“Once we found this Bakery gem, we could not stay away. We ordered 4 coconut macaroons each of our 3 trips there. Another favorite of ours was their delicious Lilikoi bars. Whenever I need a cake for special occasion like birthday, anniversary or retirement, I always get my cake from Elvin’s. They also sell other pastries besides cakes.“
“I found most of the food in Waikiki area of Honolulu to not be very impressive, but the Halekulani Bakery had such delicious artisan pastries that I made it my regular breakfast spot during my Hawaiian vacation. The tea and scones here were okay, but the croissants and danishes are a must try! They had the perfect level of flakiness, and come of a variety of tropical flavors.The bakery itself has a nice contemporary feel with a large communal table for indoor seating, and a patio out front for those who wishes to dine outdoors. “I found the hole in a wall quiet tea room across of my staycation hotel by chance! I ordered rose tea in a tiny decorated tea pot, with cheesecake. Ohmy graciously made creamy not sweet perfect size with my tea! They also carry the most amazing flavor of the made in Hokkaido northern part of Japan, NAMA CHOCOLATE or raw chocolate of all the flavors sold at Haneda and Narita International airport Omiyage souvenir corner that has popular Japanese cuisine to take home. Please check my Photos I took where Kevin prepares it with perfection! His knowledge of their blend of teas are very educational for me for I love drinking loose tea leaves with my tarts of tea that reminded me that Assam tea goes well when making Chai tea from scratch. Kevin and I agree that loose leaf teas taste great than tea bags! They also have slices of sweets such as macrons and whole cakes as well. I heard him say to another clientele next week tiramisu cake. There is limited parking next to the shop., Hours of operation is 11-12noon to 8 pm or was it 7pm? One must try their teas and cakes to go or drink in only a few table setting available inside and outside. Many of his patrons are regulars to go. I highly recommend it to try it out if you're ever in Waikiki...“
“Our friends treated us to some amazing pastries from this place! I devoured the chocolate cupcake! It was dense, moist, and not too sweet. The icing looks think but it's very light. The bunny cupcakes are too cute! We haven't tried the madeleines, sweet cakes, or the stuffed bread yet. Looking forward to it. I gave 5 stars before trying everything because it was one of the best cupcakes I've ever had!“
