“Absolutely amazing service today! Cael was our server, we asked many questions as it was our first time ever being there. Anything he was unsure of, he didn't hesitate to go find out the answer and let us know! He was very accommodating to our party of 6 plus our daughter in a highchair. We then got to meet the owner! He came to our table to make sure everything was great and asked how he could assist! We got on the subject of the boom boom sauce in which he let us know it had a bit of kick. We then got to taste test the Chili that was AMAZING! He came back to let us know his additional specials he serves throughout the week. He mentioned meatloaf, which is my absolute favorite thing! He proceeds to bring out a peice of meatloaf for us to try and take with us. I wore jeans today and not my stretchy pants! I was busting at the seams walking out of there with plenty to take home just from our regular order!! I can't wait to share this mom and pop restaurant with so many others!! keep up the great work and making everyone that walks through the door feel like family ♡“
“This is fast food, keep in mind, so 4 stars here isn't the same as 4 stars for a sit down meal with linen tablecloths and a full bar staff...But the truth is, when we pop through for a quick bite the food is consistent, usually speedy, and you can count on being handled in a similar, pleasing, fashion whether you're looking for something at noon, evening, or off hours... I've visited several others drive throughs that simply didn't keep those basics alive. I like the quality of their food when you bring context to bear, so I'm quite willing to continue patronizing them in at the Altoona location.“
“Great place to eat for a casual dinner! Applebees is known to have a large variety of different foods from pasta to burgers. There’s something that anyone can enjoy! Service was fantastic! Even though they made a mistake during our last visit, they provided a discount for inconvenience and remedy the problem in a timely manner. The staff that served us was very friendly and assisted all of our wants during our stay! I highly recommend the bourbon mushroom meals such as the bourbon mushroom Swiss burger! Out of all of the mushroom Swiss burgers I ate so far, Applebees provides the best by far! I believe it’s their signature sauce that provides a rich and unique flavor for their bourbon mushroom meals! There’s a reason the popular song that you all know mentions the bourbon steak. ?Parking: I never have a hard time finding a parking spot. Plenty of spots available during a Saturday night.Kid-friendliness: Many kid food options available and friendly atmosphere for children.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible parking and entrances are available.“
“Ran through this afternoon and I just have to say that the gal working was exceptional! She was entirely alone, busy, and nailed our order! The food was on point, the burgers were neat, we got napkins, and even sauce I forgot to ask for. One woman doing the work of at least three and better than all the rest! I wish I had gotten her name. I will be back next time I’m in town and I will be on the look out for her.“

“Usually do Drive-Thru here, as going inside is usually an absolute headache. Inside, getting people to help you, especially at night, is terrible. There is seldom a cashier as they rely almost totally on the order kiosk, and if you do need help, the manager running orders will just look at you because the Drive-Thru orders come first. That being said, Drive-Thru is almost the complete opposite. Their staff is in Drive-Thru is usually pretty friendly, and they are usually pretty quick to get you through. Like every McDonald's known to man, they will sometimes make mistakes with your order or have you sit there too long, but it doesn't seem to happen all that often.“
“First time in De Moine googled restaurants close by & knew we needed to try a place called zombie burger. We were not disappointed! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an outstanding burger and fries. Do me a favor and try a shake while you’re there as well“
“It was difficult to pick what to eat, everything just sounded so good. I ended up getting just a bacon and cheese burger with a side of fries. And I recommend you trying the Don’t Text Your Ex drink was well! I walked back to my hotel with a full belly.“
