“Had a large party eat here recently. All of the food and drinks were exceptional especially the risotto appetizer and the macadamia nut mahi. Staff was very nice and had great suggestions. Will definitely be going back and recommending to others“

“Love this innovative & popular restaurant! The ambiance & vibe is artsy & fun! You'll find Gabe behind the extensive whiskey bar creating awesome cocktails. The food - from starters (such as brussel sprouts, carrots & mac&cheese balls), to all the entrees is consistently fantastic with multiple layers of flavor & is perfectly seasoned. Our favorites are the fresh fish (usually Ono or Mahi Mahi), pub steak & lamb chops. The bread pudding is my favorite dessert, though the cheesecake is pretty awesome. This restaurant has become our favorite for date nights & our first choice to share with visiting family & friends! I highly recommend reservations!“

“I work in princeville, but I live in Kapaa, so when I am too lazy to make dinner I'll come here for tacos. To be honest, this Paco's Tacos location is a lot better than the other ones on the island. They are fast with orders (I usually all ahead and they will be ready by the time I reach Kilauea). I get the al pastor tacos, beans, and rice. They taste great!“

“Wife and I recently discovered this food truck via “happy cows” website for vegan/vegetarian food. Maybe one of the best values on the Big Island! Food is made to order - so you can get spicy versus typical “sweet” here. Portion sizes are very generous. All very fresh ingredients. My pad thai (choice of meats or tofu) was great. Enjoy!“

“Even if you’re on the west side of the island, it’s worth the drive over just to visit this place! It’s the nicest gift shop and art shop, with the most beautiful gardens—be sure to walk through the “secret garden”—and fabulous meals, fresh and organic. They have signs on the tables of hand crafted sculptures, jewelry and such saying “Please touch!”“
“This is our family's favorite destination in Volcano- Accommodations are clean and welcoming, and the restaurant has never disappointed! Brunch, lunch or dinner will leave your palate pleased and your appetite fulfilled. Our goto dishes are eggs benedict, hamburger & fries, and the iceberg bleu cheese salad and every dessert has been a delight! Book The Cottage for a stand-alone room.Rooms: Love the gas fireplace option, so easy to just flip the switch for warmth and ambiance!Safety: Better than camping in the National Park, the Lodge offers a full staff and the safety and convenience of guest parking.Noteworthy details: Don't miss their short trail through tree ferns and wild orchids. Be sure to bring closed-toe shoes for utmost safety.“
“My husband and I are wine lovers and enjoy tasting wines that are unique. This place was super unique and fit the bill of what we were looking for on the island. Truly a great set of staff. We enjoyed several hours of conversation, and fell for the tea infusion wine. We enjoyed ourselves and purchased several bottles to ship home. Definitely agree with previous reviews that the red wine Pinot noir is nothing to compare to California or Europe, but found the strong players to be the guava infused/tea infused. Would definitely come again if in the area.“

“Thai Thai Bistro and Bar is a solid spot for tasty Thai cuisine. Their pad thai is an absolute standout - perfectly cooked noodles with a sweet-savory sauce that hits all the right notes. But it's not just the pad thai that impresses. From the flavorful curries loaded with fresh veggies and tender proteins to the zingy larb salads, the dishes really deliver on authentic Thai flavors. The bistro has a lively, modern vibe too. My only minor gripe is that a couple of the appetizers seemed a tad lackluster in comparison to the excellent entrees. Overall though, Thai Thai is delicious and well worth a visit for Thai food lovers.“

“We chose Ohelo Cafe for a meal on Monday mainly because we liked the menu and it was open.Seated quickly without a reservation. We were fortunate as the cafe gets busy, so book in advance is our recommendation.Great wine ? and beer ? choices. Both our dishes were delicious. The ribs were a sizeable portion and fruity sauce went well with them.Sadly no room for dessertHighly recommended if you are in the Volvano area.Parking: A few spaces outside cafe, and we parked on area next door“

“Great meal and wonderful service. Spectacular views of the crater. One word of warning: we split the bill, but the suggested tips on the receipt reflected the total, not the half. We fell for it and overtipped. It was great service, but not that great“

“We had a great breakfast here - the Hawai'ian bread French toast sent my daughter into orbit. My pancake short stack was definitely filling, and my husband's Loco Moco breakfast was exactly what he wanted. Service was outstanding, friendly and attentive. Our server even went next door to get me a cappuccino. Nothing fancy here, just dependable and tasty food.“

“The ahi burrito was one of my favorite things that I've eaten on Kauai so far! Sushi girl is located in a cool little area right off of the main road with fun shops next door. We loved the vibe of the setup, the menu, and the location. Very reasonably priced as well!“
