The workers are nice. The food is good. The pork spare ribs were great. My family really enjoyed the Texas toast. We will all come back. I also really liked the chicken that came with the Iowa pit bits.
This is the place!!! Jimmy and his family are good kind people who run one great BBQ joint! You can smell Jimmy smoking the meat for the day early in the morning, and it smells delicious!Meat falls off the bone, smoked to perfection. Portions are great, baked beans are to die for. If it’s not already been eaten, the lemon chess pie is the perfect finale to a great meal and friendly experience.

Hadn't been here in a while, so stopped for lunch with my brother. He had the assortment of smoked meats, and I had the pork spareribs 1/2 rack and a sloppy spud. Food and service were both good, and the kitschy atmosphere is fun. This place is a hidden gem in downtown Boone, Iowa. I highly recommend it. Great quality of food at a reasonable price. The fresh homemade lemonade was excellent. No room for pie.
