“Froyo bars can really be hit or miss. Peachwave is definitely a hit!

We 100% prefer Peachwave to other, closer froyo bars. Why? It's cleaner. Like, way cleaner. You get to put your own toppings on, including syrups. The toppings are better (e.g., hot fudge vs chocolate syrup). The flavors are great. The staff is friendly. And the prices are still super reasonable.

Whenever the timing lines up and Peachwave is open while we're nearby, we stop in for at least 4oz of deliciousness.”

“While visiting the QC area from out of town, we stopped by for a late morning treat! We always try to support locally-owned and operated businesses and Gravastar did NOT disappoint! I like flavor without a lot of extra “stuff” in my coffee, including little to no cream. The barista acknowledged this and recommended the Peanut Butter Pup custom cold brew, Black. It was absolutely delicious!!! My daughter loves Caramel and chocolate and the barista recommended a California Dream, which is caramel sauce and white chocolate. It received rave reviews from a super picky teen! My tween son ordered an Orange July-Us smoothie which was fervently consumed and declared to be “Amazing!” To eat, we also ordered a BAE Breakfast Sammie - it was scrumptious - and a Chicken Bacon Ranch flatbread pizza. Both of these tasted like they were from a restaurant and came out piping hot and packed with flavor. You could tell they were hand-made with care and they were delicious!!! The ambiance at Gravastar is also so well-constructed. You can tell it was designed and created with intention and clarity that supports their vision and theme very well. Bravo 👏! Well-done! Everyone - do yourself a favor and stop by Gravastar. Skip the chains. Support local. Tell your friends. You’ll be happy you did!”

“I was at the bar when the incident occurred with the customer vaping. Owner asked him politely to please not vape. The customer was unnecessarily offended even though there were signs stating no smoking or vaping. Riverside is very friendly and welcoming- veterans included. Great food, great staff!”

“We had La Flama on Wheels for a birthday party and it was well worth the money! The service was amazing and the food was so good! Everyone really enjoyed the food. Most people had more than one helping. All the kids loved seeing the truck and thought it was super cool. The staff was supportive and incredibly accommodating. I will for-sure be using La Flama for our next party. I highly recommend La Flama on Wheels for any special occasion. It was so much fun and super delicious!!!! 🌮🎈🌮”

“This was my first visit to Smoothie King. As I was sitting at the local Smoothie King waiting for my order a young lady walked in and went up to the counter. As she was greeted by the staff she began to cry. I heard her say “I am sorry I’m just nervous.” The female employee asked her if she was there for an interview and she nodded yes. The employee then said “don’t be nervous. Everyone here is nice.” They had her take a seat. Shortly after, the Shift Lead Kionna came out and sat down with her and approached her with the biggest warm smile and a calm and reassuring tone. She said “I didn’t know about your interview today so I’m nervous and you’re neevous. Everything will be ok.” And then the interview started! We need more people like the ladies at Smoothie King!!! AND our smoothies were delicious too! ♥️”

“It's nice to have MLK day off from work - three-day weekends are great from school, and their just as good in adult life. After a day spent largely across the river in Rock Island and East Moline, I took a rest at home. I needed a night cap and some dinner however. What better way to accomplish both of those things than a quick trip out to a nearby bar?I have no other reason to traverse Central Avenue in Bettendorf. I live within a 5 minute drive of Central Ave Tap, but I don't need to visit Neil Armstrong Elementary, nor is there anything else along the road for me to visit currently. I've driven by before on my way to visit friends that live in the area, just never stopped in here ever for a drink or food. Well, that changes tonight - I needed a gin and tonic and a burger before bed!There's not too much to say about Central Ave Tap. Its a bar in the bottom half of a building all to itself. There're two pool tables, a few dart boards, and a long bar that runs the whole length of the space. Newish wood laminate floor covers most of the inside, as does the newer looking drop ceiling. There's a TouchTunes jukebox along the wall - one of the new variety that lets anyone with the corresponding phone app play anything they like with the touch of a button from their phone. Suffice to say, the space is well maintained and clean.I settled at the bar on my visit and got my gin and tonic to start. They only had well gin - Fleischmann's I think? - it was fine, made a good G&T. After a quick perusal of the menu, I settled on a burger and fries, both of which I got to watch the bartender prepare right from my seat at the bar. This was a new experience for me - the stove and, really, the entire kitchen area are right there, unsegregated from the rest of the space, to watch as you please. It was actually kind of neat, plus the food came out super fresh.I enjoyed both the burger and fries. The burger was a simple pre-formed frozen patty, but it tasted fresh all the same. The fries were crinkle cut, fried to crispy perfection. The total portion size was exactly what I needed for the evening - not too much, not too little.Given a similar urge, I'd come back here for another burger. It felt kind of weird just randomly coming here. The space had the distinct feeling of being a local pup, a sort of common space for mostly those that lived close by. I hope I didn't intrude much. “While I'm not a Starbucks frequented due to the fact that I don't like the way they roast their coffee. It's over roasted in my opinion and I buy my beans from other sources where I can buy high quality medium/light roasted beans. But I digress. We as a family like their mixed iced tea drinks so we buy those and we get the coffee grounds. This Starbucks bags them up, all espresso picks BTW, and puts them out for people to take. Like I thought all Starbucks do, which isn't the case. They were very happy when we came in to get some. I live in Davenport, but I'll drive over here instead of going to the rude Starbucks on Kimberly.”

“We just ate here for the first time. We loved the Irish Pub decor! Our waiter, Zack, was awesome! They have Guinness and Smithwicks on tap, so I could have my favorite drink, half of each! Very difficult to find here locally. Zack knew it was called a “blacksmith”! Our food was very good and arrived fast. We will definitely be back for corned beef and cabbage at the end of the month! Great experience!”

“We really enjoy this restaurant. My husband enjoys the Quesa Birria Taco, my sister really liked the Pastor. I get different things but in the past i really liked the Birria omlette. Their pancakes are always super yummy. (I always envy the food i see going to other tables, especially the pancakes!) I especially like that my picky eater daughter always finds a few options she's willing to try (strawberry crepes lately).

Lately we have been fortunate to have one of the best servers I've ever had. She's very attentive, really pleasant, very caring and SMART. I just love when we get seated in Stephanie's section. The service can make or break a meal for us. And Stephanie has consistently delivered a very enjoyable dining experience. Kudos to Stephanie for taking so much pride and care in her work. It really really shows.

Between great food and great service, D'Lua in Bettendorf is one of our favorites!

Parking: Never had a problem with enough parking. I think their spaces are even a little bigger than average.

Kid-friendliness: Excellent kids options. Lots of options for my picky kid.”

“We just visited for the first time. The service was great. Our waiter was perfect and kept our drinks filled and checked on us a lot. The food was good. It wasn’t the best or anything better than other restaurants. But, it was pricier. On top of that they charge $1 extra for ranch, which we tend to eat a lot of. And, there’s a $2 charge for using credit card. We didn’t know about either of these until we got our bill. I would consider this an average restaurant that’s a little pricier than others in the area.”
