Hattie B's Hot Chicken in Atlanta East offers Nashville-style hot chicken at reasonable prices, with a meal for two coming in at around $25. The restaurant is known for its large white and tenders, and customers recommend trying the spicy chicken with waffles on Sundays for a sweet and spicy combination. The 1/2 Bird meal is a popular choice, known for its perfect cooking, moisture, and good heat. The black-eyed pea salad and southern greens are considered good sides, while the fried pickles, pimento mac and cheese, and potato salad have been described as less successful. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is enjoyable. Floats come with a souvenir cup.
The Mild wings are juicy with the perfect crunch and a spicy kick, while the grits are tasty though not too thick. The team is welcoming and accommodating, even offering samples of the fiery "Shut the Cluck Up" spicy chicken tenders, with ice cream as a reward for those who try it. The medium chicken sandwich is praised as the best ever, with the perfect amount of spice and taste. Service is extremely great, making every visit a 10/10 experience.
