We always take out from Hong Kong Star. Every time one of us asks for something special for example 'low oil' on the fried rice. They always follow our instructions and prepare the dish just as we like it.
This has joined our regular rotation since a family member needs gluten-free now for health reasons, but I love both the food and the friendliness of the staff. They patiently explain ingredients and dishes to my kiddos who are not familiar with Chinese food. They are fantastic at making almost everything on the menu gluten-free and confirming it when it comes to the table (for carry out the gf gets a sticker so it's clearly labeled). My wife and I used to frequent this Chinese restaurant, stopping a while back because the quality of food and service had declined. We decided to give it a try again and were happy that we did. We had a late lunch, the food was excellent, as was the service. I had sweet and sour shrimp while my wife had a szechuan dish. Good taste at a reasonable price.
