Little did we know they were 1 minute away from closing - we got to the window and realized that it was 1 minute from closing so we were just going to leave (never want to be "those" people) - The lady inside insisted on serving us and told us that it was no problem at all. “I don't know why it's taken me so long to rate Southern Custard.Since I've moved to Atlanta I've been to Southern Custard probably 20+ times. It is BY FAR the best Custard I've ever had.They have vanilla and chocolate on every day, and then each day they rotate a special flavor once per month. So make sure you look at their flavor calendar and plan accordingly.They make their own waffle bowls and cones, which are my absolute favorite.They also have Poffertjes, which are small Dutch pancakes with Custard. “The Chocolaterie is as good as the hype! They have great ice cream, delicious fudges, and an enormous selection of chocolates. They also have a variety of other types of goods- from jackets and plushies to coffees and specialty soft drinks. I made sure to take a picture of every shelf and display when I visited them this past Saturday. I had the triple chocolate and praline double scoop cup. The Praline had pecans, but it also had some kind of cookie/pie crust crumbles inside that added a really nice crunch. The triple chocolate was rich and deeply chocolate-y. I have only tried a couple of the chocolates thus far, but at $2.95/piece, they are competitively priced compared to similar shops. My mom got the dark chocolate fudge and it was gone before I could ask her about it. Luckily, I also got some dark chocolate fudge and a peanut butter chocolate fudge. I'm looking forward to it! They are currently looking for help, so if you happen to be into making chocolates or want to work in a unique type of store- this might be a fit for you! The employees were very nice and remained patient with us as we traversed the shop and snapped pictures of everything. They are a cash-less business, so bring your CC and earn some points! Right now, they are decorated from the upcoming Christmas holiday, but it seems the owner likes to set up different decorations and displays and offers unique items around various holidays. Their chocolates aren't quite as good as The Chocolate Fetish, but their local- which brings them up a peg for me!“

I prefer pralines from River Street due to the recipe they use to make them. I asked Zion if Kilwins' praline taste similar to River Street. He said they are slightly different and explained why they are. I was a little skeptical to buying the pralines because some of them taste like they are made with "confection sugar" or "condensed milk". “Great first visit to Cheesecaked today! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and the young lady assisting us told us about each dessert in the display case. She was very positive and smiling the entire time she talked with us.My wife and I ordered a piece of peach cobbler cake that had cheesecake in it, a strawberry shortcake cup with cheesecake in it, and a banana pudding cup with cheesecake in it. All three were good, but my favorite was the strawberry shortcake cup with cheesecake. The strawberries were fresh and sweet. The banana pudding tasted like it also had caramel in it. The peach cobbler cake wasn't overly sweet. Our only wish was the cake/breading on the peach cobbler was more crust like than soft breading. Maybe it was just the piece that we got, but it was still good.I forgot to get photos first so I had to get photos after we had already dug in. LOL“
