The food truck is located at this awesome little farm tucked away off Hana highway. BYOB alcohol, great for the kids to be able to run around, great maui vibes. Truly a special special gem of a spot.“
“What a lovely gem in Paia. Great location and very warm and inviting. Services was really good and very friendly. The sushi was really tasty, my husband had that and me as a vegetarian had the Blackend Tofu. I realize food is pricey in Maui however charging the same for the tofu dish as fresh fish was a bit much. But it was and excellent dish.“
“We enjoyed this restaurant very much. With a party of 17 it can be a challenge to serve so many efficiently. The staff excelled at their jobs serving delicious plates quickly with Aloha. The sushi chef is superb and the whole atmosphere here was joyful and welcoming. A must try... the Ube Creme Brulee. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend others to give it a try too!“
“This place was one of the last places we went to. The pastries were all amazing. We tried 3 different kinds because they do sell out pretty fast. I would come here when they first open in order to get your first picks. If you come later on, there might not be any left for the day. They also have ready to go meals in case you want a quick meal. Good service. You can find nearby parking. Prices are economical.“
“We have heard from many people this is a great restaurant and were able to finally pay a visit. It is small, and so getting here early is key to a short wait time. The service and food was delicious. Between the four of us, we were able to sample several different rolls and shared some of the homemade ice cream for desert. “Popped by for the end of the day takeout just an hour before they closed up. Sadly we missed out on the chow fun and several of their sides but the sizeable platters were still very good. Almost a semi-rural Japanese town vibe as you walk up and order from outside and grab your bag to walk away through the tight knit streets.“
“We have been stopping in at Sam Sato every visit to Maui since 2007; we enjoy every bit of each visit. The staff are friendly, the food is consistently good - we only ever order the dry noodles which are delicious, especially with the small bowl of broth, the beef sticks and the yakitori chicken. It is comfort food at it's best. The restaurant hasn't changed at all, and I'm ok with that, it adds to the ambiance of this local restaurant. Staff in February 2024 are so nice! The two ladies who serve tables work hard and are very friendly.“

“Hooray for another Japanese food option on Maui! This one serving probably 50% sushi, which I don't think I've seen anyone do besides just having 1 or 2 rolls on their menu. Located on the food truck lot across Costco. We tried the unagi donburi & gyoza. The donburi is served with an avocado salad. Unagi was well seasoned with a tasty sauce. The gyoza was nice & crispy & served with a sweeter sauce. Filling was good & pretty generous. Pricing was reasonable. There was a bit of a wait, which is understandable for this type of food, so plan accordingly. Definitely need to come back & try the sushi!“
“I can have their soba everyday!!It’s a very calming and beautiful space. My auntie and I had a warm soba with Kamo, the duck. The meat was so tender and flavorful. We finished our lunch with a Soba Cream Brûlée. So good!!Wabisabi is a must try while you are on Maui!!“
