“The Little (Velvet) Hippo didn't disappoint! I really enjoy Poor Hendrix (their sister restaurant in East Lake) so i had to stop by. It's a casually elevated sandwich shop and cocktail bar with counter service only. The staff is kind, the food is delicious and the drinks were great. i enjoyed the mezcal and tequila cocktail "the love of the larry" and would come back again and again for their chicken caesar sandwich. Such a great spot for elevated but casual dining. i shared a full review on my TikTok (bswankk) and Instagram ( bswank_)”

“It’s a nice and a new place . The ambience was somewhat retro and modern at the same time. The serving size of drinks is big and everything was great. I went there with family and had Matcha latte, their boba tea with hibiscus in it and a blueberry cucumber sparkling drink and everything was great. Not very crowded and good place to chill and talk.”

“Menu amazing. Only had a beef arepa. Was pretty good, but was not given what I ordered. After eating and thinking it wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting, I overheard someone asking about the Thai sauce and remembered my Arepa was supposed to have it. I asked the mature lady that appeared to be perhaps managing the front? if they normally put it on the Arepa or on the side. She said we don't put it on any more. I said but that is why I ordered it. She said you could have asked for it! I said they should let people know, she said instead of changing all our menus they can just get it on the side if they ask for it. No apologies. Justifications only. All the other staff were wonderful so don't let that bother you too much. Maybe ask if everything is correct on your choic s tho!Then, I left my purse on the chair. Called back and nice young person assure me they had it. Came to claim it, another server went back to look for it behind counter and in back. The aforementioned lady pointed to the shelf in a window...outside the counter, in the area people can hang out! Just sitting there out in the open for anyone to open or take! So I just had to share. SMH. I still have 4 stars because everyone else was great. But, if an item is different than the menu, you tell the customer. EVERY SINGLE TIME. No excuses.”

“I have always passed this place and said I needed to try it out. I had avocado toast and Americano coffee.Avocado toast was delicious. I liked the pickled onions on top that gave it a nice flavor.Americano coffee had great flavor to it.Cool little spot to chill or get to go.”

“Had a late lunch with friends this afternoon and had a stellar experience! Food is fresh and tasty and our server was a rockstar. She ran at least a 6 table section while taking care of a full bar as well. While it was clear she was busy, service was spot on and we never wanted for anything! “This is our go to for pizza but if you want a Greek salad then this is the place to be. Simple, fresh and oh so good. We always get the meat lovers. The sausage is SUPER good- the flavor is so bold!~ They're meatball sub is yummy. I was thoroughly impressed with the flavor. Everyone is always so courteous and the place is really clean. Bathrooms are spotless.”

“We celebrated my husband's birthday last night and it could not have gone smoother! Hayden was incredibly helpful and easy to work with before we showed up, letting us bring in food as well as use the chef on site. The spacious inside was perfect for everyone in our group (about 35 people) to mill about and listen to the live music (so rare at a brewery!). The staff was incredibly kind and helpful! They were knowledgeable and informative about all their options. The varieties of beers meant there was something for everyone and SO many of our friends were impressed with the choice of venue (causal and a local brewery vibe... the backdrop is all their brewing hard work, it's cool!). It was pouring and cold out, but it didn't dampen the mood. It would be great during a nice day or even to come back and grab a few with some friends. Highly recommend!!! Thanks for helping make some great memories!”

“Nice spot with some good food and beer. Appetizers are all really good. Pretzel bites with cheese, buffalo cauliflower, and mushroom quesadilla were winners. Fish and chips is solid. I got Shepherd's Pie and it had a ton of grease on the top. I scooped off 5-6 large spoonfulls, which is excessive IMO. The server took it back and I thought I was going to get a fresh one, but when it came back I could see the spoon marks where I spooned off the oil. He confirmed it was the same dish but he just had the kitchen drain some of the oil. Odd, but whatever. They've had beignets as a special dessert both times I've been there and they are great. Not expected at a English/Irish pub, but they do them right.Service is friendly, vibe is nice. I do still miss Palookaville though!Parking: There's a lot connected to the pub with parking reserved for patrons. I've never had an issue finding a spot there.”

“As always, La Grotta remains one of the best Italian restaurants around. The atmosphere is classy, so please dress accordingly, as people go for both the atmosphere as well as the food/vino. The super tuscan vino is great if you are looking for a new wine to try, you can order a glass or the bottle (I recommend bottle if there are 3+ in your party it ends up being cheaper than individual glasses). The sacchetti as well as the pappardelle are both wonderful dishes. The gnocchi is cooked perfectly if you are a gnocchi fan.”

“Dinner on a Tuesday night at the Kimball house was wonderful. Loved the decor inside and overall ambience. My party enjoyed everything we ordered especially the entrees, they were all excellent and difficult to pick a favorite between the tenderloin, duck and snapper. The grilled oysters were a little different than the typical Parmesan garlic but they were amazing as well. I think the weakest dish for me was the fried shrimp. The pieces were small and seemed like a lot of breading. We didn't order dessert here and elected to walk over to butter & cream for dessert. Would definitely come back for dinner again!”

“Sunday Brunch was really good. Chicken was seasoned well and waffles were light and fluffy! Owner had an awesome spirit about her. Music and atmosphere was on point. Our waitress was a swertheart,, I forgot her name but she had a boot on her foot! My son loved his rasta pasta... and he hates everything!!!!”
