We went to Sheppard House after looking at boats and campers at Factory Direct RV. What a treat! We walked in the door and learned we were to help ourself to the buffet. I chose meatloaf, mac and cheese and tomaotes with okra. Also, I chose cornbread. My husband had fried chicken and meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy and greens. We had sweet tea which was real good. The locals all knew each other and we felt very welcome.
The food was excellent good southern cooking without the over-salting. A home-style restaurant where you are made to feel welcome. This restaurant does not accept cards, cash, or checks only.Vegetarian options: There were 6 vegetables available and they were good. I got a vegetable plate.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp making this restaurant handicap accessible.
