“We wanted oxtails and the place we were supposed to go was closed for the week. So we landed here. I got oxtails, my husband got jerk chicken. We also got the beef empanadas. The empanadas were everything yelp said they were. Crisp and delicious. The oxtails were pretty good, a little heavy on the salt, but well seasoned. There was a hint of something burnt, so it probably stuck to the bottom of the pot while cooking, but it wasn't overwhelming the flavor of the dish itself. My husband LOVED his jerk chicken, no complaints of any sort. He said the people were nice and friendly. The food is a little salt heavy but I would visit again.“

“Best hidden gem that serves up Jamaican soul food, which portions are large enough to feed the family. Every time we come to eat here and pickup food we are treated like family and feel like the owners are offering their love and passion into their community and delicious food. Try the oxtail and jerk chicken!“

“Located in The Heart of China Town in Honolulu, we stumbled across Irie Jerk, a Jamaican Restaurant. In about a month we must have visited at least five times. The Mash Potatoes are the best I’ve tasted anywhere, Finger licking Good. We also tried the Oxtail, Jerk Chicken, Curry Chicken and Curry Goat, all served with a choice of rice and peas ,cabbage, Mac and cheese, are all delicious. Not only is the food excellent, the owner Cadeen and the staff are pleasant and courteous. I look forward to my next visit. If you are in Honolulu, please stop by Irie Jerk, you won’t be disappointed.“
