I’m in town to see my boyfriend nd asked him for a good authentic Mexican restaurant. He’s Panamanian and doesn’t really eat Mexican food, I know, how is he alive lol jk. I went on google and searched, read reviews and found Tacos El Poli, as usual I was right. I’m able to tell not by the reviews but by the pictures and the menu, and the pictures here didn’t do it justice. Service was excellent, our waiter was super nice. As we were ordering, he mentioned tortillas were hand made!! YESSSS!!! I definitely recommend this place and will for sure come every time im in town. Even my boyfriend who las had Mexican food five years ago like the food. Thanks Tacos El Poli. We had tacos, because it’s what I was craving, they had quesadilla de flor de calabaza which was delish and grilled peppers and grilled cactus. Made me feel like I was in Mexico or back home in little village where they have so many authentic Mexican food restaurants.Kid-friendliness: They do have a full bar but the ambiance is also kid nd family oriented. “We had a large party, and the servers were able to accommodate us with excellent service. We went for lunch, and they greeted us with chips & salsa and immediately took our drink orders. Our food was delivered quickly and was very tasty.I had the Tacos Al Pastor (my fav) and finally a restaurant that cooks the pork without overlooking it! It was seasoned well, and the pork was juicy. I believe my drink was the Bonita Blue but I can't remember if that was the exact name. I tried something different but I'll stick with my Strawberry Margaritas. Overall, great experience! “We celebrated my daughter's birthday at this restaurant. Initially, we didn't expect to enjoy ourselves so much since they had someone they're singing karaoke the whole time. But, this woman threw down on the karaoke machine.She sang every genre you can think of. It was definitely like having live entertainment there. My family and friends and my daughter especially had so much fun at this restaurant.The waitress gave the karaoke singer request and she's sang them perfectly! She had us dancing in our chairs, applauding and everything.Two strangers gave my daughter $20 each for her birthday, she was in shock ? but very happy. One woman told me I was amazing for getting up dancing to take my tip to the karaoke singer.There were 10 people in our party and it was really a great time. The server, the food oh my goodness just some of the best Mexican food I've ever tasted and it came out fast.This was definitely a five star experience that we will never forget.“

“Not really a fan of Mexican cuisine But i wanted to try something different So I ordered "2 spicy burritos " Kept it simple and went with Ground beef nachos And churros. The nachos were nice I mean for delivery food It definitely worked I got everything on it Tomatoes, sour cream etc... The ground beef used in it Didn't give me the impression I would have to worship the toilet After eating I feel good after finishing my meal And the taste was flavorful without Being too salt The churros These were interesting Texture very on point And they have different filling in the middle This was a surprise I had the white filling ( my favorite) And the caramel filling The white stuff was somewhat vanilla, And buttery I repeat, for delivery food.. The slight crunch with the soft Doughnut like interior.... Two thumbs up FYI, this place is known for there burritos So next time i will try it“

So my husband ordered 5 tacos and I ordered 3.he also go a Long Island ice tea for $11.00. all that came to @ $39.00.,the manager told us that they do not do the freebies on today and wanted me to pay for the fajita bowl. We told her keep and two words never again. There is nothing to say that in the advertisement , nor small print.switch and bait make sure to check your receipts before paying for the food.we did not want nor paid for that bowl.ridiculous.“

“We typically travel outside of Gwinnett County for flavorful Mexican food but took a chance on Rustico. We were greeted by the owner (I remember his face because I visited this restaurant a week after it opened) and he took us to our table. The owner is very involved (host, seating guests, re-arranging and bussing tables, etc) which is a huge plus in our book. The food was flavorful, the service was great and my wife (who is from Southen California) really enjoyed the meal. We ordered fish, steak and chicken tacos and a chicken burrito without the cheese sauce (cheese sauce must be a Southern request because it is not present in Mexican food in Southern California). Our boys order chicken tenders and fries and loved it.As long as the quality of food and service is consistent with our experience today, we will continue to frequent this establishment. The restaurant is a little hole in the wall, with wooden booths from the 90s, and those little archway window openings, and hand made art all over the place, with mariachi band music playing on the PA. This place delivered on all fronts. It was our first time going there, and we just were in one of those "we want some mexican" moods, and I just picked the first place that was close by that met the criteria above, that looked like it was reasonably priced. The reviews looked good and off we went. This place exceeded our expectations on pretty much every level. The staff were kind and attentive. My glass never came close to being empty at any point, the food was hot, delicious and massively portioned. My pregnant wife was very full, and she's eating for two! Our server whose name escapes me at the moment, but he was wearing a puffy red Marty Mcfly vest (extra points for that btw) was super nice and chill, and just kept the whole experience the vibe we wanted and were after. He even offered us to go Mr. Pibbs which was appreciated. We will definitely be back.“

“Finally marked this spot on my DTL bingo card and it was definitely worth it. The vibe is great and feels modern and classy. Great date night spot. The braised short rib dissolved in the mouth and had a unique flavor, the chicarron was flavorful and crispy, the sangria was refreshing, and the fresas con crema was a light but fresh ending to the night. We also had tacos, which were ok, everything else was so exceptional that is felt like the “chips and salsa” of the restaurant that you pay for. There are better and cheaper tacos elsewhere, I wouldn’t come for that. Also the flan was average, slightly overcooked and not silky smooth but I’m a flan snob so I noticed it.
