“I eat here with my wife a few times a month and it’s always wonderful. The sushi quality is incredible, on par with some of the high end restaurants in Honolulu. Several of the interior design touches remind me of my trips to Japan, while having it shaded outdoors is very Maui. This place is special. The owners are kind too.“
“The food is okay, although they do have some exceptional ones that are really great. I really enjoyed the hamburger steak/ chicken cutlet combo plate.Parking: The location I went to is in Pukalani, and the parking lot at this strip mall is extremely tight. It's not uncommon for people to not park within the painted stalls. It's just accepted at that particular parking lot due to the extremely tight spacing. Everyone just understands it's necessary.“
“We have been stopping in at Sam Sato every visit to Maui since 2007; we enjoy every bit of each visit. The staff are friendly, the food is consistently good - we only ever order the dry noodles which are delicious, especially with the small bowl of broth, the beef sticks and the yakitori chicken. It is comfort food at it's best. The restaurant hasn't changed at all, and I'm ok with that, it adds to the ambiance of this local restaurant. Staff in February 2024 are so nice! The two ladies who serve tables work hard and are very friendly.“
“Crazy Tots were awesome, topped with kim chee aioli and furikake, GENEROUS portion and actually pretty mild flavors. Fish burger was nice; omit the harissa if you don't want any heat. It is basically in a gas station mini mart, though we had a nice view of the sunset.“
“Kalbi Na BbQ chicken is a must its yummy, especially with kimchee on the side. They are fast takin orders, and maybe the wait to prep is about 15min. Prices are going up. I'm not gonna lie about that, so I think it's time to add extra meat on the plate lunches. This place can get loud, so if you just want peace while eating, it's better to take it home. Definitely would recommend to e everyone so some Korean bbq meals.“
