I got in touch with Pokeworks Corporate and they were deeply apologetic about the experience. I really appreciated that. They also offered me a credit for the meal which is what I’d hoped the manager would have considered.

For these reasons, I’m updating this to five stars across the board. I appreciate when a company truly follows through on making things right.

If you’re ordering anything with shrimp and upon physical visual inspection, you realize that the shrimp sticks to the tongs or is unusually mushy? Do yourself a favor and order something different.

Ruined my evening with bad shrimp and even worse customer service.

When the associate was putting the shrimp in the bowl, I noticed how unusually mushy and sticky it was. Her response to me was “oh, I grabbed it too hard. That’s why.“

Cue me 10 minutes later, biting into what I thought was regular shrimp and spitting it out right after. It was watery, mushy and had no flavor.
I was genuinely concerned that the shrimp was not safe to eat.

So I made my way back to the store to let them know. I asked for a refund because I did not trust them remaking my meal with whatever shrimp they currently have that day.

The associate I spoke to texted the manager, and her response was “the issue has been acknowledged, but because you walked out with your food, there is no refund and no remake.”

You acknowledge that your shrimp is not in good condition, but you’re not going to make it right and I’m out of money and out of dinner.“

“Let’s talk about EAV That & Sushi real quick. I’ve never really been a Thai food eater. I’ll eat it if that’s what the majority wants but I’ve never been the one to have to have it. Baby listen, EAV That & Sushi has me in a choke hold as the food is AMAZNG!!!! We were in the area as Shaunie said it is one of her favorite places to go, as such, we went. Walking in, the ambiance is really low key and has a great feel to it. It’s perfect for friends, dates, or even alone. After we walked in we were able to be seated immediately. Continuing to take in the ambiance, the feel was so chill. There was a game on each television and the music was playing in the background. Yep, I’m here for all of this. Upon taking our seats, I ordered a sweet tea and began to scroll the menu. Taking a moment to take in the menu as there are an abundance of options, I decided on the Spring Rolls as an Appetizer and Pad Thai as my Main Course. Clearly I played it safe. 😂😂😂 From seating us to taking out drink and food orders, our waiter was super nice. He was professional, very educated on the menu offerings and kept a smile the entire time. Not to mention, we weren’t his only table yet he was on top of his game and provided top tier service. Once my food came I was immediately drawn into the aroma. The Thai Spices mixed with the Sweet smells of the sauce made me extra happy inside. LoL. The Spring Rolls were good. They were crunchy loo Upon first bite I almost melted. Whew! I have NEVER in all my years had a Pad Thai this amazing. I’m talking about perfectly cooked noodles. Optimum noodle to meat to sauce ratio. And best of all, the peanuts were coated in the sauce and not only acted as the extra layer of texture, but their flavor profile was enhanced which allowed the dish to have a multi-flavor blend of sweet, salty, and nutty. Omggggggg. I want moreeeeeeeeee. The dish arrived hot and was very fresh. This wasn’t no quick boil or reheated dish, no. This was freshly made when I ordered it and whoever the chef was is amazing at their job. Dear Chef, your ability to cook Pad Thai is beyond normal. Your supernatural flavor elevated dish was exciting, mouth pleasing, and has made me eager to return to EAV That & Sushi. If you’re in the area and ready to eat, you can not go wrong with EAV That & Sushi.“

“Fantastic sushi! I have only tried two rolls, miso soup, and gyoza here when I visited for the first time. Everything I tried is very flavorful without being overly seasoned. A difficult balance to strike, and they did it very well. The service was quick and polite. Great experience. Will definitely return.“

“Amazing sushi! I was nearby for a conference and discovered this place at the food hall in Colony Square. I wasn’t incredibly hungry and ordered the Sashimi sampler and miso soup. Both great! The sashimi sampler is a great choice when you can’t decide between which fish to order. My go-tos are yellowtail and tuna but man, the salmon was delicious and better than most places I’ve ordered salmon from. All the fish I had was super fresh! The staff was super friendly! Highly recommend this place!“

Huge variety on their menu - plenty for the non-sushi lover too. But come for the special rolls...they are some of the most creative you'll see anywhere!“

“As my friend and I walked in, we were immediately greeted by Dominick and we were seated in a very plush chair. We could see the entire room from where we were seated. The patrons were of all ages (no children). The ambience is of modern flare compared to the old world Japanese style and house music vibes gave the restaurant superb energy. We had the Nice Pear and Kinjo cocktails. They were beautifully executed and not too sweet. A very nice combination of flavors and herbs. We shared the Shrimp Tempura which was lightly breaded (yay!) We also had the Uni and the Spicy Tuna roll, all filled with scrumptious flavors and well presented. To top this off, we ate the Lady M cake and it was to die for. Very light, crisp, and melts in your mouth. Throughout the evening, Dominick was very attentive and made sure our visit was an outstanding one. “My fellow traveler and I stopped by on our way home to Virginia. It was a long day of travel, delayed flights, we just wanted to sit down and chill. We didn’t expect much out of an airport restaurant… But we were both blown away. Our server, Tarvis, was charming, professional, knowledgeable, and exceptional. The BLT with bacon jam, and the rice pudding with cinnamon and peaches was superb. (I could’ve eaten a whole jar of the bacon jam.) “Pokeworks is my favorite place to get poke in Atlanta. Their ingredients are always fresh and large portioned. My only complaints are that sometimes the mobile orders get mixed up (i've gotten other people's poke bowl and missed items a few times), and the straw for the bubble tea is not large enough for the bubbles. Hopefully it's something that can be worked on! But overall i love this place and come here every week.“

“We have been coming for years and it seems like it keeps getting better! WOW we just had a FEAST for under $100 (with tip). This place is absolutely a hidden gem in Brookhaven. Not pretentious, family run. Feels like an affordable omakase. Get the Yoshino All the way roll!“

The spicy bluefin tuna rolls were apparently good as well. The gyoza was slightly better than the sushi however, although marginally. We also had the edamame. I would highly recommend this restaurant!“

“Food was great but service was very slow. Waiter was pleasant but inefficient. Several drinks not correct. Had to ask more than once for bread refills. When credit card was given to pay the bill, the bill came to the table but the credit card was not included although it was eventually returned. This is contrary to our previous experience at this restaurant.“

“This is probably the best sushi spot around Atlanta. The sushi is so reasonably priced with it being half off dine in 7 days a week, but the quality of the sushi is incredible. I've eaten at very overpriced places with much worse quality.

The staff is always kind and quick and there's always open seating. I've eaten here almost once a week for the past couple years and probably still will for a long time. I wouldn't recommend any other place.“

Got the shawarma plate. It came with two of my favorites as sides, corn, and pickles. The first thing I did is put a little of the sauce on the pita bread and it was so good so I put some of the sauce on the shawarma and I thought that was really good too... Until I tried the shawarma without the sauce. It was so flavorful and tender, it didn't need the sauce. I can't wait to go back for lunch tomorrow.“

They also have Ramyeon machine for korean ramen.“
