“Great place for a date night, we went to celebrate our anniversary which happens to be a couple of days before Valentine’s Day. We choose Crave as a suggestion from friends Ana family and because it had the red romantic vibe (we thought). The lights outside weren’t red like the photo, they’re blue, I think maybe they alternate colors? We ordered a couple of drinks, spinach & artichoke dip, short rib dumplings, oysters on a half shell, lobster crab roll, Thai steak and noodles. Everything was good, except the dumplings which were a bit doughy for my taste. Overall I can see why this is such a popular Eagle restaurant. They’re good for a lot of different occasions.”

“Navigating the Construction for a Bodacious Reward 🐷🐷🐷 Today, I had a lunch meeting at Bodacious Pig Barbecue, and we were determined to get there despite the construction on Old State Street. The road work is a bit of a mess, but it’s a small price to pay to support a local business that has been an Eagle staple since 2013. The restaurant, located directly in the heart of the construction zone in front of the Old State Saloon, is a prime example of a business persevering through difficult times. Stepping inside, the aroma of slow-smoked barbecue instantly makes you forget the detours and road closures outside. We wanted to show our support and encourage others to do the same. If you're deciding where to eat this week or weekend, please make the effort to visit them. A little bit of effort on our part goes a long way in supporting the local businesses that make Eagle great.”

“McCleary’s is hands-down my favorite dive bar in Boise. The vibe is immaculate, and the bartenders do a great job making sure everyone’s taken care of. There’s both an indoor bar and an outdoor bar. The crowd here is surprisingly young, and the backyard has tons of games. Giant beer pong, table tennis, Jenga, and more.

On Saturdays, they bring in live music, which is honestly the only day I avoid. It gets so loud you can’t really have a conversation, and it just isn’t enjoyable for me. Every other night, though, I love it, especially Fridays! I always end up meeting fun people, and the drinks are inexpensive.

If you’re looking for a spot to hang out with friends or meet a younger crowd, this is the place. If you’re into loud music and don’t care about talking, then Saturday nights are your jam.

This bar shines in the spring, summer, and fall. I skip it in the winter because the backyard doesn’t stay warm. They only have a couple of fire pits, and while they work, they’re not enough to make it cozy, you will still feel frigid. The indoor area is smaller than your typical dive bar: small, cramped, and it fills up fast when it’s cold out. But when the weather’s nice, this is the best dive bar in the valley.

Oh, and I don’t think they actually sell food, but every now and then there’s a food truck parked outside, which is a nice bonus.”

“I have to give Dylan credit amazing server in a lot of fun. We had some strange cheese appetizer that I would’ve literally thousand pieces of if I could get away with it. My main course was fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. I find myself eating a lot of the bread too. Lol please please please very great option for lunch. Affordable how are you my company? Enjoy the side salad with soup and I really had to tell you, you should order the nitro cold brew with cream if you need to wake yourself up. Again, compliments to the service, and the amazing layout of this restaurant I’ve been away from Boise for 15 years, in a very pleased to see some of the new additions as well as an eagle Cheers! “Izumi in Eagle has always been very good and very consistent. The service is top notch, restaurant is clean. The quality of the fish at this location is better than most in the valley. Yoki is a standout sushi chef. We always like to sit at the sushi bar so we can interact with him while he makes our order. Yoki makes this trip and the bill worth it!!”

“I wanted a sweet treat so my daughter and I made our way to Crumbl. This shop is conveniently down the road from us. I have frequented the Franklin location a few times but finally made it to the one closest to me in my area.

I did check out the the cookie options online and noticed they have the Dubai chocolate cookie as an option. I was sold! I never got a chance to try the Dubai cookie the previous time they had it so I was looking forward to trying it. There were also some other great options so I was excited to get my 4 pack.

Each Crumbl location looks consistent with each other. The cookies they had on display all looked fabulous. The cookies looked better on display than online. Trying to choose 4 was hard. But I went with the Dubai chocolate, Oreo, brownie batter and the chunky chocolate chip.

My 4 pack looked divine! All my cookies looked so good in my pink Crumbl box! I did try the Dubai and brownie batter when I got home. Both were so good! I look forward to sharing the Oreo and chocolate chip with my husband when he gets home. You can never go wrong with a classic chocolate chip cookie. And I'm sure the Oreo cookie won't disappoint either.

The staff here was a smidge friendlier than the Franklin location. They greeted us as soon as we walked in. The gal that handed me my box was nice. But that was all the interaction we got. I just know not to expect too much from the staff. They all rely on a tablet to deliver their customer service. My only expectations from Crumbl is a good product and that was delivered. My cookies were fantastic. I look forward to seeing what kind of goodies they will have around Valentines. Hopefully there's a lot of red and pink. Red and pink makes everything taste that much better.”

“Amazing food. Biscuits, Muffins and other pastries are made in house and they are incredible. Our whole group was very satisfied with their orders and the food came quickly. We did have to wait a bit on drink refills, but overall it was a great experience.”

“I have gone to Oak Barrel multiple times, same with my husband and friends. We went the Saturday before Christmas and it was the busiest we've ever seen it, which was awesome! Atmosphere was good and welcoming, our server was nice but a bit absent-minded and had to come to our table multiple times to check that the order was correct. My drink was incredibly expensive with only two ingredients- versus some of their speciality cocktails had tons of things and were cheaper...bit odd but okay. Our (four of us) biggest issue was the food itself. The bruschetta was amazing and the meatballs were decent. My salmon was fine and friends' steaks met with their approval. My husband's steak, not so much. He asked for a rare to medium-rare steak - we got a medium to almost well done steak. He told our waitress and she said if he wanted they could redo it, but he was the last served. So he told her no, he didn't want to make the kitchen have to redo it (with how busy the night was) and make the rest of the table wait.
Not entirely sure we will be back unfortunately.”

We were seated quickly, with a comical movie style quickness we had our drinks, and a heaping basket of chips and salsa placed in front of us. “My husband and I just love eating at China Palace. Everything we have eaten there has been so delicious, and it is our favorite place to go for Chinese food, which is pretty often. Everyone has been super friendly and nice to us every time we’ve visited, even the chef came out one time and was talking with my husband. “My husband and I have been dining here for 5-plus years, so I'm reviewing as a regular customer. I order the seafood lasagna and my husband gets the meat lasagna. In our minds we've found magnificent options, so why change? I"m sure other entrees are also wonderful, though,so I'm committed to trying something different next time. Maybe .We ordered the calamari appetizer in the bar a few months ago and it was better than the typical calamari offered by many restaurants.It was crispy, not greasy, and had a flavorful sauce that didn't taste like marinara from a bottle. Usually, we don't order appetizers here because the entrees are generously portioned. While we rarely have room left for dessert, the few times we've ordered it, it's been decent, but not memorable. That being said, ask your server if berry cobbler is available. If it is, order in advance (hot with vanilla ice cream) and save room for it. You'll thank this review later. Dinners start with the house salad and excellent bread (seriously delicious) and whatever beverages you want. There is a full bar and we've never been served a less-than cocktail. The wine menu is fairly basic with decent, affordable options. There are wines that will appeal to connoisseurs, as well. If you're looking for a place to watch a game and get a drink, the bar is cozy, and friendly with two or three tv's showing various sporting events (or just one if you're there during a Boise State Broncos game). You can order appetizers and dinner and eat in the bar, if you prefer that to the dining room. The restaurant is unpretentious and the people running it are friendly. Service has always been attentive and friendly. Occasionally there is live music. The restaurant is a bit on the small side and when it's busy, it gets noisy. It's not the best place for a quiet conversation and I wouldn't consider it romantic. It's got great food however, and a nice vibe! Dress is casual. Get reservations if you're showing up later than 5:30 on a Friday or Saturday. It's a busy place and is popular with us locals for a reason.”

There were a lot of new staff training and they handled it exceptionally. Our food was wonderful, I can’t complain about a single thing. We are picky drinkers and they accommodated every request. Shoutout to our server (I wish I remembered her name but she was cute and had dark dark hair) and shoutout to the chef for getting all of our orders out correctly and tasting fantastic. 10/10 tonight guys ✌️”

“Eat here all the time. The food never gets old. It is so good from the ribs to the Brisket and the Tri tip. Love there sides. Mac and Cheese my favorite but the Baked beans and smashed potatoes are incredible as well. Love how you don’t have to sit for hours to get my food. I never have to wait. It’s prompt service. Price is reasonable considering the cost of meat and everything being made homemade. The tastes are signature. I used to live in Missouri and thought I had tasted some of the best barbecue but not until now. So good you will not regret it. The deserts are incredible as well. The Bread pudding sundae or a mixed berry cobbler. Yum They also added new stuff to the menu. The brisket tacos and their new hamburgers. Then to top it off they added Breakfast the Brisket Benedict my favorite but their waffles are light and fluffy. Definitely a five star all around. Can’t wait to go back.”
