“Happened upon this food truck in front of Windward Mall. I am a sucker for Pancit and have Pancit Bihon cravings and unfortunately, Kaneohe is lacking in Philipino restaurants. I ordered 7 piece pork lumpia and their Pancit Bihon. I also took a container of their spicy peanuts. The pancit bihon is exactly what I would expected from a food truck. Not the best, and not the worst that I have had. It was flavorful and the vegetables and cabbage were not cooked to death. However, the noodles are chopped too small. Chopping the noodles smaller makes mixing easier, but makes it harder to eat.The pork lumpia was also something I would expect from a food truck. There were parts that were crispy burnt and that just added to the charm and enjoyment of their lumpia. They provided a sweet chili dipping sauce which was tasty and left a little mouth tingle from the chili.I enjoy garlic vinegar sauce to pour over my pancit and also use it for dipping lumpia in as well. I asked if they had the garlic vinegar sauce and they did, which for me is a bonus and shows they are a little more authentic. When I got home to eat, I was also happy to see they included some calamansi which again is a bonus and shows they are a little more authentic. I did cut a few calamansi from my tree to add extra citrus bling. The unexpected surprise was the container of toasted peanuts and dehydrated peas. It was much more tasty than I expected. Nice seasoning and great spice blend.“
“We went to Panda Express about 20 minutes before closing and didn't have high expectations about what food would be left and basically went in with the idea of settling for what was left. They were almost out of lots of dishes but the girl at the counter asked if we were willing to wait 8 minutes for a fresh batch of noodles and chow fun and we did they also made us a fresh batch of whatever food we wanted that was out. I did not expect them to do that and we were extremely grateful. The customer service was outstanding“
“I've been to Hawaii twice, and I've eaten here 11 times. It's the best udon I've ever had. The portions are well sized and there are several options and sides. The staff is incredibly hospitable. The price is fair for the quality and amount of food. I will be coming back every time I visit this beautiful island.Parking: Paid parking is around the area, but not directly where the restaurant isWheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible, it's on the ground floor“
“I celebrated my 33rd birthday here and it was amazing!!! Ke-von, our server, was absolutely incredible & very knowledgeable about the menu. He made my birthday very special & memorable. Mika was also amazing & the management was very attentive. Our glasses were never empty! The food was phenomenal - highly recommend the miso butterfish & whole crispy fish!! Thank you !!! ? “
“4.0 is too low a rating.I went a few days ago and ate kimchi stew, japchae, and ribs, and it was all so delicious. Today, I ate soft tofu stew and stir-fried pork again, and it was so delicious that I am writing a review for the third time in my life. The owner and employees are also very nice~“
“I attended a baby shower for my nephew and his wife, who flew in from CA. My other nephew and his family (who live in Maui) hosted the party for about 30 family members in a private room upstairs. It's been years since my last visit here, and I remember the food always being good, and it was. We had a choice of different entrees, and I chose the Miso Butterfish. Some others had chicken karaage, but they all were delicious. They were served "Teishoku" style, so included a salad, miso soup, tempura, and six pieces of California roll. There was also vanilla ice cream for dessert. The service was good, with just two or three servers for our room. They took care of us and made sure our water and hot tea were kept filled. We were allowed two hours for our party, and although we went slightly long (what local family gathering doesn't?), we never felt rushed or pressured to clean up or leave. It's a pretty popular dining spot, especially among the local Japanese, but anyone who likes good Japanese food will find it enjoyable.“
“The place has changed a lot in the 7 years since I've been here. First, it's no longer in the pagoda (that's now a Russian/Korean restaurant)! So, no more views of the koi pond as you eat. The food was good, and the portions large, but still a bit salty for my taste. The service, I must say, was outstanding. All the staff were attentive and friendly.“
“Second time here and ordered the salmon poke and spicy ahi over half hapa rice and half salad. And the icing on the cake, shrimp tempura! They offered a fountain drink with purchase too! Wow!! Very fresh fish and presented very well with the perfect portion size. So important even with poke bowls. It has to be the right amount of rice to fish. Flavors were on par and one of better poke places on island!! They do get busy but they give great customer service and knows how to handle their customers. Can't wait to dig in again!“
