“Brought my cat-loving kiddo here on our recent vacation to Chattanooga. Was easily his favorite part of the trip! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a relaxing getaway, just be aware that your relaxation will be interrupted by some adorable, cuddly cats!“
“This was my first visit. The menu isn't crazy large but there are plenty of good options. I got the shrimp and grits and was blown away. The shrimp was in a crazy good sauce and was over the creamiest grits ever. I'll definitely be back!“
“I am looking to potentially move to the Chattanooga area and this place caught my eye! Used books and coffee?! Yes please! I spoke with the owner/operator while I was ordering. She told me that her grandmother opened the store initially for used books, but those don't pay the bills (!) so when she sees people finding books here instead of just coming for the coffee that makes her so happy! There's lots of space and many different seating options. I recently started writing a book and this is the perfect place for that- or any work that needs to get done. Plus, $5 used books are a deal! I ACCIDENTALY got 7....and a latte. I'll be back for sure!! I put that I spent $1-10 for the coffee but I did buy 7 books. Just wanted to clarify!Parking: Free street parking! However, I came here on the heels of a winter storm, so there were not as many people out. Either way, it was easy to park.Kid-friendliness: There is a lot of space that is carpeted that would be great for kids to play on the ground. There are multiple different kinds of seating options too!Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of space between tables and plenty of room. On the first floor.“
“Best bakery in Chattanooga. I am so glad they’re always packed, because we want this place to stay open lol. You can get their sourdough loaves in Whole Foods and Food City, but there’s something special about walking in to a place like this to get your weekly provision. However, for me the stars of the show are their pastry selection, especially their viennoiserie that is very hard to beat, especially for around here. Do try their seasonal cruffins and (my favorite) raspberry croissant. Their lunch selection is also pretty delicious and (I think) gets updated pretty frequently. Enjoy it in their cute little patio.“
“Traveling on a Monday we chose to stop at Real Roots for a late lunch with planned leftovers for dinner before checking into our hotel. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. We were happy to find they had a dog-friendly patio because we were traveling with our little dog. It was a coolish spring day and were craving soup as an appetizer. My husband chose a cup of red lentil and quinoa chili, I chose a cup of the butternut squash soup. Both were perfectly spiced and beautifully presented. The chili was topped with micro greens and a cheesy sauce, the butternut squash soup was topped with sliced scallions. We both chose the recommended Chick-un burrito sandwich and tortilla chips- a filling and delicious main.“
“Stopped on way to aquarium and was pleasantly surprised to find an independent coffee shop. We ordered a cold, brew, cappuccinos, and a chai latte and every drink was spot on. Delicious! Coffee was rich and chocolaty -no burnt flavor! Barista was pleasant and helpful. Go buy their coffee and enjoy!“
“I was about to go to mad mug but saw the artwork on the wall and stopped here first.Absolutely adorable. I love the theme they have going and wish I picked up a shirt. (Didn't have what I wanted in large at the time)It was a little cramped when they were busy, and there's not a lot of seating, but the coffee was great. So it was worth the experience.“
“The espresso martini mocktail might be my favorite drink anywhere, ever. I would have this as my morning coffee every day if I lived closer. The teas and coffees are all great too, but the mocktails are not to be missed! Lots of vegan and GF snackies available, fun decor, and most importantly- kind, talented staff. Love it here.“
“We went to support a fellow church member who was participating in a songwriters round robin singers night that started at 7pm on a Saturday night in downtown Chattanooga. So many very talented Christian music artists shared in 20 minute increments of uplifting songs that they wrote about living life with the saving presence of Jesus Christ in their hearts. The coffee and desserts served here are some of the best I've had in a while. Bring the whole family for an inspirational heart healing time with these local Christian artists! Thank you Cadence Coffee for your excellent hospitality!“
“This place was perfect for a casual vegan dinner and drink on the weekend! Ashley was so kind and helpful to us while we hung out. I got the Culture Club, which was the only club I’ve been able to have since going vegan, and it was delicious. We’ll definitely be back!“
“My wife can't eat gluten. This restaurant has a huge amount of gluten-free options. The fried chicken fingers she got tastes just like regular fried chicken fingers! The gluten-free fried green tomatoes were great too.Dietary restrictions: Tons of gluten-free options“
“Being from Chattanooga and then moving away, Sleepy Head is always first on my list when I come back home. My favorite are the donuts and their matcha. My too year old loves them too!Dietary restrictions: Delicious gluten free and vegan donuts!“
“Edit: THANK YOU to the owner for personally reaching out and addressing this issue! It spoke volumes. You truly care about your customers and that’s much appreciated. We gave the Snack Shack another try and it did not disappoint. Cheeseburger was great and the spicy fries are so yummy! Staff was friendly as well. If you haven’t given them a try… do. They won’t disappoint.Original review: Went to place an order at 7:34 and was told that their grill of off so they could not serve us… open sight was CLEARLY on and says your are open until 8… not a great first experience at all and I may not go back if this is how you run your business.Cant rate the food since they wouldn’t serve us…“
“Came here for some coffee making tools and stayed for some coffee and a treat. Bustling place and well stocked with brewing tools. Friendly in spite of the rush. DELICIOUS scone! Not too sweet but short (crunchy) at the edges and tender interior. Scone perfection IMO. No baking powder after taste and no glaze embellishment.“
“Fantastic and kind of funky environment. Our server was wonderful and very efficient. I had the Mushroom omelette, it was delicious. Mom had a breakfast sandwich called the Hot Mess, she says it was fantastic. Chai tea lattes are nearly perfect. I will definitely go back. You should stop in for breakfast or brunch.“
“The ice cream was delicious and the atmosphere super cute and very clean. My only constructive criticism would be to have at least one non-dairy flavor or sorbet available. It was heartbreaking to watch my 3 yo, who has a dairy allergy, so excited only to realize she couldn’t have anything. We had to go to another ice cream shop to ensure she was able to have a treat. People who may have allergies still would like to partake with their family and friends, especially children. You become even more aware of that when your child is unfortunately the one who has to miss out.“
“I went in on a Saturday afternoon to get some work done.I enjoyed my chai latte- not too sweet which I enjoyed.Fast service, clean bathrooms, and plenty of space to enjoy your cup of coffee.Parking: Just a few spots behind the building but you may be able to park by the church building next door.“
“if you want to sit and do homework, chill with a beverage, or shop local, this is the spot for it all! it’s such a vibe in here, so welcoming and spot on soundtrack. bonus big windows to feel as though you’re outside without actually sweating your weiner off . love it here!!“
“I don’t live in this neighborhood, and I had no idea it was here, until the Chattanooga Coffee Week, and the Instagram posts introduced me to them. This is such a great little coffee shop, very pretty, and in a neighborhood location close to local hospitals. In addition, the latte is very tasty and the barista was sweet. I’ll definitely be back.“
“Food: well the coffee was delicious! I had a coupon so I got a free latte and I chose the hazelnut bliss with oat milk. Delicious. Only complaint is the price. I definitely can’t see myself coming back regularly and spending $5.50 for a small. The actual food on the other hand, wasn’t too great. Everything bagel was homemade (so plus for that) but was incredibly salty and pretty dense. The blueberry muffin was also pretty mediocre. That being said… this is a coffee shop, not a food cafe so it’s less important to me that these aren’t so great.Service: people were so friendly, I just wish they took order at the speaker so you don’t order at the window and sit while they make everything. It makes the drive thru take much longer.“
“We arrived as the shop was locking up at closing time, and the owners kindly invited us in and said they didn’t want to disappoint our kids. They did not rush us even though they were staying late to take care of us, and this really made a special experience for our family on our trip to “
“The best crepes ever in all of my 62 years of living!! No kidding! I had the 1/2 and 1/2 and the first half was bacon egg and cheese. I forgot what it’s called on the menu. The sauce they put on top was so tasty that I asked Cindy the manager (actually I begged her) for the recipe. The second half was the berry crepe. Lordy Lordy ! I don’t even know which I liked the best. When it’s time to enter the Pearly Gates some day this is what God will be serving up! I told her how I was visiting from Texas and she was the kindest friendliest person ever! Cindy makes you want to come back and visit soon! My BFF lives in Chattanooga so we will definitely be coming back. If anyone is looking for the most delicious meal with the friendliest people it’s Adele’s Creperie! Thanks yall! Yippy Chi Yay!“
“Genuinely the best coffee shop around! I absolutely love the owner and his parents. They are so sweet and always welcome me with a smile. Gary and I had a 20 minute long conversation yesterday just catching up with one another. They value their customers and the relationships they build with them. 10/10 recommend their coffee, food, and the customer service is always beyond good!“
“Greatest coffee and sweetest people in Chattanooga.Chattanooga can sometimes be alienating for people who don’t dress or act hip. But the sweet people at Be Caffeinated treat everyone with great manners and are welcoming. Many places in Chattanooga could learn a great deal from the Staff at Be Caffeinated.“
“I had driven in from Nashville to purchase something and ended up here with the seller for a coffee/tea this past Saturday.I was amazed by the size of it, the Church and also the kindness and friendly nature of the owner, who told me he is a guitarist as well. There is a lot of space here for reasonably sized group meets too. I plan to bring my family back on our next visit to Chattanooga.“
“Love the great balance between phenomenal traditional coffee AND creative twists! I always ask baristas for their favorite drinks to expand my horizons and I was recommended the cortado…before noticing the lemonade coffee with pea tea ice cubes!! Naturally, I ordered both and was doubly impressed. The cortado was exquisite; the aroma and taste was an absolute sensory joy! Having recently discovered coffee lemonades, I was further made a fan and Velo’s addition of pea tea cubes gave it a fun twist. This coffee shop will surely be a go-to recommendation for all my coffee snob friends and the adventurous alike.“
“I’m still in awe of what an amazing experience my first visit was! I’ve been exploring a new coffee shop in Chattanooga every week and at my 16th stop, I’ve found a favorite!!A parking lot makes all the difference on a day I don’t want to worry about parking tickets. As soon as I walked in, I was hit with a serene and peaceful feeling. Upon walking to the counter, I was warmly greeted and when I asked what was a common favorite drink I was not only shown what was popular, but what each of the baristas favorites AND told the awesome story behind their tea suppliers. Patty and Ace were both so attentive and in no way made me feel like a new costumer. I walked around and took pictures of the space as I waited on my drink and loved it when Ace made another suggestion for my tea then carefully added sweetner to my tea and walked my cookie over to my table.I sat down in silence, not even daring to open my work laptop afraid of interrupting the absolute bliss of a peaceful morning. I did end up on my phone raving to a friend about my official favorite coffee shop. This was before talking to Patty some more and learning the space was part of the Mission church and their focus is community. Encouraging people to engage off their phones and slow down.Needless to say, I’m excited to make this spot a common go-to. I pray everyone who stops by experiences the same wholesome, refreshing, and calming effect I had.“
“After a long week at work, The Grind has become my Saturday treat to myself! The owner and her teammates are kind and considerate. You can tell they take great pride in their craft. My current addiction is their iced Love Shot latte with strawberry cold foam. Highly recommend!“
“Such an amazing place. The highest of quality, FRESH, Biblically clean, homemade food for just a $1 or so more than a fast food meal. VERY reasonably priced for what you get. Great ambience and such kind staff. Can’t wait to return and try something else on their menu. We’ve had their Reuben, veggie burger, pesto Turkey sandwich and all beef Hot Dog, in addition to their granola and homemade soups and salads. They are all so good! Do yourself a favor and check it out.“
“Much like all the other stories on here, I drive by everyday and finally decided to stop. I drink black coffee everyday and I’ve never realized how bitter gas station coffee is until now. The lady at the window was very helpful in helping me pick my coffee as I’m a coffee shop noob. This stuff is the bomb dot com and surprisingly affordable. 100% will be back“
“Absolutely love this place for their coffee, friendly service and warm atmosphere. I’ve met friends here for coffee in the mornings and have always enjoyed my time. A special shout out to Sam who has often served me early in the mornings - once bringing me a coffee across the street in January as I was removing ice from the sidewalk at Christ Reformed Baptist Church! Great barista/great service!“
“Absolutely great place to get coffee! This shop is located inside of a hotel but still is great small coffee shop to go to. The barista there was testing different ways of making coffee and giving it the tests to customers to try. Also asked me a few more questions than usual to try and find a latte that would suit me. The atmosphere isn’t the best compared to others but the location and coffee are incomparable to a lot of cafes I have been to.“
“This place is a gem. I’m still sipping on my iced coffee as I write this review. It’s so delicious that I felt inclined to leave a review as soon as possible. The customer service was amazing! The shop was aesthetically pleasing and the coffee itself was immaculate. I will gladly be back several days a week to binge on their coffee. Don’t judge me.“
“We arrived about 15 minutes before closing but the barista was welcoming and friendly. I ordered an Iced Lavender Latte with oat milk. It was good, but I felt like there was something off. I don't know maybe the oat milk wasn't as creamy as I'd like or there wasn't much oat milk added, or maybe there was too much lavender syrup. I'd have to try an iced latte again from here to see how I'd feel about it again, probably with soy milk or something. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't crazy about it.I loved the interior: the dark wood, assorted plants, and colors. The design of the logo and word signs are so aesthetically pleasing. The overall atmosphere of the place felt cozy and cool. I'd come back here again!“
“Family Reunion of 50 people at this wonderful Downtown Chattanooga hotel was fantastic! Rooms were clean, spacious and modern. Beds comfy. Food for our Banquet was hot, tasty, and safely served Buffet Style. Entire staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommended!“
“Such a refreshing change from "the usual" -- a nice QUIET coffee shop ideal for studying or writing. Instrumental jazz music plays on the overhead, while the cafe features a friendly and attentive staff. Great coffee and small bites to help you get through your day are also highlights. * (Reasonably priced, as well!)Parking: A small lot wraps around the back. There is also plenty of street parking free of charge.“
“Highly recommend the royal sundae. The service was friendly and fast. The ice cream itself wasn't particularly special in my opinion, but the toppings and blondie made it fantastic. I took off a star for being overpriced imo ($17 for a shared sundae)“
“Went early on a Saturday just after 8pm opening, not a smoker and hoped to beat the fog bank that can develop with multiple smokers, cover was around $10 and one drink purchase, I don't do alcohol and opted for a coke zero, it was flat and owner/manager heard and replaced with no problems, the bar tender/cashier Dahlia was a cute petite lady and does dance as well and I got what was a nice private room dance but despite enjoying myself I guess she didn't because as soon as the song ended she had her crocs on and was out the room, I was going to get a few more songs but didn't get a chance to ask, had a beautiful lady Trixie talk and enjoy some small talk with her got several dances from her and she was wonderful, had a dance from a couple other women and enjoyed them as well. As the name indicates it is a bikini bar so all dancers were covered with bikinis, no nudity but I still had a nice time. There were about 8 to 12 different dancers and a wide assortment from petite little treats, bbw, small breasts and large, 5' to close to 6' tall. Will be back.“
“Consistently good food. Staff is attentive and friendly. I like that *two* brew choices are usually available - and fresh. Keep it up and I’ll continue as a (super) regular?. **One request: Enough with the Cranberries! (who I like). You know what mean. Mix in some jazz & 70s ballads ? ? ..“
“My wife & I visited here to take a break from researching spots for our BBQ food truck. The baristas were so friendly! They answered my questions about different beverages and offered suggestions. The London Fog w/ lavender is the bomb dot com! We'll definitely be back!“
“Great spot for breakfast that was within walking distance of our hotel. Wife and I loved our iced coffees and the breakfast items were good too. I got a bacon & egg burrito that came with salsa and wife & daughter got blueberry muffins. All very good and fresh. They also have a nice drive thru if that fits your need.“
“Best coffee shop hands down in chattanooga. The coffee / food are always made with a local touch. The views and park location make this one of a kind place. . Service is always very prompt and professional. I work close so visit it very often. I highly recommend this place.“
“Every time I go I always get good service, good coffee and even when they are slammed I still get phenomenal service. 10/10. I am a regular and EVERY staff member is always bright perfect. Prices aren't bad at all for the quality you get! Would recommend every time for everyone.Could not be better!Dietary restrictions: They always make sure to also if you have any dietary restrictions and milk of preference.“
“I can only assume by your cavalier attitude that you have yet partake in the wonderment that is the Culture Coffee Co. Allow me to enlighten you. What happens is the one true God grows Arabica beans on trees in the Elitian fields using a mystical incantation, He then proceeds to magic them down to your local coffee place where whatever societal reject Culture Coffee Co. has rescued off the dole that week gently caresses them in a grinder, brews them and passes them along to you, the fortunate consumer. You proceed to ingest this finery in the vain hope that your obviously overmatched tastebuds can somehow comprehend the delectable intricacies that face them. Is that Carmel? Why yes, yes it is. And frothy milk too. But wait, did they...? They didn't. Yes, they did, they did indeed. They added whipped cream. And then, then my friend, they wrapped it in a togo cup. As your tastebuds try to process that amazing piece of information, it hits them: the Caffeine. The motherfluffing Caffeine. It announces itself with a burst of confectionery grandiosity the likes of which your pallet has never seen!“
“Always on the hunt for new coffee. Plenty of parking available. Nice business in an otherwise not great looking part of town. Service was great, pleasant, and efficient. The coffee (drip) was self serve and they had 3 varieties. The one I selected was great, hot, and tasty. The food available wasn't made in-house or 'local' I had a muffin which I guessed was from Costco and it was Sams Club. I would like local if the option was available. The muffin was fresh though and did taste good. Price was less than $5 for pastry and small coffee. Overall great experience.“
“Being walking distance from my office I meet clients here whenever I’m needing to meet a new client outside of the office. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is calming. Food is great. Drinks are great. I always get the horchata steamer, best drink ever. Definitely recommend it. Seating can be difficult at times if they are busy. If your alone, othen times you can snag a seat an occupied table without issue.“
“The hotel is unique! Check-in is at the bar! Stayed here with girlfriends and enjoyed the delightful lobby with multiple seating areas designed in boho fashion. We were given a $10 token to be used for a specialty drink at the bar or their coffee shop (which wasn't open until the next morning). The "bartender/check-in gal" was most helpful and very friendly. Our room (for 3) was adequate although not very functional. Two queen beds sit back to back which looks "fun" but in reality was not very conducive for us. The decor is cool, pegs line one wall to hang clothes, bags, etc. since there is no closet or dresser. The room appears smaller than most with a narrow layout. There is no refrigerator in the room. Ice may be obtained at the bar as there are no ice machines available. An "ironing" room is located on each floor. I would find this extremely inconvenient if I had been a business traveler! The bathroom was lovely and very clean and modern. I particularly liked the walk-in shower. The hotel has one cart for customers to use to help with luggage. My one complaint is the lack of parking. We returned to the hotel at 9:00 pm and had trouble finding a space. We ended up parking in their auxiliary lot which was further from the hotel and very inconvenient. The hotel is close enough to walk to many restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Overall the stay was good, fun decor and pleasant staff!“
“What a view! This Starbucks is absolutely beautiful, perfect location as well. Whether you're needing that morning pick me up or after hike energy this Starbucks has you covered! We went right after our Rock City experience and it was so comforting to take a seat and just reminisce the beauty we just indulged. It can get quite busy - definitely keep in mind that you might have to wait a tad longer due to high traffic due to the prime location on weekends especially.“
