“Love Truman’s! They hosted us last night for my birthday celebration and they did not disappoint. They never do! The food alone is delicious, their menu has something for everyone, plus some unique pizzas that I have tried to replicate. (Theirs was better 😉) Their service is always great too. Friendly staff, always helpful, and the dude who hosted our party of 26 last night was awesome and made sure we all had a great experience and had what we needed throughout our time there. Thanks for helping make my celebration so special Truman’s! I’ll be back soon!“

“Kid-friendliness: The staff is incredibly helpful with answering questions and helping parents with detailing importance of nutrition to our picky eaters. Even if our kiddos are more on the wild side the staff are very understanding that kids can be squirrelly.“

“I’ve worked with Evan and his staff the last couple years to get pizza for Centennial boys’ tennis team meals. They have been amazing to work with and very accommodating, even with weather related changes to the scheduled meals. The pizza has been delicious and the boys love it. The 26 inch pizzas are awesome for feeding large groups. I would highly recommend Dough Co in Ankeny!“

“On December 20th, 2025, at 6:58pm, I ordered a large hawiaan pizza and two orders of breadsticks for delivery. I was told 1 to 1 and a half hours at 1 hour 50 minutes I called to find out where our food was. I was told that they tried to deliver our food but were unable to deliver our order but they could not do so. I then asked why it was unable to be delivered and "the manager" stated that they tried to call me, no one ever did call me and I can prove it. The "manager" could not provide a reason the order was undeliverable. I then told them that my husband would be coming to pick it up and that they needed to make it right by refunding part of our order NOT all just part of it for the inconvience (not being nasty at all). The "manager" stated "I am canceling your order. Go somewhere else." When asked why he said "You are being rude." I told him he had poor customer service skills and hung up. My husband and I ended up going to the Altoona Northern lights and they went above and beyond for us. I will always go to the Altoona store over Hubbell. I highly recommend that you do not go to this store unless you want to be treated like crap.“

“My biggest problem with Northern lights is that they deliver it fast so it always arrives hot. It also never gives me indigestion so they must use good ingredients. This has made me addicted to their pizzas. In fact writing this review I suddenly want one. And it is 9:30am. Damn you Northern Lights!“

“Simon’s in Des Moines is absolutely incredible. The food was beyond amazing — every bite was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The service was outstanding, even though they were busy. What really stood out was the personal greeting from Simon himself. That level of care says so much about how much he values his guests. The atmosphere was welcoming and energetic, and I truly felt appreciated the entire time. Highly recommend!“

“Came on Wednesday so it was not too busy (about half full). Great service (prompt, polite, knowledgeable). We shared the large beet salad and Hugo's pizza. All was fresh and excellent. “This is a good experience overall for bulk flour delivery. It does take a bit longer than preferred to get authorized for delivery, however, the fast unload time makes up for it. My favorite thing is one usually overlooked, and that is access to a outhouse; now running water would be better, but I'll take it and be happy.“

“Pretty good late night NY style pizza. My go to is always pepperoni or honey garlic Alfredo. Carry-out only and I believe it was 3-4 dollars a slice. Food tasted pretty good but different from what I remember during my initial visits when I first moved to des moines.“

“The thing that stood out to me the most about this restaurant was the Comrodery and teamwork of the employees. Everyone talked together, laughed with each other, and enjoyed each other's work and presence. Nobody was mistreated or left out. I as a customer buying pizza could tell that if I worked a job I'd love to work here because you don't normally see a kind, fair, welcoming atmosphere of team members even employed with disabilities working together. The kitchen was clean as well, and it was cool to watch how they made the pizzas. I'd say the only downside was the cashier checking us out seemed to manipulate us into buying more even after we checked and told him several times we were only buying 1 pizza and 1 thing of breadsticks. I'm not sure if it was a misunderstanding, but either way, we paid for more and came home with more than what we ordered. Working on communication skills and honesty to customers would be a skill I believe this place should work on to train their cashiers. The food was fabulous and delicious, and I wouldn't mind coming back to order from here or another Papa John's again. They have better pizzas than any other pizza place we've been to.
The team work and management along with the clean environment and delicious food are what got this place the most stars, and that is my valuable review, because my husband used to work at Domino's Pizza and they don't have anything for review points that I would give this place!

“Me and my boyfriend ordered carryout from here almost a week ago. We ordered 2 medium pizzas and the molten lava cake. It didn't take very long for them to make our order it was really hot and smelled amazing. The service isn't that great and they forgot our sauces so had we to go back and get them.“

“Yesterday I got a coupon in the mail for a free large two topping pizza. Two weeks ago we had a delivery order and it was 15 minutes late. I didn't even complain and they were nice enough to send that out. The staff is always super nice to deal with as well!“

“So this was a bad experience despite the stars that am giving.

I ordered on the app at 8:30pm this evening for two pies and some breadsticks. A meal my wife has been craving since we have been in the hospital this week having a baby boy. Now that we are home and settled in I said I would order it and have it delivered, so that is what I did. I ordered it and it said it was $39.98 and would be delivered by 9:14. So around 9 I check the app and it says it is now a carry out. So I don’t fuss with it and just drive the 7 minutes to the store. They say they don’t have an order in the system and that I will have to call a number to talk with customer support because the app is not the same as the stores system and they can’t just honor how much was taken out of my bank account. So I call the number and and talk with Linda whom I can barely understand thru her extremely thick Indian accent. She tells me that I will have my money back in my account within two weeks and that there is nothing more she can do with me. ( I do not like Linda she was very unhelpful).

I go back into the store and James met me at the counter and I can only assume that he is the store manager or someone higher up in the Pizza Hut chain. Because he was so helpful. He could tell that I was not happy and that I was having a hard time with all of this malarkey. He was understanding of my situation and made sure to make my reordering process a breeze and not stressfull. But most of all he hustled and made sure everything was right and he did it all with a kind smile on his face. If this man is not a mangager he definitely needs to be considered for the position. Because he handled himself very well even with several other people ordering food and picking up orders while all this was going on.

“Navigating to the new location was an experience. I guess maps had not been updated with the new location that was a former bank. Anyway, not a dominoes issue. The pizza was fine decided to try the new spicy chicken ranch. Won't have that one again. Never been a huge fan of ranch in any form. Didn't really work with the other items on the pizza.
