I appreciate what Kapa Hale is doing. It satisfies that niche of modern cuisine with a bit of american, hawaiian and asian fusion flavors. we had the cappacio, the vegetarian pasta, the crab puffs and the pork chops. all the dishes were good, but the crab puff wasn't impressive though, more like cream cheese stuffed samosas. Delightful dinner at Kala Hale! Every dish and every different item on each dish had distinct and complementary flavors and textures. Ahi special was excellent; holu lei salad crisp and tasty; desserts just right. Don’t miss the vanilla ice cream — often overlooked on menus but not here. And goes well with banana pudding. Friendly service, staff gave helpful information and smiles all around.
