However, the owner's warmth and helpfulness more than made up for it, answering all our questions with a smile. This spot is now my top choice whenever I visit my cousins in Iowa.The famous smash burger lived up to its reputation - utterly delicious, especially paired with crispy, well-seasoned sweet potato fries.Just be cautious with parking, and don't miss the turn before the restaurant - we had to make an unexpected U-turn, but it was worth it for the experience!“

“Stumbled across The Tattered Toad when the orchard we were going to didn't have any vegetarian options for lunch. The fried cauliflower, mac abd cheese bites, poppers, onion rings and hot pepper bites were so tasty. Everyone enjoyed their food and they even have a kids menu. There is a super fun playground across the street that all 3 kids plus the grown ups had fun in.“
“We had a hungry crew with us, 6 adults and 4 children. The waiter was patient with us and kept us up to date on how soon our order would make it to the grill. They have a small kitchen, but the cook creates big results from it. The food was fabulous!We had Burgers, chicken, patty melts, sausage, and every deep-fried veggie on the menu. My 4yo ate the 2nd half of his plain hamburger the next day and stated, "they did a good job of this." If that's not high praise, idk what is.“

“It's a fine Hy Vee. The Wine and Spirits clerks are particularly fun employees to chop it up with. Any time I need help, the folks there are always on the ball. One time some random asshole college student came up to me and tried to recruit me to join his Amway team, but that's mostly just a funny anecdote and has nothing to do with the store. I hope his pyramid scheme fails and he gets punched at an Insane Clown Posse concert.“

They have a great selection of sandwiches, including original and unique tenderloin options I highly recommend! If pizza is your thing, there's a good line of ingredient full and tasty options. Beyond the normal options found everywhere, you'll have more clever and appetizing options at Cabaret. The appetizers are good and sized as expected. Make sure to pair your evening with a cocktail off the menu, this is top notch. The vibe is good, better with a nice evening on the patio. The staff and people make this a place worth visiting if you're out. Very reasonable pricing and a fair amount of seating even in the peak hours.Vegetarian options: Cabaret has a meatless hamburger option that isn't the cheap black bean or compressed soy version. It's always prepared well and served best on a pretzel bun with some Cab fries!“
“A beautiful facility with great food. We love having this available in our community. Food is great and the place is beautiful since the remodel. Great for a night out with friends, a quick bite after a round of golf or a Friday night out with the kids after a ball game. The kids love the pool table!“
