“It's one of our favorite places. We drive 2 hours to get the no.1 burger in the state. The OKeefes Burger! Best in the State. Start out with the mushrooms, also yummy. The sweet tea is right on point. We love the atmosphere of the place. The staff are very pleasant. We always have the best experience. We highly recommend Okeefes!“
“I like this place. It’s got a cool vibe. But admittedly, the whole food thing is confusing. We went next door to get food and beer; the more restaurant side. Folks there said they only had a few beers and sent us to the bar spot and said they were owned by the same people and we could just order there and have more beer options. Awesome. So went there. I ordered and started a tab. Ordered beer and food. No prob. My friend ordered beer and food and started a separate tab. Easy. Food took a while but it was fine, there were great beer options. Went to close out and I got a beer check. Then they gave me a food check separate where they’d charged me multiple tabs of food. I said, “hey, you put the whole tab on my card,” and the server responded with, “Well, you didn’t tell me you wanted them separated.” Not sure how I would even know to ask that? Anyway, it turned into a hassle that required getting a manager from next door to figure it out. All of that is fine, it worked out. But it *might* be useful to tell people when they order food that it is a whole separate tab and also to track tabs in the system. Or put a sign up. I’d have asked if I’d known.Overall a cool spot but making things a little more seamless goes a long way.“
“Don't let the previous business location fool you. New owners', new business (this is not Buster Tubbs!)Small menu, but very good food. My wife had the sampler appetizers, and I had the open-faced sandwich with 2 sides.We were both happy with our meals and would have them again. The LDC has live music and a full bar (they will have food trucks for a varied flux of change, to the experience, and to give their kitchen staff an occasional break). They also have regular produce trucks with attached appetizer specials. I am happy to support local and hope this establishment is able to thrive (with dependable hours of operation) where Buster Tubbs had repeatedly failed.“
“We were seated right away, you can eat inside or outside on the covered area. Chips, salsa and cheese dip were delicious. I had the unwrapped California burrito, it was a layered salad, rice beans shredded chicken, there was a lot going on with this. My boyfriend had the enchiladas and the meal was also delicious. Our server was very nice.“
“I go to kaluas multiple times a month due to working near by. Fantastic service, after only my 2nd time, they treated me as a regular. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced. The food is especially good when Gary is in the kitchen. I always get the buffalo chicken sandwich but all the entrees that get brought out around me also look fantastic when garys cooking. 10/10 would recommend coming here by car or boat.“
“First time here. Not a big fan of Mexican food, but the food was excellent, our waitress was very helpful. I will be going back.Parking: Plenty of parking, only issue was the leafs on the ground were very slippery. They needed to be cleared.“
“Rabbit for Easter!? And those hot cross buns, woo hoo hoo doot, doot, dooo! lol. I give them something like a five for nice elevated dining with delicious fancy foods and impressive, exemplary hospitality on a level you don't see often enough anymore, in a beautifully curated arty modern space. I don't mind throwing good money down on food and an experience worthy of it and 1921 delivered, mostly. Was looking forward to the deviled duck eggs as shown on the online "example" menu but they didn't have them on the day. Shoot. And while I realize this is supposed to be an experience, we waited well over an hour for our mains to come out, long after starters and cocktails ran out, and I was about done, restless, and feeling full. So, whatever was special with the mains was sort of lost; at least on me. Our bill was also messed up, they double charged us, and took even more time still, to fix.“
“Hidden gem! Located upstairs at Mt Dora Marketplace Building 1, this cocktail lounge has a classy lounge ambiance. The knowledge and execution of their cocktail drinks are on point…perfect balance is achieved. All the bartenders are knowledgeable. The owner, Dakota, cares about mixology and it shows. I can’t wait to come back here.“
“Review from first time visit. Party of 3. Everyone's food was great, other 2 ordered the meatloaf and a burger. Said was great. I ordered the gator bites and Mahi Mahi melt minus the cheese. First time having gator and I really liked it! Kinda a cross between chicken and fish taste haha but good! Mahi sandwich was pretty good as well but kinda wish it was a gator sandwich after those bites ?“
“The pizza we ordered was so good and the staff was super friendly even though our waitress doubled as the bartender since we were seated in the bar area. She was awesome! The manager had to come over since the cook misread our pizza order and treated us with cocktails. It was one pie that was halved with different menu specials... but no worries, we were fine. It was all so delicious. We really enjoyed our first time in Mt. Dora.“

Whether it was the ambiance, hospitality, wide variety of dishes or the quality of our selections, there isn't anything I could find lacking!My wife and I first, ordered the salsa, queso and guacamole trio, then ordered the same entrèe (Ribeye steak with rice, beans and a perfectly sauteed cactus. (YES, you read that correctly, CACTUS!))The entire meal was a real treat at the end of a long day, and so much so, we are already planning our next visit!“
“What a nice place! We come to Mount Dora a few times a year to relax and enjoy the lake… We are always looking for new spots and this is going to be one of our favorites from now on! The ladies at the counter are so friendly. They made some little changes in what we ordered so it could be perfect for us. Coffee was amazing and food was delicious. “We went here with our siblings that live in Florida. They recommended this place as one of their favorite locations. It's different because you're in what appears to be a submarine and damn does it feel like it as well. You are so damn tight in this place and it's small.We sat down and got waited on immediately. I wasn't in a beer mood and ordered some wine instead. The bartender was down to earth. She was the best of the bartenders out there. We did selfies when my wife went to the bathroom and she was such a good sport because she got involved in the pics.Ran into my siblings friends and we got to talking about wine and beer. Good location, good place to come and have drinks. Love this place. Good Stop.“
