I've never been to Americus, GA before and this BBQ place came up as an option. It's a small place with about 4-5 tables, but it's a classic setting inside. There is a ton more parking spots then there are tables and when I pulled up the parking lot was full. This usually means the food is amazing and that they have a big following, which is seems like they do. I only wanted meat and no carbs so I got 1/2 lb of pulled pork, which was pretty tasty. For what I paid I cannot be disappointed. Not true smoked BBQ but very affordable. Their coleslaw and sweet tea was the highlight of my meal. You can judge a BBQ place by their baked beans and if they add any extras that make you think...no extras to be found in the baked beans. Would eat here again, would not drag my friends here.

I drove from Chattanooga once a month to attend graduate classes at the local university! I ate here for lunch and it was delicious!! It is hard to find good barbecue in North GA. I had the chicken plate with baked beans and okra!! Their Brunswick stew was also AMAZING!!
