I love their chicken enchiladas mole. I read mole is the favorite sauce in Mexico and I can see why. We've eaten at Casa Azul many times while in Iowa City to see my Dr. Will be visiting Casa Azul again soon. Bonapetit!!!Parking: Easy parking near the entrance, which is important for me as I am elderly.
This is usually one of our favorite restaurants in Iowa City, but DON'T order delivery within an hour of closing. The order was clearly rushed and the vegan meal (ordered without dairy products) came with cheese melted all the way through it and none of it was edible.

Iowa city has no shortage of great Mexican food. But when we are taking out friends, we choose Casa Azul. Of course the art and decor grabs you, the kind staff keeps you, but it's the great menu and preparation execution that brings you back again and again. Oh, and at affordable prices too!
