“Food and service was awesome. I can't stand burritos that are full of rice or potatoes. This isn't one of those. The hangover burrito was awesome! We also had the the B.E.A.S.T. and the croissant French toast. They were all amazing!“
“Back for our second visit this week, and it did not disappoint!Food was unreal! Best tacos we have had on Oahu this trip.We had the pork and chicken tacos, and the zucchini fries - cannot recommend highly enough!Well priced too!I’d post some photos, but they’re in mah belly“
“My husband's niece picks up burritos and drops it off to us in Ewa since i just had a baby. We have gotten their burritos a handful of times and we always enjoyed everythint but this time there was a hair in it... I will still support cause i love your food but please be careful yall!! :(“
“Wanted to support the local food trucks and glad we did....I had the bean chimichanga and it was big! Filled with beans and cheese...but you can definitely get meat of your choice. My friend had the steak street tacos and said they were delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They definitely showed Aloha! We passed by this food truck a few times and glad we stopped to have a bite. If you are wanting Mexican food, definitely give it a try!“
“Amazing! I’ve been to a lot of vegan places as I live in NYC and I can confidently say Blondies wins over almost all of them. The woman at the counter (I believe the owner?) was super kind and friendly! I love that everything is made in house as well. Will definitely be back when we’re in Oahu again. :)“
“Tlacuaches 808 is an amazing take-out restaurant hidden away in the back of Eaton Square! We ordered carne asada salad and tacos, and both were outstanding. We didn't expect to find good Mexican food in Waikiki, and were pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, we only found it in our last night in Honolulu, but had we found it earlier, we would have eaten there every evening. The portions were large, and the prices the most reasonable that anywhere we found in Waikiki. We had as salad and tacos, both with Carne Asada, and both were amazing. The salsas were also excellent. It closes early, so get there early. It was also closed on Wednesdays. There are common tables that you can eat at, it was pouring rain so we just took it back to our hotel.“
“Absolutely the best Mexican food on the island. I am born and raised in Cali and this place rivals some of those flavors I grew up with. The Carne Asada is incredible. The Baja Fish is a must get. My daughter loved the Keiki Supreme tacos.Atmosphere is super fun, comfortable and clean. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. Get there early because it can get very busy. You cannot go wrong with any order here. The hand pressed tortillas are a must. Hurry, go!“
“This place is legit. Discovered it based on other Yelp reviews and it did not disappoint. Rather hard to find located in a small food trailer in front of Suzie Wongs dive bar. We went to try the ribs since other Yelpers said the ribs were amazeballs, but it was Tuesday and they do a taco Tuesday that day and no ribs. Menu (on Tues) essentially consisted of a 3 taco plate, a Burria taco plate with consume, and a steak quesadilla. Might be one more item but it was fairly limited. Wife got the taco plate. You can do chicken, steak, ground beef or any combination of the three. I tried the Burria taco plate. Prices were extremely reasonable at $8,$10 respectively. I believe it's a father/son that own and operate it. We ordered, paid, and were told we were welcome to get a table at Suzie Wong's and they would bring our food when it was ready which we did. Side note..... Suzie Wong's is listed as a "dive bar" but it was pretty cool actually. Food came quickly, maybe 10min and was hot and delicious. Tacos all had plenty of meat, onions, cilantro, and a green salsa that looked homemade. Everything was so good it was hard to choose a favorite, but wife and I agreed the chicken taco was our favorite, but it was close. Owners were super nice and made sure we were happy. We ordered a second taco plate to go and even bought a cool hat at Suzie Wong's. Only bad thing about traveling is you find all these great places to eat and can't take them with you when you leave. Try Ty's BBQ. You can thank me later.“
“absolutely loaded with flavor!I got the crunchy wrap as you can see in the picture with guac and spicy.10/10 an absolute banger!I am planning to get another taste if this plant based food at least one more time before leaving this island!dont be fooled by my bad photography, this food is 100% worth checking outas of 2/23/24 you can get away with spending $15 per person for a food and drink combo and be satisfied for a night of touring the shops in the area and get a break from the crowds in the current secluded locationI stumbled upon this gem on accident I dont know how to give directions to the location other than google.“
“LET ME TELL YOU. I’m from San Diego and have had some of the best Mexican food offered on the mainland. I moved out here and can NOT find good Mexican food like I’m used to. BUT MY MAN OSCAR (who runs the stand) cooked up some FIRE tacos and a DELICIOUS Birria Quesadilla. Super nice guy and he can cook? You’ll see me here every Tuesday without a doubt.“
“We usually go to the Mexican restaurant at Kamakana Mall, but Frieda's came recommended by a friend. We came to try it out on a Friday and the food came out super quickly with warm chips out of the oven as well. This Mexican restaurant is now my go-to spot when I'm craving Mexican. I had the Birria tacos and OMG.... Sooooooooooo good. The beans and rice were also spot on. They are BYOB so we brought a cooler full of Coronas. Perfect Friday night!“
“Ok, you know how some of the best food concepts are odd little pop ups that appear in random gas stations or convenience stores? This is an entirely new place to find amazing food- at the top of the stairs leading into a parking garage! Think that's all? Nope- because this place has fusion the way that I've only ever found here in Hawaii.Read on as I visit my local Mexican/Thai/Poke/pastry stand. In a parking garage. I've read that Aloha Mamacita also exists in Vegas but has Hawaii roots. I've also read and seen that they have a much larger space with a kitchen just below the space they are currently using, but the dining room simply isn't ready for guests. The good news is that there are cement tables in the courtyard of the building, so you won't have to go far if you want to stay nearby. I happened to visit on the day that they were revising their menu,, so was lucky enough to order. A brand new item- an adorable jiggly kitty pudding. They are $8, come in a variety of flavors, and are big enough to share if you want. I asked the helpful cashier which one was her favorite so far and she said matcha. Too easy, as it is a flavor I always choose. The pudding jiggled and swayed and I truly wanted to poke it forever, but eventually gave in and scooped it up. The texture was much firmer than I'd expected, and so deliciously creamy! It was similar to a very dense creme brûlée once you've made it to the interior. (Interestingly, they do also serve cream brûlée, though theirs is nestled into the center of a round croissant! It looks amazing.) I also decided to order the dish they are most known for, birria tacos. These were stuffed with meat and cheese, and dripping with juices. They were a glorious mess but I know I'll personally be happier when I try other menu items, as the two napkins they gave me were not enough, and my hands smelled delicious even after being washed multiple times. I also ordered the horchata, which was tasty enough, but could not compare to the one at Straight out of Husk. Hmmm, it might just be that I really love cream. My next visit will include at least one thai or Lao dish and a poke bowl, as the poke flavors include Thai and Lao spices on fresh ahi. Lemongrass poke? I can't wait! The poke is not officially on the menu, but seems to be regularly available. I visited at 11am, just as the lunch rush began. I was glad to be early enough to snag a table and was very happy to not be in the crowd of people packed in between the cars and the elevators. Happy to say that when I needed to move through that crowd they were all happy to let me pass by them. Still, I look forward to the day that I can sit inside the restaurant instead of in the courtyard. Prices are on the high end of reasonable. Taco Tuesday means $3 street tacos filled with the delicious tender beef but without the consommé, and they validate parking for three hours with a $10 purchase, which will be every order. Aloha indeed, Mamacita!“
“Where to begin…I’m from Northern California and lived in SoCal for 10yrs. Been searching for something close since I’ve been on Oahu (5yrs). And finally, I have found it! Part of me wants to give it a bad review so I can have this gem to myself. But the people are too kind and Oahu needs this place!! From the service, to the chips and salsa, Cali burrito, Horchata and chocolate flan. Everything was presented and created with alpha. Even the vibrant paint and Frida paintings. It’s all a vibe…a vibe that needs to be shared with the rest of the world!“
“I love this restaurant a lot because the waiters are patient and respectful. I don't understand why there was a rating for 1 because in my opinion it has the tastiest carne asada fries and burritos. I love how the restaurant is colorful and very beautiful! I told my friends to come here if they ever go to hawaii!“
“its clean with good staff and vibe. i just wish their food lived up to the hype… i ordered a trio, cow+pig+shrimp tacos. at 19bucks, i was ready for awesome since that was the most i have ever paid for three tiny tacos… thats fine, its hawaii and things are expensive, and i have no right to judge based on price alone… but its so bland, their salsa bland… is it catering to the swanky gringo pallet?? hmmm maybe its just me. i do have to admit that hawaii is seriously lacking on mex options so i will come back if cravings hit. but if you are taco aficionados, its not a place for you. i thinks kids will dig it.“
“Best Mexican food on Oahu!!I typically only review a place based off its food. But I can't help but share how kind and friendly the owners are! Excellent service and EVEN better food. I gotta say, it's been tough finding good Mexican food on Oahu. If you are in need of tasty tacos or big delicious burritos, this should be your new go to spot! I am so thankful to have found this taqueria!!“
“This a hidden gem! What a great experience! Hannah took our order and delivered an amazing meal with a beautiful atmosphere located in a cider bar. If you visit order the chicken and waffles:). All the food was absolutely perfect and delicious!“
“It was a nice day to eat outside on the pier. There was a nice breeze and the faint scent of the different cultural food variations cooking. I came after 4:30 on a Friday and not too many people were present. I ordered the Barbacoa Cachete Burrito. The burrito was huge!! It was filled with rice, beans and beef. It had salsa, but I wish it had just a bit more. The rice was nice and fluffy like Spanish rice should be. This burrito will need to be split even for the super hungry or half of it saved for another meal. Definitely coming back here. I am more than satisfied. I am ready for a nap.“
“Tuesdays you get 2 free tacos on the app with any order. Combine it with the 2 tacos for 99 cents (one of the app's digital exclusives) and that's 4 tacos for $1.04 after taxes. Great deal at a great price.Nice plaza seating area just outside, nicer than I inside the restaurant“
“Los tacos de birria son deliciosos. Tienen un sabor perfecto. La tortilla la cocinan con el consume. Igualmente los tacos the camarón son deliciosos. Si necesita un poco sabor de casa, La Piña Cantina le permite eso. Las margaritas tienen buen sabor y suficiente licor especialmente la Cadillac margarita. Adoro Hawaii pero después de tantos días, quiero unos buenos tacos y finalmente los encontré.“
“I love Alexandros because of the vegetarian options. The staff was friendly and the service was fast! As expected, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian tacos, Vegetarian burritos, and vegetarian quesadillas“
“This lady sure loves this market!Market Cocina is located inside Whole Foods Kahala Mall right beside the sandwich shop though sadly I overheard a conversation of someone asking if the sandwich shop is open only to hear it's only during the day due to staffing shortage.Gosh though after a days work I'm grateful for this market that serves up some yummy Burrito, Bowl and Tacos and it's easy as 1, 2 and 3!You start with your choice of vessel of Burrito, Bowl or Tacos which then you choose your protein of chicken, pork, steak or beyond beef then you top it all off of your choice of so many...for me it was everything but cilantro! For vegans there is Beyond Beef but toppings are noted with a symbols so that there is no question of what is allowed in their preferred meal. This bowl came in a massive box and was filled up beautifully! The staff here is just so friendly and super efficient so helpful as each dish is tailored differently it all made perfectly.Thank you!“
“This place was already awesome....but they delivered an extra sauce for aguachile that was missing from the order. One of the cooks personally delivered the missing sauce on Superbowl Sunday! Excellent customer service, wish I could give more stars!“
