“We truly enjoyed the dining experience. The food, the service, the atmosphere all were great. Our server Faye (who’s worked for the company for 12 years) was wonderful. She gave great recommendations and was truly lovely. It was our anniversary and everyone wished us a happy anniversary. It was such a nice dining experience. Would definitely visit again.“

“We were happy we made it before closing time. The service was very accommodating and the food was delicious. The food came out fast, I could see the kitchen working hard. They were very busy at 7:30pm and closes at 8pm. Seems like a popular spot. Affordable prices.“

“They renovated the inside and it is light and airy but I kinda miss the u-shaped counter and the cow cow poster, you know kau kau. I am not a pancake girl but that pancake as one of my sides was light, fluffy and delicious. If you are an egg person their yolks are orange when you break into them. Portuguese sausage good and not greasy. You will be really full when you have breakfast here so skip lunch and have a good dinner!“

“Top notch meats and creative dishes makes this place an amazing place to find. Traveling from Kona Airport to Helo which is the scenic way but longer way around, was well worth the trip finding this grub hub. I would love to dine here again and again tasting everything at least one, well maybe twice!Staff was above others every way. Attentive but not bothersome and for me that is such a plus when dining.“

“This little food truck is a gem. It moves around, but you can follow their social media or call to see where it will be. We tracked them down one night at the Hanapepe Friday Night Festival & Art Night, but they were already out of Kalbi. We decided to wait and try them on another day. We found the truck in Wailua and ordered the Kalbi, pork belly with white rice and fried saimin and the Kalua pork with Korean BBQ chicken, white rice and fried saimin. The man working alone in the truck is the owner and he was very friendly. We called in our order ahead of time so we didn't have to wait very long for our order. It was hot and the portions were huge. But most importantly, it was excellent! The price was very good too for the amount of food we got. We sure had delicious leftovers! If you enjoy a good, hearty meal, give the HOKU food truck a try. You won't be sorry. There was only one picnic table to sit at (which was occupied) so we ate in our car at the peaceful Pa'ula'ula Historic Site free parking lot down the street. We will surely seek Hoku's out again in the future.“
“Enjoyed our meal at Big Island Brewhaus however it is definitely more pricey than other restaurants in the area for the meals you get. The food is delicious but would not necessarily recommend unless you were just going for the beers. Our waitress was lovely and very kind.“

“Our family group of about seven went here upon local recommendations. The kids gobble down the fries, and the adults ate the burgers and the fish tacos. Service was quick and friendly. It's a well-known local place that everybody loves, and there's a reason! The food was delicious! We went back several times during our stay to experience it.Must go!!“
“Fun little place to find up in the mountains. And wow the Portuguese stew was delicious and they make a mighty good bloody Mary. The woman that worked at the bar was also a delight to chat with... Took her a little time I think to trust us, I'm sure there's a lot of tourists that come through but everybody was very nice and friendly. It was a great stop and glad we had the experience.“

“We got there right when they opened and lined came in through... that's when you know it's good. It's been awhile since I was here but I was craving meat Jun (#1) so badly !If you're k-pop fans they were jamming some kpop.If you dine in there are a few tables to eat at! You have to bus your own tables, they have the dish station in the front to the left. They had the daily bread in Korean which was cool to just see something in Korean. The menu is so nicely written out, and it's in both English AND Korean which is cool to see.The staff is busy, but patient with all of us.3 veggies! Faves are jap chae, seaweed, bean sprouts.Parking: It's a mini outdoor shopping complex, so with a multitude of businesses depending on the time it could be crowded or you'll have to go around a few times to find a spot.“

“Awesome little place coming from the North through Waimea. After a long day and drive through Volcano’s National Park, this place hit the spot. ***CASH ONLY*** The two large Boston-style pizzas were delicious and filling. They also have a sonic crushed ice maker for their drinks! Great value and pricing for the whole family and there’s a few tables to sit inside. Ample parking on the side. Will definitely return!“

“This was our third night in the last 30 days eating at the restaurant. It was our best meal. We sat outside just after sunset which was very nice. Looking at all the beautiful colors. We asked our server to slow roll our experience. So we felt much less rushed along compared to our other two meals. I had the Thai shrimp and scallops which was an excellent light fresh dish. Overall was a very nice experience.“

“The food was fresh, hot, and delicious! Best small spot in Waimea- don't let the name fool you- no booze at Da Booze- just food that is so ono! Went back twice. Ladies cooking the food fresh while singing along to the music station and loving their day- it was the best kind of local experience. Excellent service, so seriously good burgers and kekahott chicken. YESSSSSS- Go here!“

“After being at the beach we were starving and came to Jade Palace for a late lunch. We are vegetarian, and they had a bunch of items that we good choose from on the menu. The food was tasty, the atmosphere casual and it was an overall good experience.“

“Wow the food was amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a meal as much in my entire life. I wanted to order more! I was skeptical as first as I wanted sushi but wasn’t sure what exactly I what to order. But my wife and I split Ramen and the “Nami-Bara-chirashi” and it was mind blowing! You have to try this place!“
“Food truck located at the Midweek Farmer's Market (on Wednesdays). Definitely wish we knew about the ordering ahead, because it takes forever, but it's certainly worth the wait. The Reuben is unbelievably tasty. One of the best we've ever had. Pro tip: If you wanna make the most of your time, hit up Red Barn right when you get to the Market; place your order; and then bop around the market as there are some unique vendors that you can't find anywhere else. The people working the truck are super nice and friendly. Thank you“

“We have been back from vacay in Hawai’i for almost a month and I still think about our wonderful server and the great experience we had here. I rarely write reviews but I had to write a review for this experience. I truly believe staff makes or breaks a dining experience and our server Aloha was one of the kindest and most beautiful souls. We had shown up at a busier time for dinner . We had been sitting for a little while before Aloha could get to us. We were enjoying the sunset sitting outside . We had no problem waiting a bit. I could tell she was a bit flustered knowing we had been seated for a little while and that alone showed the care she has for her tables. We greeted her warmly and the tension seemed to ease in her face. She was so knowledgeable about the menu and explained the best dishes for our preferences. Her recommendations were spot on and the food was DELICIOUS! My fiancé had the fried rice and I had the poke burger. It was SO SO DELICIOUS ! Not to mention this restaurant is SO CUTE! The atmosphere is a total tiki vibe. We had the coconut ice cream and I said it was everything I had ever dreamed of ? cause it was . A huge thann you to Aloha for her kindness and care to us while we were there. If you go ask for her!“

“Best mahi mahi tacos I’ve had in a while. Their shrimp burrito was great too (tortilla was a bit oily but I think that’s a feature). Dirty rice and refried beans were incredible and tasted good. Went there right before closing time (around 2:30pm) post Waimea canyon trip. There was still a few people ahead of us ordering. Seating was a bit tight. Highly recommend this place if you are near the Waimea area.“

“Found this place on our last day unfortunately! we would have ate here everyday if we would have known how good it was, some of the best food we had our entire visit here. We had the breakfast sandwich with bacon and spicy mayo, and regular waffle with the best whip cream and butter, ube latte, and peanut butter açaí bowl. You could tell the food was made with care.“

“Five stars for Napua at Mauna Lani Beach Club! Initially, I was a tad hesitant due to the limited lunch menu, but any reservations quickly dissipated with the first bite. The quality of everything we ordered was absolutely superb, with each dish beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. What truly sets Napua apart, though, is its unbeatable beachside setting. Dining with the sound of waves gently breaking in the background and a panoramic view of the ocean was an experience in itself. While parking can be a bit tricky, the effort to find a spot is a small price to pay for the incredible atmosphere and exceptional dining experience that awaits. Napua has masterfully combined high-quality cuisine with a breathtaking location, making it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to indulge in the best of Hawaii's natural beauty and culinary excellence.“
