Their bacon wrapped tator tots and their humongous tenderloins are something you shouldn't miss either. For that matter, everything is good! Beer is cold! And the place is clean! Don't just drive by! Stop in and have a bite to eat!“

“It's a great pot stop off of I-235. Nice bar with great food, staff, and clean bathrooms. On our way to Chicago from KC area. I couldn't face a fast-food stop. This was definitely a good decision. Excellent! ?This is a small neighborhood place and parking might be an issue. I prefer small :)“

“My daughter and her family took us to Dam Pub this evening. I wasn't expecting much but I was so wrong! What a fantastic place for drinks and a great meal! The adult beverages were tasty and terrific! Everyone had pizza except me as the cold weather prompted me to try the chicken and noodles. The appetizer was fried portobello mushrooms with a parmesan dipping sauce! Unreal! This was the first time visit for us but it will not be last! 80's theme to the music and decor! We loved it!Parking: You need to park across the street in the strip mall parking lot. We easily found a close spot.“

“Nice place and great people, appears to be changing things up to improve the overall experience and atmosphere. What they are doing doesn't appear to be just for show, looks like they are putting the work and money into the place to make it better.Food exceeded my expectations for a typical bar, there food had flavor and most appears to be made onsite, not the normal frozen items that many bars try to pass off as meals.Can't wait to see all the changes in the next few months, but what they are already doing has made me a returning customer.It's worth the drive to stop in, if your in town for work, or just looking for a different place than normal to grab food for lunch or drinks after work.“

“The food here was phenomenal! The chevapi was perfect, the lamb was falling off the bone and even the fat was so delicious you could spread it on a piece of bread like butter. The burek was perfectly cooked and had so much flavor! Even the salads were so delicious we could not stop eating them. This will be my go-to place in the Des Moines/Johnston area from now on!“

This is definitely a neighborhood bar - as several other patrons / regulars asked us how we liked our drinks and dinners. Granted, the area looks a little on the rough side as you pull up but the service and food were both great - all handled by one lady behind the bar. On the recommendation of another patron, we started out with Bloody Marys with pickle vodka and I highly recommend them - not too salty or thick. For our meals, my wife ordered the Italian Beef (see picture) and I went with the Chicago Dog (see picture). As always, we each shared tastes and found both dishes to be very good. Our neighbors ordered the Italian Beef with Cheese (see picture) and Chili Dog (see picture) - and both of them thought they tasted great, commenting especially about how good the chili was. “Stopped in after driving around Good guys around the fairground. Friendly staff and all the food sounds great and reasonably priced. Came in for a mikes harder lemonade for $2.00. Most beers are $4 others $3 depending on size of can. Definitely will be back. Happy with the service and cleanliness of the bar.“
