“The chicken over rice platter did not have that “New York halal cart” taste that Des Moines desperately needs. But was decent. Portion sizes were about average for the $14 pricing. My wife had a gyro wrap that she said was “ok” which ran around $11.Still getting 4 stars as I will reccomend it over the Mo’s restaurant that is nearby on 60th and Ashworth (that place is a ripoff on portion sizes/price) but the bar is low for halal options in the area.“
“The wife & I decided to try out Tito's for their Sunday brunch. We were not disappointed! My wife got the French Toast which was really good. The addition of serving it with a side of Nutella really added an extra element to it. I got their Tito's Breakfast Burrito which was also really good. It was a big burrito with a bit of melted cheese toasted on the outside. It didn't come with salsa which I think is a must have for breakfast burritos but I asked for a side of it which they were happy to provide. The real star of the morning for us was their breakfast potatoes! They were just a regular cubed style breakfast potato but they were the perfect amount of lightly crispy on the outside while staying tender in the middle. Plus, whatever they seasoned them with was phenomenal! The only hiccup to our breakfast was that the service was very slow. They had one very friendly waitress it appeared for the entire restaurant who seemed to be absolutely doing her best but because of the number of customers at that time it was more than she could keep up with. Hopefully that day was just an outlier. Tito's is definitely a place we'll be trying out again though!“
“It’s a little small but this place has really good food and their portions are really nice. My family usually orders 2-3 plates and shares and we eat very well, with left overs sometimes. Everything we have ordered had been wonderful. We have never had a reason to complain.“
“Wonderful service and food. I got a gyro and my boyfriend ordered two pitas (beef and a beef and potato). Everything was excellent. The pitas were large so we took one to go and ate it later. Small menu, but that's okay because what they do offer they do it well. Wasn't sure what to expect when we randomly stopped in, but so glad we did. Can't wait to tell my friends about this place!“
“We enjoyed our lunch quite a bit! This is very authentic and it seems like folks from African communities actually eat here. The bbq chicken was super super tender and flavorful. The rice was incredible. You don’t get goat in a lot of places and we had it as one of our entrees. Very tender and right off the bone. Owners were very nice and helpful! You order up front and then sit down to wait for your food. We even got bananas for desert. Parking wasn’t a problem for us. Keep prayer times in mind. The restaurant closes when staff heads to prayer. Give it a shot and see what you like.“
“If you've been craving an elevated, intimate dining experience you need look no further. Our first visit to Aposto will certainly not be our last... Everything from the service (attentive but very unobtrusive) to the cocktails were top notch and then we tried the food. Wow! Every bite was was worth savoring, we were even fortunate enough to meet Chef Cole during the main course. Undoubtedly one of our favorite meals together to date; we're already planning our next visit!“
“The food here is great, price point is a little higher than comparable places, drive thru is convenient. My one issue...the drive thru workers ask if you want to tip.#1 it's a drive thru#2 it's a verbal ask...if you are going to ask, please ask me digitally so that if I decline, I can do so without it feeling personal ??♀️“
“Eatery A is fantastic! We had a reservation for 4 at 4pm on a Saturday. We were seated promptly & the server arrived within a couple minutes. They have a great happy hour special so we took advantage of that. 1/2 price pizzas & draft beer. The pizza was delicious! I suggest the #2.“
“Friendly staff and yummy food. Ordered food to go but the space looks really nice for a casual gathering. I like the option of all 3 restaurants next to eachother like a mini food court and there r several vegetarian options between them. Chicken is Halal, beef/lamb is kosher, I believe.Dietary restrictions: Halal and kosher optionsKid-friendliness: My daughter loved the sandwich although they do not have a Children's menu, u can pick and choose whatever you would like to put in your sandwich or bowl which makes it a lot easier with children.“
“We arrived at around 5pm, on Friday October 6th. There were two employees working, a young man on the grill and a young woman working the register and assembling pitas. We were greeted promptly and told they’d be right with us and they were. They were both very friendly and professional. Our pitas were fantastic to boot! We’ve had numerous excellent experiences with these same two employees. They are consistently surpassing expectation. Keep them if you can!“
“Loved everything about this place. The flavors were superb and the food very fresh. The service was efficient, friendly and overall excellent. They also were very accommodating of our young children. We loved the classic music and ambience. Highly recommend!“
