“I'm not going to rate lower than what I believe it should be rated, however, if I could rate based on each individuals performance, wednesday nights are not the night to come out. Really need to observe all around instead of socializing with just one group of people. Or have another employee working. Sorry. Just my opinion. Thanks.“

“Great place to eat for a casual dinner! Applebees is known to have a large variety of different foods from pasta to burgers. There’s something that anyone can enjoy! Service was fantastic! Even though they made a mistake during our last visit, they provided a discount for inconvenience and remedy the problem in a timely manner. The staff that served us was very friendly and assisted all of our wants during our stay! I highly recommend the bourbon mushroom meals such as the bourbon mushroom Swiss burger! Out of all of the mushroom Swiss burgers I ate so far, Applebees provides the best by far! I believe it’s their signature sauce that provides a rich and unique flavor for their bourbon mushroom meals! There’s a reason the popular song that you all know mentions the bourbon steak. ?Parking: I never have a hard time finding a parking spot. Plenty of spots available during a Saturday night.Kid-friendliness: Many kid food options available and friendly atmosphere for children.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible parking and entrances are available.“

“We've never had anything but a good experience here. Staff are attentive, food is really good (considering it's a restaurant inside a hotel) and it's always a fun atmosphere. Went Saturday night and the place was busy with Iowa Hawkeye fans. Even with the busyness, service was quick. And never pass up dessert, the donuts are delicious“

SudSuckers Sports Bar • $$

“It definitely has changed from when I have been there years ago, but it's definitely for the better. Whe. You walk in its nice and open on the right to have conversations you can hear and pool tables on the right. It now has a jukebox (it's what I still call it) and no longer a stage. You can tell that business is not as busy since the changes, hopefully it picks back up for whoever the brave bar owner is. The bar staff ,she was happy, honest and just plain people's, with drinks with perfect mixtures, that make you feel relaxed and at home.“

“We have been coming to Chicken Coop for months on Thursdays for trivia and it is the highlight of our week! From their food (more specifically the boneless wings ? but never been disappointed with anything we’ve ordered) to the service we are more than satisfied every week!!! It has quickly turned into our go-to place on not just Thursday nights, but any night we are looking for some good food and a place to host our friends! Thank you Chicken Coop for being an always consistent and great place to be! And a special shout out to Julie for being so attentive and patient with our big group!!“

County Line Tap Bar • $
10894 County Line Rd, Des Moines

“I'm not sure why this place is flagged as closed. Could be a possible name change or new ownership? Anyway, it was a great experience and glad it's open! They had your typical full bar, bottles of crisp domestics, and a handful of beers on tap. Including a rotating seasonal beer and this time of year it was Shiner Cheer! It is cash only, but no worries there, as they do offer an ATM in the back. We had such a great time making conversation with some of the friendly regulars and having a couple rounds we decided it was probably a good idea to get some food in our stomachs. They had build your own pizzas with about every topping you would expect and also 4 specialty pizzas. We chose the Cheeseburger and it did not disappoint. It came out PERFECT with one pickle slice per square. I'll admit I didn't expect much from a dive bar, and was thoroughly impressed. Definitely will return!“
