“Had always wanted to try Mateo Kitchen since it is the only Filipino restaurant around and was finally able to make it out there. We started with the tteokbkki and we couldn’t finish with how many there were! It was something new to try and I’m so glad I did, I will definitely be getting it again. I got the pancit malabon and it was juuuuust right. The noodles were thinner than what I thought, but with how many toppings there were I’m glad they were thin otherwise it would’ve been too much. Friend got the beef stew…that didn’t look like traditional stew?¿?¿ but she said it was phenomenal nonetheless. She also had the milk free honeydew boba tea that I’m jealous I didn’t get. I just love those lil boba pearls! I love that Siouxland has this restaurant to showcase the diversity we have. Can’t recommend it enough!“

“Food: Absolutely amazing. I have loved every single thing I've eaten. The only item I couldn't finish was the garlic cheese curds. Incredible, but they were VERY garlicky and after about 6 they were a little hard to keep eating. Haha They would be wonderful to share as an app in a bigger group. There's a restaurant 'side' and a bar 'side.' Family friendly. Bullshooters, pull tabs, and Golden Tee game on the bar side. Great TV's. Could be a fun place to watch a game. The food is elevated bar food. And AMAZING ranch dressing. Good ranch is exceedingly important to me! LoL We've been here 4 times in 9 days. From 'discovering' it for ourselves. If that helps you make your decision to come here. LoL“

“Stepping into the Diving Elk, you feel sophisticated. This gem is one of Sioux City's best as far as restaurants and bars go in the area with an evolving, seasonal menu that will make you want to try something new every time you visit! Don't sleep on the classics like the truffle fries and brussel sprouts though, there's a reason those always stay. Also try out their weekend specials! After your visit, you'll know why this place consistently has a "Siouxland's Best Bar Tender" nominee. They are experts in their craft with an incredible selection of cocktails and craft beers. Sioux City is lucky to have such a trendy, vibrant spot for the foodies out here.“

“Great service, great food, and great people! We had amazing grilled cheeses and Mac n cheese and our family had their hamburger and fried chicken, everyone was well fed!!Vegetarian options: Wish they had more vegetarian options like Veggie patties for burgers or veggie chicken patties for chicken sandwiches.Veggie counterparts store well and heat up similar to meat and give customers more options on the same classic sandwiches or other meat-filled products you make by substituting proteins.Kid-friendliness: My daughter's actually LOVED this place, we won a Jack Skellington on their claw machine and their staff was AMAZING!!! Highly recommend just to meet some great folks!!!“

“This review is actually for the date of 5/3/24. My husband took me to Main and Abbey to celebrate my birthday. A.P. and Paige went above and beyond as always. They always make us feel so welcomed and wanting to come back! I can't thank you enough for making me feel so special-means a lot! The filet and scallops were excellent!“

“Awesome little coffee shop/sandwich and soup place! As a new transplant to Sioux City, I figured I would try to explore some of the restaurants right across the border in Nebraska. Can’t say I drink much coffee, so can’t rate this place on that — but stopped in for lunch & got a wrap with a bowl of soup…both were amazing!I also found out when I went there — again, out of towner — that they have a soup and salad bar for $9.99 (I believe) — $7.99 special price on Mondays. The salad bar looked LOADED with options from what I saw & they had two fresh soups on there in kettles.Highly recommend this place — it’s a MUCH better alternative to a place like Panera taste-wise and you are supporting a small business — how can you go wrong?“

“Went to Wheelhouse to see an NFL playoff game on their big screen televisions. My son absolutely loved his bacon cheeseburger and said fries were good but nothing unique. I had a great club sandwich with a bowl of chili (a slight upgrade over standard fries) and thoroughly enjoyed my alternate combo. Service was fantastic despite being very busy that night. Wheelhouse is located in a popular strip mall so found a parking space and did some walking to the bar.“

“I would get a Tastee growing up as a kid when I came up to Sioux City to visit my grandparents. I live in another state & it’s quite a drive. I haven’t been back to Sioux City in 5 years since my grandparents passed. I recently came back up this past weekend though, and knew I needed to stop in. The Tastee was just as good, if not better, than I remembered! It definitely brought back memories. If you have never tried a Tastee before, you need to. Also, their cheeseballs are a 10/10 ⭐️“

“The service was fantastic, the food was….okay. We were expecting a little more pizazz for the price. It was nice to have such a large selection of vegan and plant based options, even it it was a bit underwhelming. The wasabi has more of a kick than most restaurants we’ve tried so that was a plus. Nice ambiance “

“Always love going to Bob Roe’s when I have the opportunity. The wings and pizza are some of the best I’ve ever had.The pizza always has a good bake on it with crisp, slightly charred pepperoni. There are a few former Sioux Citians that I know that hit one of them every time they are back. I would recommend this place to anybody.“
“I was only able to get here once before they closed due to the construction of the hotel. Food was OK, but the waitress was ho-hum. I'll give it a 4 star for now, but I plan on giving it another go once they reopen and give them a fair review.“

“Red Lobster revolutionized the idea of what makes a restaurant a restaurant. Their staff goes above and beyond creating a homely atmosphere that yields all walks of life. The mastermind behind this heavenly home of hearth? One Miss Emily Blatchford. Truly a gift to the industry and looking forward to seeing them continue this great service.“

“We stopped by while traveling and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of food. We all had sandwiches/burgers/wraps and they all were delicious! I got the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was delicious! The fries were super crunchy and tasty. Great prices on menu as well. Service was a little slow but I’ve had much worse before.“

“The burgers are seriously to die for! It's like the adult version of McDonald's, but sooo much better. I love that patty is greasy but not gag greasy. It doesn't make the bun soggy, and it doesn't overpower the condiments on the burger. I absolutely love the cheese curds. There's usually a wait to get the food but totally worth it. Yum!“

“We were passing through on a month long vacay and asked 2 strangers on the street where they would recommend for lunch. They both said Soho. We are from south Louisiana so we know great food, lol. We walked down there and immediately loved the vibe, we’re greeted by 2-3 people. I tried the spicy chocolate PBS ?? (amazing). I ordered the popper topper burger (omg) & hubs ordered hot beef with gravy and mashed potatoes. He made a huge happy plate. Met Ben, one of the owners, real stand up guy and Nico(f) was our server, never left us hanging. 10/10“

“4.0 While a nice crispy waffle, are definitely at best cornmeal waffles. Barely a taste of cornmeal, definitely not cornbread waffles. The bell peppers are red and the skins are all that's there, surmising the flesh disintegrated because so they used frozen chopped. No jalapeno at all that I could taste or see. The andouille was diced way too small, the same amount but a larger dice would have added to the flavor combo. The chicken was prepared perfectly. The gravy was nice and light and didn't compete with the syrup. Syrup didn't come across with a bourbon caramel taste but it was a nice compliment to all the other seasonings. I'll come again and try something new. I had a lovely New Zealand Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc.“

“Drove all the way from Sioux Falls, SD to get Old Chicago. We had Jahni as our server. She was prompt, friendly, talkative. Our food was excellent. A tad sad they didn’t have spicy marinara, but above all great. Would recommend to anyone, and above all our service was excellent. Will definitely make the over an hour drive again for Old Chicago!“

“Was in town for a tournament and happened upon this place by chance. It was packed, so I sat at the bar. Service was outstanding, and it had such a hometown feel, and everyone seemed to know each other and was having a good time. My Grasshopper was great, as were the fried mushrooms, recommended by the bartender lady and pizza. I highly recommend this place and would go here again if in town.“
“This is a casino/restaurant that my parents have gone to for years for breakfast. I went here with a gaggle of children. The waitstaff was friendly and didn't mind the children, which is rare in a Restaurant. The restaurant itself was a typical diner in the Midwest, but the food was good and from what I saw in the kitchens, the chef's wore gloves. My mother and I had salads and the children ate off the children's menu. Everyone had enough to eat and had an awesome experience.“

“So I am in Sioux City for a business trip and I really wanted to experience the local fare & flavor of Sioux City. Well there is no better place to go to for that hospitality and local business owned operation than Kate's! I am planning to go back for a second trip this week and I want to ask for Kate's signature food to be able to give a review on some of their favorites. But just on first approach, it is in the most wonderful corridor in Sioux City it has that 1950s hometown feel to it. Inside the restaurant it is a cozy environment that is so welcoming to its patrons. It is clean, well decorated and inviting. Please note this is a cash or check only operation so no credit cards!“
