50 Best Vegan Restaurants near Kula

“We didn't know what to expect from my research about the place online. It is kinda pricey, but my rule is always to add $5 to what you would expect to pay because it is Hawai'i. I was intrigued by their Lobster Mac'cheese and their crab cake panini. The place looks like it is more frequented by locals when they are celebrating a special occasion. Everyone knew to bring in or go to the store across the street to purchase wine. I did hear a waitress say there is a $5 per bottle corking fee. My husband ordered a hamburger and it was so big he couldn’t get his mouth around it even after squishing it. The fries that came with it were done just right. My crab cake panini was good and came with a huge Cesare salad. I ate the very good salad and brought the rest of my panini with me. I was a little disappointed with The Lobster Mac’n cheese. It tasted excellent but the choice of Mac noodles surprised me. They were huge and long rolls of pasta. It was difficult to eat. I would have preferred a smaller noodle with more surface area to soak up the delicious sauce. The cheese sauce was a bit soupy. It was a little loud inside when all the tables were full. Our waiter didn’t seem like he liked his job, but he warmed up to us by the end. The hostess and the gentleman with the beard were very very friendly and attentive. I’m not a fan of eating with dogs, so I’m guessing they are pet friendly. They have an inventive way of handling dessert. You will be definitely full at the end of this meal, so they had individual desserts wrapped to go in a refrigerator showcase so you didn’t have to miss out if you saw something appealing. One person was celebrating a birthday and the waiter brought the cake over in a container with a lit candle poked in the top. We’ll be back next year, with our own wine ready!“

“Mother's Day Buffet had lots of options for the whole family. Bread pudding French toast, bacon, green bean salad and lavender lemon tarts were amazing! Staff was friendly and welcoming. “I don’t care for lobster but want to! So I try it over and over again not to like it. Everyone else loves it.. I want to! anyway.. I found THEE/MY lobster dish! “I visited the Flatbread Company on February 13, 2024, and found it to be a wonderful spot for breakfast. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches, both of which were filling and very tasty. The flavors were well-balanced, and the portions left us perfectly satisfied.In the morning, the place was relatively quiet, providing a calm and pleasant setting to enjoy our meal. The location itself is quite unique, occupying a corner of an old factory that has been sectioned off and repurposed. It's shared with artisans who create surfboards and furniture, adding an interesting backdrop to the experience.The combination of good food, a distinctive environment, and peaceful morning ambiance made this visit a memorable one. We just loved it so much that we had to go again!!Serves vegetarian/Vegan options along with gluten free so it was a bliss for us!!Their wraps are so so deliciously that I bet you can’t just have one!!!We tried all the 3 vegan wraps - the caprese, the Valerie and the flo!! And they all tasted amazing. We also tried the bowls, we ordered twice the “gurl in curl” bowl and it was just awesome. The place is also cute and the ppl taking and serving the order are very sweet. We also ordered chai tea latte and it was good too. Overall I don’t think so anything in the menu is not good here as each time it was fully crowded with ppl sitting outside and inside both.Good thing is that it opens up early and it’s a perfect place for breakfast. “Travis was our guy, so friendly an chill offered great choices and had such a nice smile. Bar service was amazing. Food was exceptional tender calamari with a dipping sauce recommended by Travis was what brought us back a 2nd time. And the burger. Wow. My husband is a chef and it made him very happy. “We tried this local favorite during lunch on our trip and boy were we happy. Fish taco, shrimp taco and fish and chips were all delicious. The shrimp taco had a light clean and vibrant flavor profile while the fish taco was super fresh and very full of flaky white fish. Calamari is unlike traditional versions with thick light pieces in a perfectly seasoned breading that made it feel fresh and not too heavy. Highly recommend for an easy grab and sit lunch on the island“

“My friend and I were grabbing some new plant babies from South Maui Gardens and needed something to cool us down. We were excited to try Bling Bing for the first time. Unfortunately, the staff working was a very unenthused young man who looked like he wanted to get back to his phone rather than answer our questions. I would have given them 5 stars had it not been for the lackluster customer service. The shave ice was delicious. We got the ube condensed milk, which was amazing. We topped that off with the lychee popping boba and pineapple. Although there was a lot of plain ice in the middle, we just had to mix it all together. The ube condensed milk was sweet enough to flavor all of the shave ice. If you're cruising in the area, I definitely recommend!“

We were quite tired and hungry without a doubt after our haleakala visit and this place was the perfect choice for the vegetarian hearty meals we were craving.The Indian Tamil spiced curry with mango chutney was flavorful and it was warm and refreshing at the same time.We checked out the restaurant for the lentil based pancake and it was better than we expected. The mujadra mediterranean inspired lentil with tomato/onion mix in the soft crispy crepe style covering was amazing. I highly recommend this dish.“

“Wow did we miss this shaved ice place. This brand is our absolute favorite and we always look forward to it when we are in Maui. Typically we used to visit their Lahaina location but we now visited this location. We were able to stop by twice during our visit and neither time did they disappoint. The flavors are top notch. The ice is top notch, the service of the associates and their ability to make the shaved ice quickly is all top notch. They have a single picnic table so there is limited space to sit but people don't mind as only a few people sit. It was all around a great experience.“

“This is a unique place. But I will start by saying this had the best food I had in Maui by far. Food is just spot on great.The dining area is in a open garage area. You order online, there isn't a server or anything and then the food gets brought up to a window and your name gets called. So not exactly a sit down restaurant with waiters but it does have space to sit (or takeout).The food though. I had drunken noodles. So good. My wife had pad Thai and iced coffee and also loved it. Also appreciated was the ability to double noodles and get a fried egg for extra.Vegetarian options: It's Thai and the menu reflects the vegetarian options. Ton of tofu and veggies that you can pick, most items can be made vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: Wife is gluten free, the menu is clearly labeled and let's you select gluten free. I ended up with the coconut flavor and it had such a great flavor but not too overpowering which was nice. We walked in and we were so warmly welcomed that we felt like we had been coming there for years. The shop is so bright and airy and they have a nice assortment of flavors. No matter which one you choose, you won't be disappointed. This is a great local business to support by picking up some gelato and enjoying it as you walk down the street of this beautiful beach front town.“

“Came here for my birthday dinner, the food and drinks were excellent. Our server John was very kind and friendly and the ambience was great as well. We ordered the grilled octopus salad and the burrata dish for starters. I got the shrimp fettuccine and my boyfriend got the chicken and waffles which came with black sesame mochi waffles that were excellent. For drinks I got the something tropical which was a very refreshing mocktail with coconut cream, and my boyfriend got the lilikoi daiquiri which was equally great. I love how this restaurant has an emphasis on farm-to-table dishes and highlights local farms. This is a great place to watch sunset on Maui and was a highlight of our trip.“
