“Even if you’re on the west side of the island, it’s worth the drive over just to visit this place! It’s the nicest gift shop and art shop, with the most beautiful gardens—be sure to walk through the “secret garden”—and fabulous meals, fresh and organic. They have signs on the tables of hand crafted sculptures, jewelry and such saying “Please touch!”“
“Perhaps the best brunch this side of the island. Maybe the whole island, IDK I don't go to Kona. But seriously, banging bloody mary's and the best eggs benny, french toast, crab cake benny, corned beef hash...excellent service too, always excellent and homey at the same time. The manager Kevin is super chill, too. Only place I go for Mother's day, Birthday, Valentine's, Xmas time drinks and walks. I love it. Oh yea, and anniversaries, father's day, memorial day, labor day. And Sundays. Sunday's are my jam here. I love it so much.“
“My husband and I are wine lovers and enjoy tasting wines that are unique. This place was super unique and fit the bill of what we were looking for on the island. Truly a great set of staff. We enjoyed several hours of conversation, and fell for the tea infusion wine. We enjoyed ourselves and purchased several bottles to ship home. Definitely agree with previous reviews that the red wine Pinot noir is nothing to compare to California or Europe, but found the strong players to be the guava infused/tea infused. Would definitely come again if in the area.“

“We stopped here on our way home from the volcano park and grabbed takeout. Super yummy! We got the Thai curry special and pad Thai, both were amazing. We asked for them to be a little spicy and boy were they, so be careful what you ask for! Still delicious!“

“Ōhelo Cafe is a Volano café that more than deserves its five stars. I had been under the impression that it was a vegetarian / vegan restaurant and boy was I wrong. My cousin has been visiting and we didn't wanna really drive back into town and so she suggested Ōhelo. I was hesitant because of what I had heard, but I knew I could find something on the menu. Well, it does serve all kinds of food. My cousin had the most delicious Bacon Guava Burger, and I had the margarita pizza with mildly spicy Italian sausage. Both items were really really delicious especially the pizza. I'm very happy to know that there is a place close to me or I can get some inventive food that tastes great. The Good: Fairly priced delicious food in the neighborhood The Bad: you can't order burgers at dinner time. And parking can be limited unless you park in the unpaved lot next-door. Chances I'll Be Back: YES! another option in Volcano. Delicious food can't wait to try more out on the menu.“

“Wife and I recently discovered this food truck via “happy cows” website for vegan/vegetarian food. Maybe one of the best values on the Big Island! Food is made to order - so you can get spicy versus typical “sweet” here. Portion sizes are very generous. All very fresh ingredients. My pad thai (choice of meats or tofu) was great. Enjoy!“
