different flare on American island food. We brought our fresh caught lobster in to have with our breakfast and they were willing to cook them for us. Although we weren’t impressed with the way our lobster turned out, oddly squishy with a sour flavor. We will absolutely come back to enjoy other dishes on our next trip!”

They have 1/2 dozen or 1 dozen. Pouder sugar, cinnamon sugar, or regular. This place has been around for a very long time and the donuts are always amazing.”
