“It was my first time there, though I’d seen the place for years. I’d moved to another area of town so I never got a chance to dine there. I recently was in the area and craving barbecue and I remember Jim n Nick’s. Hooray! I ordered the 2lb classic rib with baked bean and Mac and cheese. The mini cheese muffins and sweet butter spread was unexpected and awesome. And 5 minutes later my order was on the table and looking delicious. When I ate the first rib I was in love, food love. The best ribs I’ve eaten so far. I am looking forward to visiting again with friends. I want to experience more items on the menu.“
“Nice place restaurant busy, lots of noise when having conversations. The food taste ok, the chicken was not a must-have as the server presented. Our food also did not come out hot or warm the plate was warm the food was room temperature. I had the Trout with add on chicken. They were ok not much seasoning as I would have expected from a southern restaurant. Beer was good. The fried green tomatoes were also good. Would only return for apps and drinks.“
“Located in Home Park we happy to see that the location was not difficult to get to. There was a parking garage around the corner however there is complimentary valet service which is always a relief. The dining room has several rooms with different views my husband and I were sat in a room full of windows which was nice. My husband and I were in for our anniversary and decided to try one of the new Michelin recommended restaurants. We came for a 5:30 reservation and left close to 8:15. The service was decent however there was several times that we said " ummmmm where is our waitress?" But I think the staff does a good job of working as a team. We started off with some drinks I got the Miller Time ( a nice light and refreshing gin cocktail) and my husband got a beer. We were very impressed with the beer menu they had lots of our favorites and was certainly a nice treat for him. For starters we had the hush puppies ( cooked well, with a chutney on top and a nice creamy sauce underneath), The Farm Baked Egg( a staple to the restaurant, deliciously creamy with outstanding sourdough toast) and, the Local Lettuce Salad( I really loved how the ingredients were the star of the show with this salad. It was by no means underdressed but it was well balanced enough that you could enjoy all of the in season veggies), for dinner I had the Pork schnitzel( I was a little disappointed by this one the sauce was unlike any I have ever had and was heavy on the citrus while the collards were difficult to eat because they were so tough, the pork itself was pretty standard although, I had always thought schnitzel was supposed to be pretty thin this was not. The dish was highly recommended but I think it just wasn't for me) my husband had the duck leg ( which was cooked very nicely and he was very satisfied with the overall dish) for dessert we were gifted some glasses of Prosecco ( very sweet to include for our anniversary) to go with the vanilla cake( very moist and was paired with island flavors), the lemon bar( pleasantly bright with a raspberry sorbet and grapefruit mouse. I loved everything about this dish there was so many bright puckery flavors but it was not overwhelming.) and, the Dessert cheese course( lovely selection on cheeses the only thing that was off to me is the strawberries were not sweet at all.... It was a little sad). I also ordered a cappuccino which unfortunately had no foam on top paired with their hazelnut liquor which was very good. All in all it was a good experience.“
“I went with a friend for lunch. It was busy, but we could get a seat within 5 minutes. The food was fast and came out in less than 10 minutes after we ordered. In total, we spent $60, which included tax and tip and included two entrees, a sharing dish, a side, and a drink.I got the hash, which came with eggs, bacon, and deliciously melted cheese. The potato hash was crispy yet soft on the inside. I also got a side of fried chicken, which was scrumptious. How can you go wrong? Fried chicken, melted cheese, and bacon.“
“I’ve been here four times and it’s always amazing. It is pricey but the food is excellent, flavorful and the portions are huge. Even when there is a mishap with your food (which can happen anywhere) they are ALWAYS apologetic and accommodating with either replacing your meal or taking it off of your bill. The servers are amazing at what they do. You can tell all of the staff really care about what they do. Finally, THAT POUND CAKE IS OUT OF THIS WORLD!“
“They rolled out a new menu and when I say it was amazing, I mean it!! I had the fried artichokes, pork steak with a hash brown casserole, mac and cheese, and a side of bacon just cuz. We had Mr. Timothy as our server and he was so kind and a great help! If you all haven’t been here, you gotta try it!!“
“Me and my family came in for the first time today and we had an amazing experience from beginning to end. The restaurant is red and black , which is my favorite colors so we felt right at home lol. The cashier , I forget her name, but she was so patient, sweet and friendly when taking and explaining our order... the food came after about a 15 minute wait, and when I tell you we enjoyed every bite. I got the 3 whole wings and waffles with a side of baked beans and potatoe salad(thank you Marvelle W.) I would break everything down but just know this place is a must try. Marvelle was amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed. And was very sweet , nice, accommodating, and personable (Hey Neighbor!) LOL. Now that's customer service! Thank you Hattie Bs. Yall have became my top favorite spot in ATL.#BossLifeGumbo #MobileAL“
“I had breakfast here with my family. The wait for our party of 4 was about 15-20 min. When we finally went inside, we were seated at a booth. The usual decorations were down due to an upcoming filming, but the vibe was unaffected. We had a great server. She had an upbeat personality and was on top of things. The food could be a 4 out of 5 stars, but the overall experience was a 5. I loved the chicken fried steak. The lemon icebox pie was just ok. I was expecting something better given the accolades it had received. I sampled my family’s food and liked it. Pretty much straightforward food with no razzle dazzle.“
“Food was mid… I’ve been here a few times and had a better experience but today my food not only was cold but overcooked. On the plus side our service was IMPECCABLE. Our server’s name was Daisia (hope I spelled it right). Literally from start to finish, she was attentive, courteous and extremely responsive. She was so on point that I almost didn’t care about my food quality.“
“Ordered the Korean Loaded Fries that are topped with their “Comeback" sauce, green onions, and roasted kimchi. I was skeptical but pleasantly surprised. The food was really good and full of flavor! More locations in the metro areas is definitely needed.“
“Michael was attentive and helpful. He was very pleasant and funny. He made our experience very comfortable. The food was amazing. Chicken was perfectly cooked and hot. The greens were impeccably seasoned and the sweet bread cornbread was out of this world. I feel like we need to experience that one more time before we leave Atlanta. 5 stars on everything. We wish we lived here lol ?“
“I went to location across from the Aquarium. From the hostesses to my amazing Server Janiece, the entire experience was awesome! I had the Chicken and waffles and they were good. Both hostess (didnt get her name) and my waitress Janeice recommended the peach cobbler. Having never had peach cobbler I got it on the side. The chicken was flavorful and had nice crunch to it. The peach topping was nice. I cant wait to go back and try the chicken and biscuits w/black pepper gravy. 10 out of 10 from overall experience.“
“Alvinnn !!! Love him downnn. 10/10 . Very welcoming. Alvin never allowed me to need for anything, from the time i sat down to leaving. He reassured me that i will always have an outstanding experience here with the service & food . Shout out the hookah guy Brandon as well !“
“Perfection in all levels! My husband and I celebrated a job success on Friday night. We were able to get a last minute reservation. Everything was on point from the service, appetizers, cocktails and main meals. I highly recommend this adorable southern charm restaurant.“
“First time eating here. Food is very delicious. I had the Diner Dip and my partner had the Cuban sandwich. He said it reminded him of Miami. For dessert he had the Salted Caramel Cheesecake and I had the German Chocolate Cake. Both very delicious. Our waiter was William D. I highly recommend him as your waiter when you visit. He recommends items from the menu. He is very attentive to your needs. I would give this place five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“The food here is amazing! We tried the chicken sandwich, mac and cheese, fries, cornbread, and tenders. Everything was absolutely delicious. We ate inside and they even came out to check on how the food was and tell us about the restaurant and the chef. Very impressed - especially for food this inexpensive. We’ll be back soon to try more of the menu!“
“Stumbled across this hidden gem in Marietta and so glad I did. This place is BOMB! This is the best soul food I’ve had in ATL. Very reasonably priced and the food quality is amazing. I had the smothered porkchops, Mac n cheese, collard greens and cabbage. The first bite of smothered pork chops made me do a little jig they were so good. Sides were super good too lol. So glad I found this place, I will definitely be back!“
“The food was fantastic. Thomas, our server, was also great, he refilled our drinks any time they reached halfway and had a very friendly personality. The vibes and music were perfect, specifically would like to mention that the music kept me energetic, while not being too loud to socialize. The drinks had a perfect mix of champagne to OJ, mostly being Champagne. I enjoyed this spot a lot and would definitely recommend. It does start to get busier around noon if you’re looking for a more upbeat setting.“
“I’ve lived in the area for years but just noticed the restaurant recently. We decided to order for dinner on a Friday evening, and placed our order online. The online order went smoothly and our food was ready when we arrived at the drive thru. I ordered the blackened catfish platter and my fiancé ordered the crispy catfish platter. Our food tasted incredible! The blackened catfish was delicious, the okra was crispy and the hush puppies were some of the best I’ve ever had. I paired my food with a side of green beans that were cooked perfectly ?Can’t believe we’ve missed out on this place for so long, but we will be back for sure.“
“I’m a frequent visitor and I’ve never had a bad experience. The bbq turkey is delicious and the customer service is always great. The staff is extremely friendly and everyone I’ve recommended has returned to become frequent customers as well.I highly recommend this place.“
“Cozy intimate restaurant with a nice central bar and good decor. Noise level was okay even at full capacity. The food was okay, steak tartare and fried chicken salad the highlight. The short ribs were served cold and the greens were too salty. Our waiter was extremely inexperienced, he didn’t budge at my comment about the greens being too salty, interrupted us while still eating to ask about desserts and forgot to bring the fried tomatoes.“
“Good ol' homestyle cooking! Haven't had anything bad yet. The breakfast is good. The lunch is good. Definitely get there early for lunch. The line is usually out the door. I usually get whatever lunch specials they have for that day. But try the smoked meatloaf.“
“These are literally the best pot pies I have ever had. New to the area, I ended up in Marietta; stumbling upon Paul’s Pot Pies. I bought a few, gave one to my husband and he immediately lost his mind. It was love at first bite. I’m really not supposed to be eating them, but I do sneak one in every now and then. Shepherd’s pie is my favorite, the next is seafood chowder. If you are looking for hand held comfort food or you want share with others; this is the best way to say “hey I like you, I want your belly to feel like mine” this is the way to do it. I don’t know when I’ll sneak to Paul’s again; but I know I will at some point. Everyone doesn’t have to sneak, so for those that don’t, RUN and get yourself one!!! The staff is always kind and pleasant, I’ve been to both locations. I’ve been happy with both.“
“Quirky little place with good food, friendly servers. Prices are decent quality is great with adequate portion size. Highly recommend bring out of town guest, or to treat yourself.Kid-friendliness: Kids will be entertained by the wall decor. Have them count the flying biscuits.“
“I traveled to this location due to a recommendation. I’m glad I did!!! Let me just say, don’t let the outside fool you!!! The food was the bomb!!! Me a my dude both got grilled pork chops, eggs, hash browns and grits!!!! He gave it a 7/10 I gave it a 8.5..9/10!!! I love when food makes me happy!!!“
“Hidden gem! We are visiting Atlanta from Nashville and came across this amazing restaurant. The food is absolutely some of the best bbq I’ve ever had. They also serve breakfast all day. We are coming back tomorrow to try the breakfast burritos. In addition to the great food the service is outstanding. I highly recommended!“
“When I tell you Atlanta Turkey Legs is gonna hit everytime and I mean EVERYTIME! I first got to try them last year at Jump-off Juneteenth event, anytime I see them at any event they are my go to food choice. Their turkey legs are always flavorful and juice, Mac & cheese is delicious with collard greens that have a kick to it! If you want the best of their menu please try their big back bowl ( turkey, greens,Mac & cheese,Kandi yams with cornbread) chefs kiss. The staff is always friendly no matter have busy they are at an event or even at their takeout location I. Which they finally moved in the city right in midtown Their takeout location can get really busy as it's a share kitchen space but it's clean and quick once your order is ready.“
“From out of town, decided to try on a whim as I like home cooked chicken, the chicken is on point with a slight kick to it and boy oh boy does chicken fit the bill for delicious with no disappointment. The beans compliment the chicken and if anything completes the flavor one comes to expect when having chicken with fried pickles, on that note the fried pickles have a great flavor all their own and rounds out the meal. Thank you.“
“Awesome place for brunch. Never had a wait. Service is impeccable. Food is amazing. Unique menu. Our favorites are the banana foster pancakes, grits, biscuit, breakfast burrito. This place has turned into one of our go tos!Vegetarian options: Mostly tofu-based alternatives but there options that don’t have tofu in it.Parking: Limited parking however we have never had an issue when we come. Depends what time you come! When it’s crowded during brunch time, it can be worse.“
“My brother took us to Mr. Diddy while visiting him from out of town. The restaurant was very clean and the young lady who took our order was very helpful. I got the wings with fries and collard greens. My husband got the salmon with Mac and cheese and fried okra. We also ordered the soul rolls. My wings were very good as well as my fried. My collard greens were okay. My husband said his salmon was delicious. I ate the fried okra which was really good as well. The Mac and cheese were okay. The soul rolls were delicious! The sauce that came along with the soul rolls was good, but not quite sure if it goes with the rolls. Overall we enjoyed our food and would come back to the restaurant when visiting Georgia.“
“First time visit when a group of 16 men. Service was wonderful and the food was outstanding. Plenty of seating in a nice atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed the chopped brisket sandwich with Brunswick stew side. Everyone talked about how good the food was. We will be back!“
“We had reservations yesterday our very first time , our experience was awesome from the time we walked in the door we were greeted by all the staff everyone was very friendly food was delicious ? please support G Garvin restaurant you won't be disappointed those angel eggs and calamari were so so good definitely planning to visit again“
“Wow…I was craving some chicken tonight, thought I might try this place since it’s right across the street from me in Dunwoody. When I tell yall I was not prepared for that first bite.. I thought I was just gonna have a simple little chicken sandwich. NOPE. The fact that these folks can just casually whip up the greatest bite of food you’ll ever taste on a random Thursday night like they just did is incredible. I’ve had Ramsay’s Beef Wellington at Hell’s Kitchen and even that pales in comparison to what Jason sent me out the door with tonight.I’ll be back, and I’m bringing all my friends.“
“Catfish night! Good, fresh, homemade food all the time. Great variety, you won't leave hungry!Features: Sanitizer usage enouraged, gloves at buffet. A lot of customers came in with masks on.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetables, Chinese broccoli/ mushrooms/onion, fresh fruitsWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, Staff are very helpful.“
“I love the down to earth atmosphere here. Home style cooking and sweet women with amazing personalities. The food tops everything and was delicious and I would definitely recommend and return. I had French Toast with eggs and my husband had salmon croquettes with grits…and hands down closest to grandma’s than you can get anywhere else. So if you’re out in Atlanta stop in and have some home cooking here. You won’t be disappointed!!“
“OMG……I am so sorry. I forgot to snap a pic when I got my food. It was good though. ? I went for their anniversary today and took my coworker to lunch. Neither of us had eaten at The Flying Biscuit before. The restaurant was very easy to find. It sits on the corner of 10th street and Piedmont, but Lord!!!!!!! Parking is absolutely atrocious!!!! Thankfully there is a lot right next to/ behind the building, but Jesus!!!!!! It’s tight and there aren’t many spots. If you have an suv, you are not going to be able to park here. My coworker and I got the flying biscuit breakfast; eggs, chicken sausage patties, grits, and a biscuit. Our server was named Lexi and she was really nice. The decor in the restaurant was eclectic and cute. There is art all over the walls and ceiling. Our food came out super fast and it was hot. We both enjoyed the meal. My coworker said her biscuit kept falling apart, but she enjoyed it still. The grits were super creamy. So much so, that they almost didn’t event taste like grits. They were so good. The chicken sausage was tasty and not greasy at all. My biscuit………was amazing. I needed you to pause for those few seconds to give respect to how good the biscuit tasted. I do have an after picture of my plate. Sorry again…….I was really excited. We only paid $11.27 for two meals. They add a credit card processing fee when you pay using a card. I’d definitely go back here, but I’d have to be in the neighborhood already or taking Uber. This would be a great place to eat breakfast before a day at Piedmont park.Parking: The lot behind/next to the building is free, but it is tight and small.“
“The crab cakes with spinach side special was delectable. Price: $38. I thought it would be a great place to meet with a client as people online said it was a quiet place for a good meal; it's almost impossible to find quiet restaurants in Atlanta! Why is that?!Unfortunately, it was extremely loud inside the restaurant, likely because it is popular as the food is so good. I had to raise my voice to be heard by my client, who was sitting two feet from me across the table.Other than the noise issue, I really enjoyed the meal. The waiter Sean was pleasant, accommodating and efficient. I enjoyed the look of the restaurant and feel of the restaurant. It was a delightful culinary experience.“
“It be a hit/miss here but for the most part its a hit. Esp if i keep returning. The chicken is so good. So are there sides but when doing take out it seems less compared to dine-in but im still full and it wasnt bad. Todays visit neg would be the ice/drink machine. Everytime it does take a while for the food to come out, like everytime, so i finished my drink and asked if i can grab some ice and put in cup when i walked up to that ice machine i was sooooo grossed out i said theres NO way i will get anything to drink here. It was sooo filthy and disgusting i couldnt do it. It looked really bad. Besides that service is usually great and everything else. Im sorry i shouldve took a picture“
“Today I had the privilege of eating and photographing at Aimer ATL.FRIED LOBSTER TAILSToday I had the experience of trying the Fried Lobster Tails, and they were delectable. These tails would be wonderful for lobster connoisseurs and even those who just do not care for it. Why? The crispy, crunch of the batter is full of flavor, delivering a full southern punch to a subtle crustacean. The batter additionally captures the juices within the meat which explodes upon bites. I highly enjoyed the Fried Lobster Tails and would recommend them. <3 ❤-SaSha Elizabeth Photographersasha official . Com“
“If you love chicken salad (and I do!) this spot is a must try. The history of the franchise is really cool. Started by women and to my eyes completely run by women as well! The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous. The amount of variety from traditional chicken salad, to spicy, savory, even fruity, is staggering and definitely warrants multiple trips. I prefer more of a shredded chicken style to their “pressed and scoop” style but that’s merely a preference. The flavors are great and the prices are reasonable as well. Check it out!“
“I believe our waitress name Dee she was sooo polite & patient! She picked out my food && drink and both were on point ! We visited from NYC. The music was good, food SLAPPED! All of the staff was so friendly. Shoutout to Jayla too she was lit with us all “
“The salad bar was fresh with a variety of greens! The hot food was very tasty and not overly salty. The dessert bar was good also, it was my first time coming and I look forward to returning. The waitress was attentive as well.Vegetarian options: The vegetables were plentiful and they even had a delicious broccoli casserole. The salad bar had a large variety of toppings.“
“Where to begin...this will be a long review, so, sorry in advance. Our experience with The Marietta Local began when I reached out to them regarding catering for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. Since then, we have nothing but positive things to say. We have been dealing mainly with the owner, Jim, who has been extremely accommodating to us. Every phone call, meeting, etc. he has been our point of contact, which I feel like is rare. Before we even fully committed to Marietta Local for our catering, Jim invited us into the restaurant for a meal and told us to try whatever we wanted. We were not disappointed! We had meatloaf, nashville hot chicken, grits, quinoa salad, collard greens, plus a couple more items that I cannot recall at this time -- everything we had was spectacular! We were served quickly and the staff was so pleasant. We got to sit down with the chef, Emily, and talk through our menu preferences, and she assured us the one thing we would not have to worry about is our food, she had it all under control; which, for anyone who has ever planned a wedding and knows the stress, this was so re-assuring to us. I cannot say enough good things about Emily. She is an incredible human and an even better chef. That same visit, we got to meet Jim in person. His personality is infectious. You can tell he is genuinely so proud of his restaurants and I think that shows in the food and service they put out. While our wedding events are not until this weekend, 3/15-16, I can truthfully say I do not have a single concern about our food, but will definitely write another review or edit this one, post-wedding. I cannot wait for our family and friends to try everything that we have planned with The Marietta Local!TLDR; service and food is 10/10, whether it is catering or breakfast/lunch dine-in. This spot is a must try!Edited to say: our rehearsal and reception food was out of this world good!! We have gotten so many texts telling us the food was some of the best they have ever had! Absolutely use Marietta Local for your catering needs!!! I cannot sing enough praise for the entire team.“
“This is the type of place you aggressively gatekeep. Not super impressed with food I order too often but I had to leave a review immediately. The catfish might be the best in Atlanta and could be its own entree. The strawberry french toast is immaculate. If they add mac and cheese to the menu I’d be here weekly. Please give the chef their flowers.“
“Do not get the chicken biscuit. The sausage biscuit and cheese grits were good. I ordered a "steak & egg" biscuit, thinking I was getting actual steak but it was something like a chicken fried steak, which was disappointing, but it was alright.“
“I swear Toni , made my experience the best!! If you go here make sure to request Toni and she will definitely take care of you and provide you with phenomenal service ?. The food wings and the Alfredo is good, the drinks are good . so a great vibe all together, but big thanks to Toni overall !“
“Only THE most amazing brisket I have ever eaten, every single time i have been! On top of just as delicious fried okra I swear that is made for KINGS! Lol! Literally mouth wateringly amazing... I have never had a bad experience, and I am not quite sure how this place isn't slammed packed full at all times!“
“My visit to Fire Restaurant and Lounge on a regular night was nothing short of exceptional. This hidden gem in Austell, GA, boasts a perfect size and an all-around great vibe. The atmosphere is ideal for any occasion, and the attentive staff made the experience memorable. From the diverse menu to the inviting ambiance, Fire Restaurant and Lounge deserves its 5-star rating. Whether it's a special celebration or a casual night out, this place is a definite go-to for a fantastic experience.“
“Great restaurant. It was packed, but seating was very quick. Got biscuits, gravy and grits. Food was fantastic. Grits were creamy like mashed potatoes. Gravy was rich but light. Service was just the right amount of attention. $54 for 3 to eat.“
“We started with the gouda fritters and the fried green tomatoes as appetizers. Needless to say, everything about these dishes were perfectly balanced. For the fritters, the red chili honey was the perfect touch with a whisper of a kick to the fritter but also not overbearingly sweet. The breading let the gouda do the work for flavor and was the perfect encapsulation for the cheese. For the green tomatoes, the breading was also the perfect crustiness for the tomato and paired beautifully with the red coulis. Aesthetically, these dishes appeared to be as thoughtfully put together as the ingredients were for the dish itself. A strong piece for me that was just as significant for the entire meal was the coffee. It has been well over 18 months, maybe 2 years since I've had coffee this robust without the bean being burnt for strength in the flavor. Lastly, for the main dishes, we tried the Egg benedict on brisket and egg white frittata. Since I didn't steal anything from my partner's plate for the benedict, I will say this is the place where you want to try your first egg benedict and no where else, based on the experience of the appetizers. The server did recommend a biscuit with it since there was no other bread on the plate and her recommendation was well placed but didn't take away from the dish flavors itself. For the frittata, the creativity for this dish was vibrant, fresh, wholesome, light, and bursting with flavor without it being over seasoned. The cheese on the dish was the perfect way to tie in with the spinach, tomato, panko sprinkling, and egg as well. Everything about this meal was to die for and securely placed me into foodie heaven as I could truly relish every bite I took and walked away the most satiated palette I've had in a very long time. 15/10 would make this an absolute must visit spot for brunch and this will be very hard to beat back home.“
