This is a true craft cocktail establishment. We ordered two of their specialty drinks and both were exceptional. Additionally, we spoke to the bartender a bit and were impressed with her depth of knowledge as it relates to mixology. The service was generally friendly and attentive, but was slow towards the end when we were ready to go, which is what resulted in a one star deduction. If you like interesting drinks then this should be on your agenda.

I found Midcity Cafe from a Google search of bars near my hotel. I was pleased to find that it was literally right next to the Renaissance. Midcity was a pretty cool bar. The place was small but that just attributed to its intimacy. The interior gave me a Latin vibe. There wasn't a DJ at the time, but I suspect that they have resident DJs during the week.
