“I absolutely love the food and service here! I’m a Chicago native so when it comes to food we don’t play. This place hits a home run in the food that they serve. I have come on several occasions during my visit here for work the last few weeks. This is the only plan I would recommend in the area to anyone. Great food, great service, great environment“
“We stopped in for a birthday party. There were 17 of us and they sat us quickly. The service was great and the food was fantastic! I had the siracha shrimp bowl and it was excellent! My husband had the whiskey bourbon burger with the sweet potato fries. He loved it. The fries were crunchy and the burger had a great taste. We would highly suggest eating here“
“I had driven by this restaurant many times for years and was always curious about it. I finally made the decision to try it out. It looks like they take reservations but since I went on a Tuesday night I decided to take my chances and not make a reservation. We were able to get a table for 2 just fine with no wait. The service here is higher end so it definitely added to the experience. I was intrigued by their Table D' Hote option which was a pre-fixed menu for 2 with 3 courses at $110. Decided not to go for it, but think I will try that next time. Ended up ordering the classic chicken wienerschnitzel, traditional sauerbraten, Kurt's favorite, and banana foster. Ended up loving everything except the wienerschnitzel. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't my favorite since I've had better elsewhere. The European food here is elevated in flavors such as the red cabbage braised in red wine. I've had a lot of red cabbage before but not like that. Could eat that all day. The Hungarian goulash with the spatzle was delicious. And the banana foster was made tableside by Kurt himself which I thought was a nice touch. They even had a enomatic wine bar where you can sample different wines! Walking in the restaurant took me back to Central Europe. It made me think of all the restaurants I dined at in Slovakia and Hungary with relatives enjoying each other's company over a nice meal. It was elegant and made for a nice date night. Everyone dining just seemed happy to be there. I look forward to coming back with my in laws when they visit.“
“Warm night, did not seem to have air-conditioner on, so the main room was very hot. Food was good, portions large, menu good- limited. App- fried green tomatos thick cuts. Special-Salmon, gnocchi & veggies was on the salty side, but good. Cuban chicken sandwich also good. We took 1/2 of each meal home. Again, the Atmosphere was hot and the building is not as upkeep as in the past. Porch tiles are very loosly hanging above diners tables and outside also has decor on the pavement among lots of weeds. We used to dine a couple times a month, but this was the first time back in a year. Great memories, but greatly changed.“

“We have been coming here for years and can definitely say it’s one of the best local spots for brunch! They have a variety of dishes and daily specials that is always a hit! The environment is cute and cozy while the staff are friendly and welcoming. Their signature whipped coffee is a must! They have a delicious churro waffle but this time, I got the special coconut waffle and it was sooooooo amazing, you didn’t even need to put syrup on it. I am still drooling writing this, it was soooo good! The food always come out hot and fresh! It’s fun coming here because you can also build your own biscuit! Told the waitress my wife was hangry and the app came out before she even got our drinks. Paying that close of attention to your customers and going that extra mile is so awesome. “This brewery is basically located in a business park. I initially thought I had input the wrong directions not expecting a brewery to be in such a location. Upon arrival, I found the space to be welcoming, clean, and comfortable. The brewtender didn’t chat much but was very attentive. The Medlock hazy IPA stood out as the best of the bunch so I ordered it twice. I also tried the Nepo Baby (Belgian Golden Ale), and Embrace-A-Cerveza (Mexican Lager). Both were also very solid but didn’t stand out that way the Medlock IPA did; that’s not a criticism. It’s worth a visit when in the area so come check it out.“

Was excited tonight when pork was their braised meat of the day today, meaning they could make the off menu Torta Cubana, a previous menu favorite that was removed when they stopped regularly having pork. My daughter got the burrito ahagado, with chicken. This thing was huge. We started with chips and queso. The house made chips are great, crunchy, just the right amount of greasy, and great with cheese. Highly recommend most of their menu, but wish they would bring back their original chicken fajitas, those were the best. The new chicken fajita is not nearly as good, although still worth ordering.“

“This Bruster's is a great place to get ice cream! The staff is always lovely, I use their loyalty program which is nice, and you can get birthday cakes here too! Our young ones always like those! They stay open late and I hope they always have lots of customers, because they are definitely a neighborhood asset!“
