“The visit is pleasant, the lady explains all the processes to create their coffees. This visit is free and as a bonus you can taste their coffee flavors for free. Although expensive, it is possible to buy their coffee on site. For $10/group, no matter the number of people in your group, it is possible to take a short tour of part of their land. You don't see a ton of things there but it's still pleasant, especially considering the visit and the free coffee.“
“I had the frozen hot chocolate. I can't recommend enough of you like chocolate. It was perfect for a hot afternoon of exploring the island. The gift store had a ton of stuff to choose from. The employee that helped me at the register was very friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions about the drink I ordered plus the alcoholic ones I was hoping to get back to taste (alas I didn't make it back this trip). The chocolate is amazing. Haven't had an opportunity to try the drinking chocolate I brought back to the family yet. Looking forward to it though. Great atmosphere and additional seating upstairs if you don't want to sit at the bar or in a booth on display.“
“Happened across this place looking for a sunset dinner to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The food & service were incredible and we had the perfect table on the patio to watch the sunset. We tried the kahlua pork egg rolls, carpaccio of the day, dynamite fries, ahi tuna salad, macadamia hibachi chicken, poke bowl, poke tacos, ube oreo cheesecake. Everything was delicious, probably the best meal we’ve ever had on the 5 years we’ve been to Kona. Small venue so you should make a reservation or expect a wait. We parked in the paid lot across the street. Don’t miss this place!“
“We tried Lava Flow and Cherry Blossom shave ice creations, and each was huge and very delicious. Ice had a nice fluffy texture, and the cream snow caps were good. Lava flow was a bit citrusy, I liked the cherry blossom more as it was sweet and more mellow, plus the mochi and mac nut ice cream were amazing. Three of us shared the two shave ice creations, but one would have been enough since it was so big and worth the cost.“
“We were so happy to pick this spot for a coffee and chat before we departed. I loved my Ube cream foam cold brew. The kids had fun, the atmosphere is right up my alley and the kids shared a little vegan lemon cake. Lots nearby to walk to and parking was sufficient.“
“If you want to find Kona coffee shop and experience Kona coffee - this is Kona coffee shop that you need to visit. The shop Location is great, close to pier and other tourist attractions. Friendly and quick service. And the coffee drinks that we bought were actually really great and tasty.“
“Its a completely vegan and vegetarian restaurant located in the middle of a parking lot in Kona. The food options are amazing. Variety of vegan burgers, vegan pizzas and salads on the menu. We tried the taro burger and a pizza. Also this place has some amazing smoothies that you must try.The guy who took our order was really sweet.“
“What we loved: Wonderful Coffee. Quick friendly service. Great variety of crepes. Loved my Avocado & Bacon crepe. My husband enjoyed the BLT and scrambled egg crepe. On Saturdays when the farmers market is happening it will be busy. Short wait for a table. Price is comparable to other Kona breakfasts $16-20. So good.“
“This shop is a small counter-service spot with some outdoor seating available. The bowl was cool and refreshing, and the fruit toppings were fresh, but the açai base was too sweet for my liking and was likely store bought -- you couldn't taste the sourness that you'd get with a fresh base. There was a lot of granola, but it was a quality mix. The small (16oz) bowl came out to a little over $12 which is the cheapest I've seen on the downtown kona strip. Service was very quick and polite -- maybe only 3minutes between when I ordered and got my bowl. They also serve shaved ice and drinks, however I only tried the açai.“
“Very touristy stop to get coffee. Lots of offers to taste things and shelves of options to buy things for travelers. Service was great and very patient with my daughter changing her mind all the time.Kid-friendliness: Very patient with my daughter and they were sharing kids books with us while there.“
“Cute and awesome little shop on the main drag along the Kona waterfront. The store clerk was a young knowledgeable local who helped me choose just the right kind of coffee and size for the perfect gift! The coffee is family grown, and very fresh. They also have samples that you can try.“
“Beautiful view, best Loco Moco we had on the island, and friendly service. We were pleasantly surprised by how good our food was. My husband got the omelet with pineapple and Kalua pork and he said it was delicious. We’ll definitely come back next time we visit the island.“
“Presentation is super cute, and flavors are excellent. Great but expensive açaí & pitaya bowls, and fancy coffee options. Service is a bit slow and there’s not a lot of seating outside, but still an easily accessible spot along the main road along Kona coast.“
“Super friendly! Let us try all their drip coffee blends and Mac nut products. I ended up getting an iced americano and my partner got the coconut drip coffee. Best coffee we've had so far in Kona! Store was clean and they have cute outdoor bar seating with a great view.“
“Absolutely wonderful staff, the food was delicious! We got the ham and egg sandwich special, I got a Rocha mocha iced and oh my goodness I should have gotten a large! The atmosphere is super nice with indoor and outdoor seating on a nice corner of a little strip mall. Loved it, and if I'm in the area I will 100% be coming back!!“
“Awsome spot. View is amazing on the patio with sea view. There is enough shade to sit (in the morning at least). Coffe is good, barista is very friendly. Food is also great. I've had a egg bacon cheddar croissant and it's lovely. I would recommended going here. Even when it is just you alone.“
“Small, quaint, cozy shop. Found this place while doing a search for hot tea online, so we decided to give it a try. We weren't disappointed. We ordered a German breakfast, a ham & cheese croissant, a salmon baguette with pasta, hot rooibos vanilla tea, a mocha, and a strawberry summer iced tea. I enjoyed the little I had of my order, as my children's tasting led to them devouring it. Everyone enjoyed it.“
“This is the coffee shop you’ve been looking for. Exceptionally fresh, delicious, and a warm welcoming couple who are clearly very serious and passionate about coffee.Without question one of the best cups of coffee I have ever had. We feel so lucky to have met Matt and Lisa at BerryBird Coffee at the Ali’i Marketplace on Tuesday and we loved the coffee and our new friends so much we came back with the whole family on Thursday! My first visit we had the pour over grown in Hawaii, which was phenomenally smooth and rich. It left me thinking about it for the next two days.On our second trip we had pour overs of both their medium roast and a Columbian bean Matt was kind enough to share from his own personal supply! The family really enjoyed the espresso and vanilla bean latte, with the vanilla beans grown locally as well. Lisa made us a very refreshing cooler with some tea made from coffee pulp and a citrus jelly which was perfect on a warm day. We’ll definitely be back whenever we’re on Big Island! Thank you Matt and Lisa!“
“Excellent coffee and latte, excellent smoothie, excellent paninis. The pickles on the side were delicious. A little expensive, but pretty comparable pricing to everything else in Kona. Other places we ate were just as expensive and a little disappointing, Hungry Honu was not at all disappointing. Among all three sandwich and drink selections in our party, all were excellent.“
“I love this place!!!! Having Waimea coffee at our Hotel entrance is sooo convenient. The young man that runs it I think his name is AJ, he is so sweet. They offer some amazing coffee choices and delicious breakfast or lunch burritos. I had both and liked both. I once decided to cheat and try coffee at another "Corner" place and it was a mistake I would not make again. Here the coffee is the correct strength, flavor and choices are unlimited. They can make anything to your liking. I will miss this coffee.“
“We just went and ordered some of the hupai lattes (really good balance of sweetness with coconut flavor), a Monte Cristo, and the Sammie. The Monte Cristo was so damn good, I had to write this review immediately. Our friend that got the Sammie also said it was really good. The we really enjoyed the panini style toast on them and the fact that they just hit a spot without being too filling or not filling enough. Unfortunately, neither sandwich lasted long enough for a picture, hahaha. We will be coming back by to try the other sandwiches now for our stay. Mahalo.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free options“
“This place smells nice when you walk in and has good music playing. It's very clean, organized and the açaí bowl I had was BOMB. Great consistency, the fruit was perfectly ripe, and they added seeds and nuts for a nice crunch. Rachel was helpful and sweet and added to an already great experience. 10/10“
“We stopped in when we were on vacation just to try different things, and the lady in charge was very helpful letting me try different types and flavors of coffee. My wife really loved the frappe she made her and I was impressed enough to buy 2lbs of decaf Kona for my parents and a pound of pea berry for me. I had everything shipped home which they made very easy. The people are very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. Next time we’re in Kona we will be there.“
