“Cosi Cucina is an absolute family favorite. We enjoy the attention to detail that goes along with our dining experience. We love the atmosphere, delicious food, amazing drinks, very attentive wait staff and we always feel like family. Peter and his staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone’s experience is top notch. The menu has everything from appetizers, salads, pastas dishes, protein packed entrees, pizzas, calzones and a fantastic dessert menu! “My husband and I have eaten at Aura at least 5 times. We've also hosted group dinners there. The food is FANTASTIC, and the mussels are absolutely delicious. And I'm from the NW, I know delicious mussels! The ONLY thing keeping me from giving it a 5 STAR review is that the music is too loud, and it's monotonous. Please, serve quiet, enjoyable music to go along with your wonderful food.”

“First time eating here. Friendly staff, fast service, reasonable prices, generous portions and delicious burgers and fries. I enjoyed the mushroom Swiss burger with perfectly seasoned crinkle fries. Our daughter is home from college, and she told us that’s the best burger she’s had in a long time. She had the bacon cheeseburger. Hubby had the double cheeseburger, it looked great too. He must’ve enjoyed it, he ate the whole thing! Glad we found this place, we will be back.”

“We love this restaurant! We live closer to the Clive location so we order from there all of the time, both dine in and take out. I recently also had them cater a Saturday lunch at work for us and they knocked it out of the park! Eddie is a phenomenal asset to this restaurant. Always friendly and helpful. Struck up some great conversations with the bar tender and a few locals. Really appreciated the friendly and divey atmosphere. I would definitely come back if I am in Des Moines again.”

Definitely a place you need to try. Get any margarita, the steak/chicken/shrimp fajitas, carnitas, or the chimichanga!”

“Stopped by for dinner with a friend Saturday night and had another fantastic experience and meal!

There was plenty of close open parking, we had a prompt, warm welcome and we felt the staff appreciated our visit from the first moment!

We had our choice of a booth or table, which I always love, and we were sat immediately and greeted shortly after by our very kind and attentive server.

Our drinks arrived within a minute or two and we were so excited to order the pot stickers that I forgot to take photos of them before they were practically inhaled! This appetizer showed up hot and delicious as always and the sauce that comes with them is my favorite in town!

Our meals also came out hot, delicious, as ordered and very promptly! I I would estimate we had them within 8-10 minutes and they were also plated beautifully! I had the orange chicken and I would recommend it to anyone!

Unfortunately I didn’t catch her name but she was friendly as well and the drinks were good! The pumpkin white mocha is good in moderation, it didn’t mention spice in the app so wasn’t expecting the spice flavor.”

“Cool Basil has been a long time favorite of my wife and I. We hadn’t been there in a while when we stopped in for lunch today. The atmosphere was noticeably different. They were playing a funky smooth jazz music where every song sounded the same. I liked the previous light/classic rock mix much better. The staff seems to have completely changed since we were last in. We didn’t recognize anyone, whereas we were on a first name basis with much of the previous staff. The service was noticeably slower and less friendly. The food was still very good. I ordered my usual spice level 2 and it was very, very hot. Much hotter than it used to be. I’m just wondering if they are under new ownership or management because it is a very different experience from a year ago. I still recommend Cool Basil, it’s just not the familiar place that we loved anymore.”

“Nick’s is always a win! If you’re there, you are family. The staff truly cares that your experience is spectacular. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is top-notch. Twice a month I meet up with a wonderful friend to sit at the bar, eat some snacks, and enjoy a bourbon or martini while she drinks wine. Even with the rarity of my visits, the bartenders treat me like a regular and work to get to know me. You cannot match the level of service! I typically stay for a short amount of time, eat while I’m there, and also take food home for my high school aged children. The to go food is always perfectly packaged and delicious even if it sits on the counter for a bit while we finish our conversation and settle bills. I cannot recommend Nick’s enough. I almost hate to post this review and ruin the truly beautiful experience.”

“I grew up eating The Other Place Pizza at one of the older locations, in Evansdale. I think OP Pizza is the very top of the line of Pizzas, and consider it the gold standard for how a pizza should be. Sure, I like other pies, but OP can’t be beat. Often though, lately, with my high standard, naturally I am disappointed at different Other Place locations if they don’t get it quite right. A little undercooked or over, not enough sauce, served a little too cold, crust not as thick…. Been a while since I’ve had the perfect OP Pizza. Well, today at lunch we went to the Clive location for the first time and ordered at 14” with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, black olives and mushrooms… and it was absolutely PERFECT! They knocked it out of the park! Crust perfect, sauce amount perfect, cooked to perfection, of course the toppings are always top notch. You know it’s good when you’re full and you just want to keep eating. Great job ladies and gentlemen at the Clive location. You made this 40 year old OP Pizza lover very happy today. Lord Bless.”
