Large portion sizes for the rolls, they are super thick. I thought it tasted pretty good especially for the price and the workers are super kind and helpful.
Saw this place in a YouTube video and made it a must visit when in Pearl City. Will return here again when returning to Hawaii from Australia. Fantastic customer service and the food was amazing.

Makoto Sushi Aiea is a favorite local sushi spot, tucked away on the same level as McDonald's. It might be easy to miss, but it is a place where locals go. There is no indoor dining, but there are several outdoor tables for a casual vibe. Service is impressively quick and the customer service is amazing, with incredibly kind and helpful staff.
The sushi is made fresh and delicious, offering excellent value. Portion sizes are generous and giant, with a great meat to rice ratio. Just one roll can be a lot for one person. Popular items include the Dragon Fire roll, Honey roll, Sun and Moon roll with spicy mayo, Gentleman's roll, Dragon Tears roll, Makoto special #2, and spicy crab. Prices are fair, especially for Hawaii. This spot is a must-try for delicious sushi.
