NOT the same of the place anymore, don't let it confuse you like it did us! Came here for lunch today and enjoyed the views of the outside seating area. You get an awesome view of the ocean while you eat and drink. We had a few beers and then ordered some chips and salsa. My girlfriend fell in love with the chips, they were seriously great. Started and ended a long vacation at this Kona dive (It is open by the way! -- it's just called "Da Shark Shack" now) We just happened to stroll by and get sucked in by the open patio facing the gorgeous beach. The bartender was very friendly and attentive, graciously suggesting some sweet local spots to hit before we left the island.
