“In all fairness the food is very salty, (all that salt is not needed) however, the flavors were good and the food was fresh. The young fellow was friendly and the restaurant was clean. (I like clean! Especially when it comes to my food!) I did spend roughly $5-$7 more than I usually do on this type of food but I didn't have to cook tonight so I'll live. Lighten up on the salt and the reviews should bounce back in no time.Vegetarian options: Salty but tasty and available“

“This was my first time going here. I ordered a small oxtail. They had a good taste but they were a little to sweet for me. Also there was way too much gravy on my plate to where it covered the cabbage. Not just the cabbage seen in the picture but there was cabbage in one of the small sections of the container as well. It didn’t come with the plantain as the menu showed so I’m unsure if you have to request them to be added to your plate. If I return, I would order again but tell them to but the gravy to the side or ask the to put light gravy on it.“

“Had a taste for something great , did a google search and stumbled upon this gem. I usually get a veggie plate when I visit Jamaican restaurants but I stepped outside my comfort zone and tried the oxtail plate and I was NOT disappointed. The food was amazing and flavorful and the service was nothing short of amazing . I was greeted with a smile and the owner was very pleasant . I’d definitely be back and would recommend them to those looking for excellent Jamaican food in the Riverdale Area.“

“Just stopped by my favorite spot in Morrow. I always get the jerk salmon but asked if I can get the salmon done like the coconut curried Chickpea and they said sure. I was not disappointed!!! I asked for no rice and when I opened the box the smell was everything. I highly recommend you try their coconut curried salmon.“

“I've been going here for about a year and get the jerk dinner every time. It's always delicious and consistent! The jerk sauce is a blend of sweet bbq sauce with mild spice jerk seasoning instead of the traditional jerk rub but it's delicious! The chicken is always tender and perfectly cooked. The cabbage is crispy and has fresh vegetables! And the people are nice.“

“I ordered here once a few years back and couldn’t remember if I enjoyed it so I stopped by again yesterday. I ordered a small jerk chicken, I wanted a beef patty but they were out. The jerk plate was good, food was fresh, I asked for just rice and meat but they gave me cabbage and plantain as well (it was tasty but I didn’t eat cause I didn’t want it). The chicken and rice & peas were so good; I wish they gave a little more rice, but they meat was plentiful. Customer service wasn’t friendly but they weren’t disrespectful or rude to me, and although there was a bit of a crowd as I came in, I was served quickly and out the door. Oh just a heads up, it’s 27 cent for extra jerk sauce (for anyone who likes a lot of sauce for their meat). Will be returning for the food for sure.“

“We went here on a whim today and I had to write a review as SOON as we got done eating. This was our first time here and never heard of it so wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s very mom and pop but it had a nice and simple vibe when you get inside. There were two women working when I went in and they made sure to speak. Not overly friendly but polite. There wasn’t a menu anywhere which made knowing what I wanted difficult, but I just figured I could order two plates. The first one I got was a medium curry chicken plate with rice and peas and cabbage. The second was a small jerk chicken with rice and peas and mac and cheese. There was confusion when I went to pay because I told the other lady what I ordered but the first lady making my plate gave me a medium jerk chicken meal and not a small. I was fine with them just adjusting the portion of food so as to not give me more than I was paying for, but it looked like that was too complicated and she just gave me the food without the extra cost. She did seem a little frustrated but I appreciated the customer service. I felt bad about the misunderstanding, so made sure to leave a tip. Because there were no menus anywhere I was a little thrown when I saw two plates cost me $40. BUT you get a lot of food and it was so GOOD! I was shocked reading some of the reviews below because every part of our food was bomb. Full of flavor in each bite and hot. I do think having menus visible could be a huge help. This place is definitely worth the visit and we will be back!“

“BEST gotdamn rice and peas I've had in a long while. I get it with ox tail gravy and I also get the cabbge. I mix the two. It's super good. I tried the ginger drink that's made in house and it's reallly good, almost better than when I juice myself. I'm not one to write reviews if I do it's because something is eitehr that good or that bad. This is that good. I live down the street for years and work in the area and never knew they were there. Glad I found this place.“

“Best Jamaican food I've come across in San Antonio. The restaurant has a lot of tables and a large bar which you can also sit at. The first question I asked our wait-staff was how their Jamaican food compared to Jamaica. I've been to Jamaica before and love the locally cooked Jamaican food. I really love the jerk meats. The person answered that the owner is from Jamaica. I noticed right away after eating some of their jerk quarter chicken and their mango Bonnet that the flavor was outstanding.“
