I cant really rate this place since it doesn't appear to be open anymore.Unfortunately since their website still lists as 'open' my fiance and I drove over 45mins to check it out and were really bummed to drive up to a vacate lot.Are they closed for good? We would like to know....

The closest thing I can find in Iowa to a Portland style, neighborhood brewery I grew to love when living in Oregon.

This place was a new restaurant that had opened on the Coralville Strip since we lived there back in 2016, so when we visited old friends, they took us here for lunch. The decor of the place is very eclectic and it's very dark like an old medieval tavern. My husband ordered a grilled cheese and I had the pretzel bites. They both were quite tasty. We also all ordered a chocolate cube to share for dessert that was absolutely delightful!

Friendly service and decent beer. The chocolate Porter is in particular good.

I love this place! It's been fun to see it evolve since it's opening and I hope it stays strong. Will have to update my food photos next time but be assured that their food is excellent. I am in love with (and currently jonesing for) their Bratchos, I have to get about two additional servings of banana peppers! If you have a chance check out the breakfast menu and of course the wurst themselves nothing I've had or sampled has disappointed. The decor is crazy and eclectic but works, new outdoor patio looks inviting (dogs must stay out of serving area which puts them near a drive aisle so probably best to leave the puppers at home). One funny thing I've noticed is I'm not quite sure I've come across an establishment that has so many messages from the Ownership? I could go either way on some of and understand why they feel the need to discuss/broadcast their decisions but on the other hand, can I just come their and enjoy the experience and think on other things than the details of the credit card fees??? Again not a big issue but just very strange way of communication not seen many other places. While I am not a big fan of their beer the IPA is solid, this is their only weak spot but it should not deter you from trying them. Lastly, from a location perspective I am so so so happy to have them as an option on the strip and before Hawkeye basketball games! Never leave!
