My girlfriend and I are from Canada on vacation in Maui and decided to dine at Black rock pizza. Staff was super friendly and welcoming, manager cared about our dining experience… we were not disappointed. Super super amazing quality pizza. Best I’ve ever had. Waiter was so sweet, great at her newly modified job...(again) she introduced us to the sushi chefs and they all waved and threw shaka Our food was so epic, fast, tasty and well prepared. We just loved it so much that we had to go again!!Serves vegetarian/Vegan options along with gluten free so it was a bliss for us!!Their wraps are so so deliciously that I bet you can’t just have one!!!We tried all the 3 vegan wraps - the caprese, the Valerie and the flo!! And they all tasted amazing. We also tried the bowls, we ordered twice the “gurl in curl” bowl and it was just awesome. The place is also cute and the ppl taking and serving the order are very sweet. We also ordered chai tea latte and it was good too. Overall I don’t think so anything in the menu is not good here as each time it was fully crowded with ppl sitting outside and inside both.Good thing is that it opens up early and it’s a perfect place for breakfast. The fruits were fresh In the fruit bowls and the mermaid bowl looked too cute to miss. Overall a must must try place. Highly recommend it to everyone, specially to vegetarian/vegan folks.“

“Very well located in the South Maui Gardens in a sweet and relaxing atmosphere with plenty of food choices around this vendor offers the must delicious twist (smooth and sweet) on Shave Ice I tried. Condensed milk and good quality add ons. Let the milk infuse a couple of minutes over the refreshing ice core. Fruits around and toppings add texture and taste. Simply delicious. Went twice and my favorite was the individual size with condensed milk, lychee and peach for fruits. Tried Ube as well (fun factor) but surprisingly preferred the condensed milk. Minute difference though so enjoy the color you want. Service is great, but Just beware of hours as I was successful 2 twice but tried another 2 times and they closed at least 1 hour+ earlier than hours displayed at their shop. Still worth the effort, go indulge one of their threats.“

“We didn't know what to expect from my research about the place online. It is kinda pricey, but my rule is always to add $5 to what you would expect to pay because it is Hawai'i. I was intrigued by their Lobster Mac'cheese and their crab cake panini. The place looks like it is more frequented by locals when they are celebrating a special occasion. Everyone knew to bring in or go to the store across the street to purchase wine. I did hear a waitress say there is a $5 per bottle corking fee. My husband ordered a hamburger and it was so big he couldn’t get his mouth around it even after squishing it. The fries that came with it were done just right. My crab cake panini was good and came with a huge Cesare salad. I ate the very good salad and brought the rest of my panini with me. I was a little disappointed with The Lobster Mac’n cheese. It tasted excellent but the choice of Mac noodles surprised me. They were huge and long rolls of pasta. It was difficult to eat. I would have preferred a smaller noodle with more surface area to soak up the delicious sauce. The cheese sauce was a bit soupy. It was a little loud inside when all the tables were full. Our waiter didn’t seem like he liked his job, but he warmed up to us by the end. The hostess and the gentleman with the beard were very very friendly and attentive. I’m not a fan of eating with dogs, so I’m guessing they are pet friendly. They have an inventive way of handling dessert. You will be definitely full at the end of this meal, so they had individual desserts wrapped to go in a refrigerator showcase so you didn’t have to miss out if you saw something appealing. One person was celebrating a birthday and the waiter brought the cake over in a container with a lit candle poked in the top. We’ll be back next year, with our own wine ready!“

“My wife and I dined at Ko on May 3, 2024. We had a lovely outside table location with fabulous views of the Kea Lani resort and ocean front. Service was excellent - attentive without being intrusive. We shared the chicken and mushroom lumpia appetizer which was very good and something different. For our main course, we had the fresh catch fish, with each of us trying a different preparation option (lemongrass coconut broth, grilled island catch). Wine selection options were very good - we shared a bottle of Rombauer chardonnay which went well with the fish. We finished off with a shared dessert of house made banana bread and a glass of port. Overall, an excellent dining experience. We look forward to going back!“

“My husband and I were recommended this by multiple people while we were in Maui briefly and were so glad we went! The prices, compared to what we have been used to, we felt were reasonable. My husband had the Deep Fried spam Musubi and the Bento Box while I had the Garlic Chicken. We had a lot of food, I would recommend maybe ordering together if you don’t always eat big meals (like myself). The staff were nice too! It’s a small location and we spent maybe 45 minutes to eat here. If we have the opportunity to visit Maui again, we’d likely stop here!Parking: It’s a large lot with many stores, it’s not hard to find parking but it may not be very close especially because this location is in a corner“

You then look at the sheer number of choices that you have and it takes a few minutes before you can decide. Each flavor is handmade and you can taste the time and the care that goes into each one. I tried the chicken curry and it was very good, however, very different from typical curry and that it was not spicy nor did it really have a heavy curry flavor. But nonetheless it was delicious and tasted like authentic Thai.“
