“Jeremy the host was very welcoming and explained the difference between the dining room upstairs and the tavern/bar downstairs. This was our first visit and he suggested upstairs. We were sat at a lovely table outside overlooking the water. Our waitress Becky was very attentive professional and pleasant. The food did take longer than expected but overall the quality was very good.“

The highlight is AnnMarie--always smiling, such positivity. “It was an interesting place, a full-on sports bar, but yet it had two menus. Thai and Standard American. My wife and I both ate Thai food on this, our first visit. We both found the food very authentic and tasty. I do have to say I thought it was a little pricey, but I will still go back again. “Waited at least 20 minutes for a table outside. They were crowded as usual. Waited 5 minues for Jennifer to bring us coffee and water. She said she'd be right back for order. 15 minutes later others were seated, and actually served. Our waitress rook the order fir a couple who had just been seated and then took ours. I complained to the hostess who took off our coffees. The waitress apologized for serving the other couple first. She didn't understand that we had waited an additional 20 minutes to PLACE our order. I never complain, I've been wait staff. The wait staff there has always been fabulous until today. She is clueless.“

“What an unexpected delight! Delicious fish and loved that they had malt vinegar with it! A little disappointed they served steak fries instead of English chips but everything was excellent. Wish we had more nights to try some of the other English dishes. The Ole Smoky Old fashioned was also superb. And what a fun way to present with the burnt cedar. Better than our Wisconsin old fashioned. ?. We will definitely return next winter.“

“TJ Carneys always is a fun time. They have great bands that play and on any given day there is a mixed crowd. We usually go at night (after 10) since this location is one of the few places that serve a full liquor bar in Venice Ave. Service is great, food is great. Definitely recommend checking it out“

She is top notch and is very attentive, fun and amazing! The interactions we have with other staff on a regular basis including Kathy (Bar) and Victoria S. (Server) are always friendly and make us feel very welcome. Marcell (Proprietor) is also fantastic and always makes us feel like valued customers! “Food is good, but they have no clue how to make Piccata. Who in the world puts a ton of mushrooms on piccata. It's lemon, garlic, and capers. The pasta is good. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. You can go in there with 2 people and it takes you 40 minutes to get bread and order and no, it's not because it's slammed busy.“

“It was busy this night, and that's actually something I like, usually, as the kitchen, and wait staff are hopping, less mistakes. As a resteraunt worker of 10+ years, I can "read" any resteraunt. This particular evening was not what I expected. I could tell there were a few new trainees. Our waiter must have been having a bad moment. To walk up to ANY table that just ordered an appetizer and say "are you guys gonna order anything else or what?"...?...Wow. And...I guess maybe a new guy in the kitchen doesn't know the difference between salsa and marinara sauce, (Some things just aren't meant for salsa), and that's okay too. I get it, rough night. I just had laughed out loud, however, when hearing every wait person stand there and complain about No cups, No knives, No forks...?? Yup. Been there! Poor dish pit person! They were super slow, super new, super swamped, or all the above..?In my day, we'd go help them, not slam them like that. (I feel as if a certain generation has not been taught Work Ethics.) Anyways. It is what it is, and my Oriental Salad was really good. **⚠️ Tip your server cash ⚠️**?They now have Tips added to paychecks and have to pay taxes on Tips if put on credit cards? (Which is VERY WRONG, By the way)And no, I rarely tip less for bad performance, everyone has bad days, and we are all Human, and make mistakes. Remember That. ?“
