“We recently had a "private party" at Adventurous to celebrate a retirement. We have been coming to Adventurous since the taproom was opened. The vibe is amazing and the staff is fantastic. Jami was so great to work with in getting the party scheduled and figuring out how we wanted to set things up to the beer. The communication was excellent and we felt so comfortable that the day would be just we wanted it to be. The day was perfect (we drove over 2 hours as well as did all of those invited to join us) and cannot say enough about Jami and team at Adventurous.”

“We ordered an ultimate bacon burger and chicken Alfredo. Burger tasted good and honey mustard on the side was delicious for fries. Alfredo was HORRIBLE. I should have asked for a different meal. We had 3 people from our group try it and it was terrible to each person- we didn’t even eat half of it nor did we box it up.
Service was fantastic with our large party. I don’t remember our servers name but she was a delight and very conscious of when to get drink refills or check on table.
Environment was great during a home iowa game. People cheered, people had conversations, etc. But honestly- don’t get the Alfredo.”

“My food at Ghost Chicken was delicious! While the hot honey dust on my chicken tender was my favorite, the mango habanero was a close second. I loved the sidewinder fries and the mango pineapple refresher with 1/2 lemonade * 1/2 sprite was a dream! Will definitely be going back.”

“I freaking love whitey's! We come almost every other day and i personally get a 1.5 qt and eat it all right there! Their ice-cream is the best in the widwest! Shout out whitey's! The workers are great and they are all happy to see us when we walk in! They ask what flavor today! Ella and Tyler deserve a raise! In fact all of the workers do! (sorry I forgot most of the names) but this is our go to location the people are great and the ice cream is great! All around a great place!”

“Ok, so I came to the quad cities on work/vacation and my buddy insisted on me having Dlua taco shop. I ended up coming here many times, but this is what hook me one time I ordered some tacos and an Horchata. I asked the cashier if they could do an Horchata latte. He said no, but the owner was there and they had just gotten a latte machine so he poured me an espresso shot over my Horchata. So good!!! I tried their steak burrito, steak tacos, and Quesa Birria tacos on different days. Tried my friends carnitas 👌🏾 all Solid! Another thing that I really liked is that they use non-GMO quality tortillas for the win!!!! I ended up getting one of their cool Mexican shirts too.”

“We had La Flama on Wheels for a birthday party and it was well worth the money! The service was amazing and the food was so good! Everyone really enjoyed the food. Most people had more than one helping. All the kids loved seeing the truck and thought it was super cool. The staff was supportive and incredibly accommodating. I will for-sure be using La Flama for our next party. I highly recommend La Flama on Wheels for any special occasion. It was so much fun and super delicious!!!! 🌮🎈🌮”

“It's nice to have MLK day off from work - three-day weekends are great from school, and their just as good in adult life. After a day spent largely across the river in Rock Island and East Moline, I took a rest at home. I needed a night cap and some dinner however. What better way to accomplish both of those things than a quick trip out to a nearby bar?I have no other reason to traverse Central Avenue in Bettendorf. I live within a 5 minute drive of Central Ave Tap, but I don't need to visit Neil Armstrong Elementary, nor is there anything else along the road for me to visit currently. I've driven by before on my way to visit friends that live in the area, just never stopped in here ever for a drink or food. Well, that changes tonight - I needed a gin and tonic and a burger before bed!There's not too much to say about Central Ave Tap. Its a bar in the bottom half of a building all to itself. There're two pool tables, a few dart boards, and a long bar that runs the whole length of the space. Newish wood laminate floor covers most of the inside, as does the newer looking drop ceiling. There's a TouchTunes jukebox along the wall - one of the new variety that lets anyone with the corresponding phone app play anything they like with the touch of a button from their phone. Suffice to say, the space is well maintained and clean.I settled at the bar on my visit and got my gin and tonic to start. They only had well gin - Fleischmann's I think? - it was fine, made a good G&T. After a quick perusal of the menu, I settled on a burger and fries, both of which I got to watch the bartender prepare right from my seat at the bar. This was a new experience for me - the stove and, really, the entire kitchen area are right there, unsegregated from the rest of the space, to watch as you please. It was actually kind of neat, plus the food came out super fresh.I enjoyed both the burger and fries. The burger was a simple pre-formed frozen patty, but it tasted fresh all the same. The fries were crinkle cut, fried to crispy perfection. The total portion size was exactly what I needed for the evening - not too much, not too little.Given a similar urge, I'd come back here for another burger. It felt kind of weird just randomly coming here. The space had the distinct feeling of being a local pup, a sort of common space for mostly those that lived close by. I hope I didn't intrude much. “While visiting the QC area from out of town, we stopped by for a late morning treat! We always try to support locally-owned and operated businesses and Gravastar did NOT disappoint! I like flavor without a lot of extra “stuff” in my coffee, including little to no cream. The barista acknowledged this and recommended the Peanut Butter Pup custom cold brew, Black. It was absolutely delicious!!! My daughter loves Caramel and chocolate and the barista recommended a California Dream, which is caramel sauce and white chocolate. It received rave reviews from a super picky teen! My tween son ordered an Orange July-Us smoothie which was fervently consumed and declared to be “Amazing!” To eat, we also ordered a BAE Breakfast Sammie - it was scrumptious - and a Chicken Bacon Ranch flatbread pizza. Both of these tasted like they were from a restaurant and came out piping hot and packed with flavor. You could tell they were hand-made with care and they were delicious!!! The ambiance at Gravastar is also so well-constructed. You can tell it was designed and created with intention and clarity that supports their vision and theme very well. Bravo 👏! Well-done! Everyone - do yourself a favor and stop by Gravastar. Skip the chains. Support local. Tell your friends. You’ll be happy you did!”

“There's literally a Starbucks store not a block down Middle Road from this one. I know it's pretty much a hackneyed and tired observation at this point, but I still feel compelled to make it. At any rate, I happened to be doing some shopping within the HyVee that contains this Starbucks and decided to stop here for a tea and pastry. Never done this before, but felt compelled to do so today.This place has a weird look. The accent lighting fixtures in most Starbucks are present across the trellis that surrounds this location, but they do nothing to add to the functionality or overall appearance of the location, as uncovered 4 ft florescent light fixtures provide the same harsh white light common to this and most other Hy Vee locations. It's kind of a bummer - I wish Hy Vee would fix this.I got an Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade and an Iced Lemon Loaf. No issues with either - they were of the quality expected of any other Starbucks. I enjoyed both while sitting at one of the two tables adjacent to the kiosk while looking at this location's particularly strange painting that I swear every Starbucks has to have their own version of.In summary, the food and drink of this Starbucks was standard fare, but the grocery store ambiance took away something from the experience. I think if Hy Vee fixed their lighting around the Starbucks, this would be better. Don't know how they'd do that - maybe add a separate drop ceiling around the area to make it a little darker? Anyway, thanks Starbucks!

Vegetarian options: Plenty of coffee, tea, and pastry will satisfy the meatless consumers among us.

Kid-friendliness: None of the employees seemed anti-child. Specific to their seating, there aren't child seats.

Parking: There's a large parking lot available outside the Hy Vee that can also be used by those wanting to partake in this Starbucks.

Wheelchair accessibility: There's no real wheelchair seating right at this Starbucks. If needed, however, you could probably go to the Hy Vee dining area close by to find something suitable.”

“While I'm not a Starbucks frequented due to the fact that I don't like the way they roast their coffee. It's over roasted in my opinion and I buy my beans from other sources where I can buy high quality medium/light roasted beans. But I digress. We as a family like their mixed iced tea drinks so we buy those and we get the coffee grounds. This Starbucks bags them up, all espresso picks BTW, and puts them out for people to take. Like I thought all Starbucks do, which isn't the case. They were very happy when we came in to get some. I live in Davenport, but I'll drive over here instead of going to the rude Starbucks on Kimberly.”

“This was my first visit to Smoothie King. As I was sitting at the local Smoothie King waiting for my order a young lady walked in and went up to the counter. As she was greeted by the staff she began to cry. I heard her say “I am sorry I’m just nervous.” The female employee asked her if she was there for an interview and she nodded yes. The employee then said “don’t be nervous. Everyone here is nice.” They had her take a seat. Shortly after, the Shift Lead Kionna came out and sat down with her and approached her with the biggest warm smile and a calm and reassuring tone. She said “I didn’t know about your interview today so I’m nervous and you’re neevous. Everything will be ok.” And then the interview started! We need more people like the ladies at Smoothie King!!! AND our smoothies were delicious too! ♥️”
